sol is looking like a really annoying unit to deal with in guild battles. unfortunately, fire is one of my weakest elements so i'm probably skipping him. learned my lesson with bridal alaya to never chase units if you can't pity lol. once again, great breakdown of his kit and showcase of his teams, KT! also good luck to everyone pulling for him on wednesday!

K7, does he appears on daily hard quest shards? I got just 35k visi and considering the worst scenary im not in the mod to carry a dead weight ( considering my VCs for Fire team comp ).
On WOTV stats I see that theres a comp with Alaya, Glaci, Sol. Is this one of those comps that works because its just 3 broken units or is there synergies in the VCs?
I want to summon for Sol, like really badly. He looks awesome and i know him from FFBE. The problem is, what if Halloween unit is another meta unit? Halloween is limited. If it doesnt end up being meta, i would miss out on Sol's banner. Its a tough and risky decision to make.
I'm gonna be honest here and say I come from the other FFBE game and don't know much about WotV. He's my favorite character and I have to say I'm a bit jealous he gets to be a great unit on WotV from what this video suggests. Which is great because he gets to be good at least somewhere. But it's also sad because in the other FFBE, he periodically gets done dirty in terms of getting an actual good unit... He never gets to be that strong in the game he comes from despite being a very strong character. So due to him being my favorite, I had to download WotV again and did all this grinding to get him and his VC and looked at this video to get an idea on how to build him. So thanks for the help!

Help!! I need to limit break my Sol (last break) but I can't find Sol in the list of unit shards...Why can't I choose Sol from my UR shard tickets? Does this game restrict such tickets so player would have to wait for newer unit release to be able to use the tickets on previously new units? Or does SOL use a different ticket (but he is not a limited unit which confuses me even more)...
The shards ticket doesn’t include Sol yet. Most likely new tickets starting next Wednesday will include Sol. All the ones obtained prior to that will not include him.
Is there a way to make Sol work with Dialdo and Rinoa, or Dialdo and Bradley/Eurel. Unfortunately don't have Shalze or a built up Rain or Minwu, I do have KMont at 140, but mainly looking for a "fuck Alaya" team that uses other elements than Fire since I don't have many built up. I play on Global and foresee this will be the meta for a long while. I'm fine with not having a lot of VC synergy, just mainly looking to get by mostly from the kits and esper stats on my team at most for now until I pull Shalze and build up Rain (and Minwu too)
Dialdo is able to reach 100 Lightning res, Alaya should have a very hard time dealing with him. She likely will use her LB against Dialdo as soon as she is in range. Her AP won’t last too much longer after that. Is Edward the unit that give you problems? If you just to annihilate Alaya with your earth setup + Sol, maybe you can try messing around with these VCs, Silver memories: Rinoa & Sol, 60% magic FMA VC: Dialdo & Sol, 18% agility The most effective way I think, is to keep your current earth setup and give Sol a high Strike res esper. Let him carry either Magic or Agi VCs. I am not sure if it would work.
If I only have Minwu as healer, which tank should I use for my Sol team? King Mont or Rain? btw I have Sol's VC, Silver Memories, and encounter of Heroes... But I dont have Psaro's VC or any of the dark esper cards.
Go with Rain, silver memories supports with Rain but not Mont. Instead of Dark Tetra you can use Brachiosaurus 🦕 for 20 unit target res. Black rose of the battlefield or Scion of House Beoulve can replace Pearo’s for 8% agility on the sub slot.
You are welcome. This game is very deep, you started at a great time. The 4th anniversary is coming in a couple weeks, hold on to your visiore. Typically a mainline FF plus a non-FF collaboration will happen during anniversary.
Astrius needs to equip his +1 move support to be effective imo. He is a great barrier breaker which can check Sol to a certain extent. I should be able to figure something out with Astrius by the time he hits Global. I think Sol has a better kit and a friendly AI. Astrius’ buffs could be a bit tricky to control. Both are very good units. I think it really depends on what VCs and units you have. One thing to keep in mind mind, the JP anni is coming up in about 5 weeks.
Curious about Rain's typical strike res in these setups. I know he comes in with a huge weakness there. How is he surviving against fist teams with such a weakness? I know Sol can heal him but I'm half expecting BAlaya to one shot him, haha
Sol group buff gives fire allies 35 strike res for 3 turns. Plus greater demon esper 25, which I forgot to give that o him during the mono lightning match. That’s why he took over 5k damage from Alaya.
Trying to figure out what VC's to run with Sol/Shalze/Alaya and it's making my brain hurt. I don't have dark ifrit so wondering what the best VC's would be. I am definitely using the FMA card but having trouble slotting the rest of the cards

It's clearly implied that "Magic Up 4" is Magic Attack up 4, but you may want to clarify this for newbies who might mistake this for MAG up, even if that one is 7% starting.
Nah celes won’t protect you with her runic. Sol skill is all select 2 .Even he hits celes and other teammate runic will only proc on her and not others. If you want to beat sol use magic attacker like Miranda, amnnelis or even the free MR deah to kill him quickly before he starts annoy you with the heals
Wish I can get him but don’t have enough vis to pity 😢. Hope he comes in to me in the future since he is not limited. Going to save for lighting Astrius to counter sol for now. Hopefully max reincarnation so I can run triple max reincarnation lightning unit to counter sol 😂
I believe so. Use a generic agi card in the sub slot & Psaro VC as main. Not having the 10 unit res from bestowed isn’t the end of the world. He will lose out on some damage, could drag out fights. Still doable. You might not need to pity 💪. Good luck on your pulls!!
I'm seeing a lot of people on the community undecided to pull for him because of Halloween but the way I see it the risk vaaastly outweighs the benefit. If Sol banner goes away and you could've pulled for him, your best case scenario is the Halloween unit is just AS good. There is so, sooooo little chance that a new unit will be better seeing as Sol is already the TOP best unit so far right next to alaya. So you're risking a for certain top tier unit, to see if they *might* announce something as good (better is practically impossible)?, sounds like wishful thinking that will most certainly become disappointment. The other scenario is you pull and get sol, the unit comes and is just as good then you use your very powerful sol to fight that just as powerful unit while destroying everything else. What's the dilemma? I don't see it.
@@kt7up7 yeah sometimes I forget that people from GL just play the game like JP doesn't exists, I wouldn't be able to play the game like that. But you're right and most likely people that find themselves thinking between sol and an unknown new unit just do not understand how good sol is.
Sol Alaya & Glaci are not meta, they are simply throwing the best units on the same team. These type of teams rely heavily on max reincarnation, there are not much VC synergies. Shalze + Rain/Mont are better imo.
coming back to this 2 weeks later. ive ran into a lot of sol teams. but they all were flattened by squall/alaya quite easily. maybe its different at the very top of the game (my guild is in Taurus) - but on average the "alaya hard counter" just doesnt seem to materialize. Still a bloody good unit tho. I run him on my sub with KMont and Shalze.
I can see that happen. Sol’s weakness is AOE res & too dependent on his barrier. Once Alaya is close enough to use her barrier break then Squall follow up with AOE, he is cooked. I took out some Sol teams with that. The reason why I built Rain to have over 100 AOE res is to counter that strategy. The enemy AI will use single target attack against Rain thus keeping Sol out of harms way. You got a solid fire team there 🥂

Use the 🦖 card for 20 Unit res. Tetra has more card stats & 5 AOE res from bestowed but has 5 less unit res.

Yeah Sol is not a limited unit. You can farm his shards slowly.

Yep 3 broken units. These type of teams usually rely on heavily reincarnated units and have little to none VC synergies.

I mostly would do this:
Sol - Silver Memories & his own VC
Shalze - FMA & black rose
Alaya - Free FMA & inherited Will

But that wouldnt make sense as both suggested staves have magic attack up and it wouldnt stack. Seems like a typo for me and he meant MAG 7

If 1v1, I would say yes. However, Grenaback is very weak to AOE & slash. He is mainly here to help water to beat fire.
