Glad Dave Schroeder is okay. That was quite a wreck. It's a great reminder to all of us who enjoy watching these 3000+ HP monsters on the track that when things go wrong, they can really go wrong. Let's hope that the rest of Sick Week is safe, above all.
I love the people that stand in front of the cars when they are doing a 2 step Check. One wire end coming loose while the car is vibrating and banging all over the place (obviously feasible) and that Trans brake releases and launch time, right through the crowd. If they knew all the gailure points that could cause the brake to release suddenly they wouldn't stand there.
0:25 0:37 Once again " Cleetus " proves that he is an unsafe idiot doing stunts for clicks. There is absolutely NO DEFENSE for bringing a car up on the trans brake with the car on the ground / people standing in front. He should be thrown out of the event, no excuses. And yes, I'm prepared for the fan bois to call me childish names.
Just the best drag racing content! Always stops my heart to see racecar crash, glad the safety gear works. This is for all you people out there building fast cars, remember the safety gear too! Without it its a death trap. Broke my back while racing but I’m still here!
Glad Shroders was fine, shame for the crash. Hope to see Ben and his Barra powered Toyota Cresta in the video and maybe "interview" with him being one of the Aussies
I think it looked like Schroeder lost a right side axle and that's what turned him to the right suddenly. Even though you can't really see it in the video, he said it was shaking like crazy so that could very well have snapped the axle.
Great content , I keep checking the feed for Sick week racing with the other You Tubers posting. I know its still early days but Team Sweden is going to tough to beat.

Lotta good runs first day though. Gratz to Dennis and Alex on breaking into the 200 club Well done. Loved watching that car develop. Tom and Steve are Tom and Steve and are just expected to do well as always. Its almost an unfair advantage just being them 🤣
It's funny how many people still say Brade-ing-ton when there's no i or g in BradENton. I said it that way myself for years, until I went there, raced there and saw the actual signs (way back when any/all maps were paper only). Keep up the great work/videos👍 and looking forward to seeing everyone at Gainesville Raceway...

Timing issues aren't always engine timing. The driver has to be aware of timing and deal with the stress. Grabbing the wrong stick and such are so common. I would hate to be around a perfectionist during a Drag Week! These parts issues make me want to make all my parts to be sure someone didn't cheat me on the materials.
