Thank u hert for showing your true side. We all have issues from pro to novice, Track flat to big grippy bank, low hp to high hp, high torque to high rev torque, left hand drive to right hand drive, it all plays a part in all of our builds to adjust!
Those are his and Hoonigan cars that are for pure fun and entertainment. This is actually a professional sport with sponsors, and cars that are worth $50-$100k+
ik its just a joke but the balls it takes to hit man line is considerably less than the balls it takes to huck your pride and joy at a wall while holding your foot to the floor in 4th gear lol
Hert…. Send it… your a driver. You know what your doing.. just commit and send it. Your not full committing.. there’s no half tries in a bank.. gotta stay on the gas, and chuck it into the wall a lil bit. Your flicking away from it. You got this dog.
As someone who has never drifted before and I’m building a drift car it’s very inspirational to see you be very afraid of the bank and see you all inch into it every run the fear is there but evil side comes out and want to play 🤣🥶
if you never drifted, best to not over build. keep it stock and simple until you earn the skill, then add power, angle, and whatever it takes to make it comfortable for you.. mistake people do is over build and they cant drive their car.. bucket seat is a must or you'll be flying around everywhere lol
Everyone always tries to "Build a drift car". I say take easy. Take your stock car out... and just learn basic controls and how your car feels naturally to drive. The OG's Japanese guys use to rip around in bone stock cars. Then upgrade suspension to something not to crazy and maybe get some decent set of tires. I wouldn't even go for angle until much later when you've really mastered or gotten a good feel for what your car does. Power is absolutely the LAST thing you should add. The whole point is keep it simple... and keep it reliable and just go drive. Don't worry about trying to build like what you see guys on youtube or whatever have. They all had to start from stock or somewhere and work their way up. Don't jump into the deep end until your ready.
Hert you're a real down to earth grass roots driver. you have always went out to have fun and now you tossed yourself into an entirely new type of drifting thats different to you. none of us could have done it. being competitive in drift is leaps and bounds tougher without any seat time, add in being on a team with a car thats not owned and built by you makes it even worse so u will 100% worry. Adam Lz and Taylor Ray had to work it out and they have ungodly amount of seat time in comparison. its all just time and getting used to the car man. when that light switch flips in your head your gonna be a whole new animal out there. We all glad to see you back in a car we aint going anywhere
It's cool to see the progression of so many already sick drivers as they experience comp spec cars and comp level nerves, iys very humbling and also very relatable, because you have a different style of controlling the car, ie alot of clutch and throttle input as opposed to lots of steering and throttle input etc changes the learning process I guess 🤷♂️ quickly becoming one of my firm favourites to watch, big up ya self Hert ✌️
Mad respect you conquering that bank Hert! Keep it up. You’re lookin good out there. Going for what makes you feel uncomfortable makes you become 10 times better and stronger! It’s always great to conquer your fears
Please please upload 1-2 times a week. Thank you hert for the inspiration of not giving up in any situation. i look forward to seeing your progress. To the editors, you guys are awesome too and thank you for all you do
Hey man, being brave isn't about NOT being scared doing something thats scary. Being brave is doing something even though it IS scary. And to be open about it and just come out and say it, doubly so. No lie, that'd scare me too. I get the same shakes and thoughts in my head on some of the mountain roads I run. No lie, I dont always overcome them either. Keep on keepin on, love the content.
Hert, you have the absolute best Beer With episode. Can you talk the Hoonigsn gang into doing more? I bet after becoming a father you can now drink double. Lots of love. Jeff from western Pennsylvania
Definitely did the right thing by slowly learning the car and taking it easy. Bank tracks are not a place to push it or you could very easily write that car off. If it feels like too much car, just take the grip out of it. Most people at klutch kickers are driving over built cars and probably wont be able to do very well so making it easier to drive will give you a better shot. the biggest proof of this is chelsea putting his 350hp notchback on hulls FD Car in practice. Goodluck ma boi🤙🤙🤙
hert your human even though all the videos I've seen of you slaying tires you look like a pro seriously. baby steps here and there and before you know it, you will "man line" every got damn track and represent the regular joes!! honestly if you were driving the twerk stallion you would have hit that bank like a bat outta hell bruh, you will get there bud stay positive and keep slayin
Oh man I love that 350z, that has to be the best looking drift one of those I've ever seen. Any idea what engine is in that? Was hoping an LS. Great job though Hert, seemed like you were initiating real early, but you got it and have definitely improved. Race driver or soldier or ceo or politician, one of the greatest strengths a person can exhibit is the ability to say "look, I'm not great at this thing. Lemme find people who are, and be humble and listen and learn from them. Then I'll crush whatever it is I'm struggling with." I respect the hell out of any man that can do that
Nice man. Getting better every lap. It looks like the front is too gripped up and twitchy, maybe try upping the front tyre pressures and it might loosen it up abit and let the fronts slide a bit. Probably more like your used to with that style of knuckle. We've banged doors on assetto before...keep the R32 game strong.
I feel like you could have just tried to grip drive the car near the wall around the corner just on the limit of the rear breaking traction then just commit on the gas and carry it the rest of the way and do that a couple times until you're feeling good or confident in how the car reacts. You still look dude dude! What a blessing to rip a car like that forreal.
That dude rips in the 350. Seen him doing klutch kickers, I've never drifted a day in my life but it seems like torque helps so much more. Literally clutch kicking the shitt outta that thing lol
You got this bro don't psych yourself out you gotta just go for it and the bank at the freedom factory isn't as big or intimidating. Get some more seat time in that car you got this!
Hope you didn’t get disheartened Hert, you are full of skill and definitely shouldn’t think this is above you. If you was 100% comfortable in the car and didn’t care about breaking it you’d make it look too easy
Looks sketch! Looks like the z flicked towards the bank before initiating the drift I could see why you wouldn’t want to jump right into that lol… also I’m super Stoked you’re getting into formula d I’ve been waiting for this for years you’re my favorite driver hert!!!
what I learned from watching FD, you have to flick into the initiation on a bank. you just have to if your engine can't light up the rear tires on initiation.
Brah your a beast. Killing it an learning along the way!! It would have been boring if you just jumped in the car and just got it first go! Keep at it! ✊🏾
I've never drifted in my life (yet). But this looks like when you're used to skateboarding on the street and go try a half pipe, it's very weird at first.
I know this doesn’t matter at this point because round one has already started, but you got it the only thing preventing you is your fear. You have enough skill and experience.
Almost seems to be a bit too much grip, looks like it’s a fight to keep the car in drift and in the sweet spot of the power band. I can completely understand how scary it would be to try to run that high line with the car setup like that.. don’t let it get to you my man the more seat time you have in the car the more you will learn how you want the car setup and understand how it wants to be driven. Stoked to see you pushing it!
I don’t know you hert or know what’s going on your head .. but your letting the past haunt you track owns you right now and it’s time you take it back.. you’ve been taking risks all your life ! Love you bye
i obviously understand all the first times, but all it takes is that one full commit, 100% send where you feel the cars limit and then its to the next breakthru.
Maybe I'm just not that smart about drifting, and this is probably the wrong place for this comment, but wouldn't it be cool to see drift track racing? I mean an entire pack of cars, trying to be first, but it's on long sweeping tracks. Would be so cool imo. GO HERTZ!!!! Don't fear the man who turned 1000 corners, fear the man who practiced 1 turn 1000 time (Zen Drift, the game.)
Awesome work Hert.....and thanks for including your team mate's car in the video as well....that thing is a complete monster....I'd love you know it's specs....much love from Down Under....😁👍
One thing I take away from watching your driving is you need to be smoother in your throttle you blip too much as you're driving which is probably 1 of the main causes you lose so many engines you need to give smoother inputs
Is it me or doesn't look and sound weird hearing @hertlife #hert sounding "PROFESSIONAL " as opposed the the hoonigan hert 🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣🤣... gotta give it to a bro looool

@@luisfrayre_ totally agree with this. Its best to start with stock with the very basics to drift and work up from there.
Kiss method!!! keep it simple and stock! tires and go
@@luisfrayre_ Facts...Everyone always overbuilds their stuff then ends up getting burnt out, not having fun and gives up.

Seriously. They’re like family, it’s a great feeling to have them believe in me like this.

Brandon's bank like is sick, and consistant. Props to him!

Appreciate the kind words. That’s the only way to grow in life.

Caint wait to see you progress as a driver don’t give up! Seat time, seat time, seat time!!
Proud of you Dude 👏, well driven and no crashu. Props for having big cojones but using brain 🤟
That bank is gonna be the rd. 1 winner
glad im here
A lot of drivers don’t show their true side on camera. Props to you for keeping it real and knowing that dick swinging doesn’t effect a learning curve

We love you hert , now you gotta go run the man line in the car at hoonigan🤣
I respect you actually trying to learn the car and get comfortable instead of wrecking the car trying to go balls to the wall first run out lol
what I learned from watching FD, you have to flick into the initiation on a bank. you just have to if your engine can't light up the rear tires on initiation.
Let’s go hert!!!!
Just keep working at it 🤙
I could listen to this all day
Sameeeeee
Just from bank experience. Always found small weight transfer than straight onto power always kept me high on any bank.
LETS GOOOO GOOD SHIT HERT !
The "hahahah-hahahah" part of failure was felt for real 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe try -6 deg in the front, might make it more comfortable. Ratio also looks too long for the bank.
That’s normally what I run. We have to make some adjustments to the suspension because it’s currently maxed out at -3.5 or -4
Mad respect, Hert!
I love these vlogs… it’s like lz or hunt vlogs
Don’t you have a sim rig? You got it with some left foot braking 💯
Brah your a beast. Killing it an learning along the way!! It would have been boring if you just jumped in the car and just got it first go! Keep at it! ✊🏾
Try riding with the 350 in the passenger seat and get a feel for riding that close on that side of the car
Rbs are the best sounding inline 6 .
Factual.
I've never drifted in my life (yet). But this looks like when you're used to skateboarding on the street and go try a half pipe, it's very weird at first.
I use to drift my stock v6 quad cab Dakota, drifters ha e these overpowered cars and still xant use it. Hert is a boss. Me a yaad man born drifter.
Mad respect Big Dog!
Believe Hert! Just feel it out and F#%ken send it!!!!
I don’t think you give yourself enough credit! You can shred!! No doubt! 🤘🔥 I probably couldn’t do that on a crazy kart 😂
You got this bro! Still ripping it legit!
I know this doesn’t matter at this point because round one has already started, but you got it the only thing preventing you is your fear. You have enough skill and experience.

Your getting better and better bro I wish you the best of luck 🤞
Just gotta send it like you send it on the skid pad. whip that entry.
Bro that z tho was whippiiiiing that shit homie was going crazy
Need a huge Scandinavian flick at initiation; it kinda helps booty slap the car up the way
Heart my dude, you need another spacer up front, 25 or 30 mm so get a bit more angle
The realest ❤️
Also purge on the haters
That car sounds so damn good.
You've got this mate
You got this dog!
Car sounds crazy

how many scooby snacks will you drift the bank for Hert ?...😂😂😂 nuff respect keep doing your thing drift daddy
"AND ANOTHER ONE!!"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍩🍩🍕🍕👍

Where and how do I start drifing at tracks and such? I’m located in Savannah, GA.
How do u just get into a random car and bang out laps. You are awesome.
did you compete at KK this past weekend ?
Kick ass. Also, that Z seems to have all the horsepower, or am I crazy.
It’s gnarly haha
Hope hert does a similar setup on his personal r32
One thing I take away from watching your driving is you need to be smoother in your throttle you blip too much as you're driving which is probably 1 of the main causes you lose so many engines you need to give smoother inputs
The Ole rbs need constant mat. They don't like wat wat pedaling. Peps struggle trying to drift mine. Different animals they are
Imo drift cars don’t belong on banks but I know we’re just using the tracks we have left over from previous motorsports
I agree haha.
Ya really hate seeing another skyline making its way to the scrap bin 😭😔
