The water there is incredibly clear and feels very clean to swim in, just a great feeling when you need to cool down from a hike

I have lots of memories from that place too, from when my kids were young. I agree - so nice to be there without all the crowds of mid-summer. September midweek is the way to go if you don't have kids in school
