All the people that we saw seemed healthy and took pride in themselves - we didn't see a single obese person. The cost of living is high, but so are the wages. Our friend trained as a midwife in England but simply couldn't afford to live here after she qualified and she said that the working environment in the NHS was extremely toxic. She was also being exploited by an unscrupulous landlord. She had no choice but to move back to Switzerland, where she's paid much more, can afford a comfortable home and has a higher quality of life. When we returned back to England after our visit, we were utterly depressed. When people asked me what I thought of Switzerland, my answer was always the same: 'it feels like that's what life should be like, while England feels like a slow twist of the knife'.

The key to People Government by Referendum is to ask the right questions in the referendum. Bearing in mind what the Swiss Government did during Covid, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Before we hold referendum's we need to get rid of all governments as they are corrupt, controlled and lobbied

In past years I worked for two large companies, both had their head office in Switzerland.

Very interesting talk and it gives me hope if the system that runs successfully in Switzerland can be introduced here in the UK I am aware there have a very good system and lots of great Idea in the industry area and even in schools 😊
I think it is a pity that this man keeps siting Wales as the example when there has been so much controversy over the 20mph speed limits and how that was brought in regardless of what the people there think. It doesnt really give a good impression of the Swiss idea of government. It is good to have these ideas brought up for debate and conversation amongst the people.
