If you cancel bandit revolver before hitting the opponents within a certain height(very strict) you get a 50/50 j.S(this is almost a instant overhead) or wild throw. If you let bandit revolver hit the opponent in blockstun then RC, wild throw will whiff crouching opponents. It's really hard and assuming you can actually do it in match would be insane. If you can't nail the timing for the RC consistently, you won't be able to condition the opponent to have the added mental stack of worrying about the overhead. The trick is if you're going for the wild throw, delay j. S so that the animation shows up and do the motion ➡️⬇️↘️ in air. Time pressing K so that when you land. It's instant In the corner, you also have low option from 2K > 6P > gunflame > bnb Another tip of advice, I recently found out cl. S > (delay)f. S > 5H > bnb Combos naturally. If you delay it too much, it blue beats, or in others words would not connect. This is a useful conversion if j. S connects, since, after the bandit, it's low enough to consistently hit cl. S
Looks useful. And the game seems plenty complex w/stuff like this. So it's 6(forward), Dash, RC, or 6+Dash, RC. Application of RC was the one mission besides IB I couldn't clear. Thanks for showing Leo's cS, then jK as the moves to use. Good vid.
Actually Nago gets something somewhat similar. Off his 214HS since he's airborne for a couple of frames at the start you can do a quick purple RC into his j.K or land and go for his 2K or cmd grab. Its not as layered but its lightning fast and you can do it off of any normal or block string so you can catch them off guard with it really easily.

I tried my best to copy your inputs but some time it works and some times I have the animation of the airdash and the roman cancel toghether (so I can't airdash more for the second overhead). It's 50-50 :(
Ok i played strive its fun and all but id change 1 mechanic the dashing RC , if u ask me id make it if u hold a direction u rc that way instead of duble tapping but thats more of a qualaty of life change tbh all in all fun game
Just a small thing but around 2:35 when you show the examples of one mixup being high and one being low, the example with the low uses 2S which is a mid and not a low. The idea still works but that specific example isn’t quite correct.
I'm trying to do this with Sol, but my jump cancel into RC is a little high vertically. I keep going over my opponent. It's weird because sometimes I do get a nice low cancel like what you were doing in this vid, but i don't really understand what i'm doing wrong. I have been trying the c.s/5k jc RC with both directionally tapping, as well as my macro dash button into RC. RC is manual 3-button press, if that makes any difference.
I use a Victrix. Its expensive and honestly you can get an obsidian for half the price and it has all the same parts. Just during s3 dbfz I had a really good month so I got the victrix as a reward to myself 😳
@@rooflemonger nice. Always wanted to get a fight stick but kinda getting used to playing on pad. I could use bigger buttons though cause my hands are huge and I often lose the grip on thumb sticks.
@@rooflemonger The game takes it as if you did the forward RC cause it doesn't track diagonal inputs so if you do 669 fast you start your jump and instantly get a drift forward BRC

@@SaltiestSalem Use j.D on top of the opponent aftee knockdown, then dash to the other side with a Roman Cancel. It's a left/right mixup that can lead to a full combo of done right

in this instance if you do it that way with your jump up, you will RC up instead cause your last input was up. So in this case you do have to hit forward first just to make sure you don't rc in the wrong direction.
Don't encourage people to use macros for fighting games, please. Teach them how to improve, yes, but not how to automate things so they never learn. Your content is awesome, but the macro parts just made me unsub
When he says macros he just means assigning an action to one button instead of the default. It's not some hack or anything. It's a button setting in the game. So instead of hitting forward twice to dash you just hit a button instead. It's a standard option in fighting games like this.
You unsubbed for me telling the truth? People should use macros when available it makes life easier. I myself have a failing left wrist and the dash macro is a big reason I like this game cause I am not in pain after a long session thanks to it. You have an awful attitude.

For sol u can just mix mashing jab, 2k, and wild throw. If u land a jab u can conform a 5k or 5s combo. If u land 2k u can do get sweep into dp

True. Fame uses blue RC a lot to create openings with Nagoriyuki, which really amplifies his ability to pressure.

I notice a lot of crouching attacks aren't lows. I only recently realized as Sol I only have like 2 actual low attacks.
Yup. 2S isn't low. Only 2D and 2K

Its a true blockstring so you can't DP through it or reverse through it at all. There is no gap to do so.

You can get the same RC by doing 5S 669 RC. That way you don't risk going too high
no you cannot? the game does not accept any diagonal as a slide RC input. It absolutely has to be one of the four cardinal directions

opponent status, set to all guard, and then block switching to random should work

When you want foward roman drift you dont even need to input forward, pressing the dash macro without directions makes it a forward dash by default!
