An easy way to make "candied" sweet potatoes on top of the stove in 30 minutes or less!! Sweet potatoes, brown sugar, white granulated sugar, splash of orange or lemon juice, cinnamon, all spice, pure vanilla flavoring, & butter. If you like nutmeg use it 💯. I personally don't 🤷‍♀️. Add 1/4 cup water to start. REMEMBER don't fully cover the pot-- they will burn 🔥. I like them sweet adjust sugars to your family's taste. God Bless XOXO Jen ❤️.

Well, once again, another good recipe. I love sweet potatoes. Believe it or not, I did not know that sweet potatoes and yams were different. No idea. Who says that we don’t learn something new every day? I am grateful for this recipe because I have never made them on the stove before. I am so used to baking them. I will, most definitely, try this method. I love a lot of sweetness too. I will go extra on the brown sugar. Sweet potatoes are good with ham at Christmas time. A wonderful side dish.
