This channel is for anyone, of any age, who wants to discover the outdoors in Ontario.
I love being outdoors and exploring new conservation areas, parks and trails. I know it's helpful to learn a little about an area before heading out, and also to have a resource to find new outdoor places to experience.
I will regularly visit outdoor areas and post videos of what the area looks like, as well as difficulty levels, distances, and terrain.
Let's get out there! I hope you join me on this journey of outdoor activity for all ages.

Bruce Peninsula National Park, Cyprus Lake Campground, Tobermory
I love camping at this national park near beautiful Tobermory on Georgian Bay. The lake in the campground (Cyprus Lake) is excellent for paddling and swimming, the 5 km trail around the lake is beautiful, and the Georgian Bay shoreline is spectacular (I show this part in my next video about The Grotto).
I have included maps and other information at the end of this video.

What a super place to walk around! When you're visiting the busy Niagara area, this is a wonderful area for some peace and quiet. This video shows what the area looks like, and it contains parking information, maps, and the story of the stranded scow that is still visible 100 years later. This group of small islands is less than 1 km up-river from Niagara Falls. There are lots of little bridges...

This is a very beautiful paved trail through forests and parks and along a small river. It's in the city but does not feel like it at all. I rode my bike 15 km from Guildwood GO station along the Highland Creek Trail through Morningside Park to the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and then back to Guildwood GO through some local residential streets. What a wonderful afternoon I spent here with my two young grandchildren. Lots to explore, lots to learn, lots of fun for all ages. I highly recommend this place, not only for the interesting history and historic demonstrations, but for the surrounding area with so much to see. I have some other videos from the Niagara area. The trails in the northern section of this incredible National Park are more suited for bike riding than hiking, so I rode on the Central Trail in Markham. It was beautiful! Parking and entry are free of charge. This video shows the trail and provides information on cycling this trail, parking, and maps. This is a lovely walk around the beautiful pond and through the forests - feels like you are not near a city at all. The distance around the lake is 1.2 km and there are some other trails for about 5 km if you wanted to add on some distance. The trails are flat and paved, crushed stone and boardwalk, generally considered to be accessible. There is a forest therapy trail here with signs giving s...

This is a wonderful parkland with trees (labelled with what type of tree they are), flowering shrubs, ponds, a river, bridges, forests, meadows, and lots of benches. It is free to park and enter, and you could go for just a few hundred meters or wander down all the inter-connecting paths for 10 km or more. This is a stop along the Nokiidaa bike trail. This is a very small park but so interesting and beautiful to see. From the parking lot there is a lovely lookout over Lake Ontario 60m below, and across the street is a large lake at this high elevation. It is grass to the fence for the lookout, and the lake lookout across the street is accessible with a ramp. This is not a usual provincial park. There is no gate, but there is a sign that expl...

This video brought back some great memories from when I took my family to Cyprus Lake. We really enjoyed the hike to the grotto and boulder beach. That yurt looked very inviting, I wonder if it's open all winter. Great video as always and I'm really looking forward to the next episode of this trip.
Very nice my friend like and support here thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This looked wonderful to kayak, swim in the lake and enjoy a camping trip. I've got to ask, why Catcher in the Rye? How did this tradition start? I like that this park also had Yurts too.
Such a wonderful place. No particular reason for that book - my husband likes to read when we're camping and that was the book he found around the house. He keeps bringing it camping, so I suppose he will eventually finish it and start on a new one haha. Have a great day!
@@carolannontario Ah okay. That was a favorite book of mine growing up 😊
My husband just loves the Holden Caulfield character
Nice place for a hike 👍
Totally agree!
Very cool video. I'm sad summer is coming to a close although i still love fall camping.
I agree that fall camping is so nice - just a little cooler in the tent at night. Enjoy your fall camping if you go this year
Wonderful video of the Cyprus Lake camping ❤ enjoyed watching ❤ can't wait for your next Grotto video ❤
Thanks so much!
Amazing place
It really is!

Thanks for watching and thanks for your nice comments!
How nice to be able to get out on the water and kayak there. This lake is so big you could come back to it often and see a new section. Loved seeing the monarch butterfly when you were on that trail .
I was thinking the same thing - I think I'll go back and try out a different area next time. Thanks for watching
So nice to share your love of the outdoors with your grandchildren. In the age of video games it's important I think to connect kids to other stimuli like appreciating the outdoors. 👍
Totally agree!
Wonderful to spend time in nature with the family. Beautiful area for biking and walking
I agree. It's just the best
Hi Carol Great shots Thank you for your impressions, well done 👍🏻 The shots turned out very varied, thank you for sharing. Greetings Semare 🇨🇭

I think you'll like it
love those trails too, me some riding buddies we would ride Taylor Creek trails ect..
Great idea! I'm going to try those trails
What a beautiful place, treetop trekking is pretty popular in Ireland too. I droned a castle in the middle of a forest lake recently that had a very similar look to this place. Great video 👍
Your video is amazing!
Green and Beautiful for sure .. What a great park to explore. "Awesome Maps" I hope your son is feeling better soon... Happy Friday 😊✌️
A nice surprise to find so much beautiful nature close to a large city. Have a great week
Looks like a great park, will try to go someday this year ❤ Thanks for sharing ❤ Wonderful film 🎥💖
I think you’ll enjoy it. Thanks!
Great job filming this area. Very beautiful and I liked all the different trails you showed. That treetop course looked fun! I also like the graphic at the end showing all this area had to offer.
The treetop trekking also looks terrifying for someone with a fear of heights! But I might try it some day …
Oak Ridges are the Headwater for the Black Creek and East Humber......the origins of the Humber River is in Mono
Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it!
Could someone get the rail trails all linked up and added to, creating a large network of linked trails across southern Ontario.
We need to connect the nokiidaa trail to mount Albert so the people of mount Albert can bike or walk to new market
That would be fantastic
I've added that place to my list of sights to see for when I'm in southern Ontario. Great tour, thanks for sharing this.
Oh I hope you enjoy it there!
Beautiful place. A lovely video.
Many thanks
So beautiful peaceful place, thanks😍👍

I really appreciate how you organize your presentations and help viewers to get the most out of a visit, and that you include accessibility.
Thanks so much. That is my goal - to show what to expect and provide information, as well as showing how fun and inspiring it can be to get out in nature. And I really love when places have accessible trails and facilities - it makes nature available for everyone. I appreciate your comments
Cool to have trails, and the farm animals all in one place. Looks like an excellent place for families to spend the day.
There's lots to do there and yes, a great place for families

How fantastic that you can take your bike on public transportation to get here. Looked like a beautiful bike path!
Yes, I love taking my bike on public transportation. There's so much traffic around Toronto and not always easy to find parking. This way I can relax and read my book!
