    Oh god ok, he may be older now but i still like him lol. I still see that sweet face and he still sounds like same old data...
    I agree with his anti gun thing, not much into the politics of stuff tho! , but we are a very anti gun kind of place, or atleast its very heavily restricted, and its worked out FINE for us like this for decades. - Love from Canada!! ❤️

    Many thanks for uploading the video!!! Biggest respect to him, I totally agree with him about guns!
    I live in a country where gun control exists. We have much less dead than USA. You can also compare it with Australia, there are also less dead since they have introduced gun control.

    I think he missed the point. Yes, guns can inflict damage, that’s how they’re very effective self defense tools.

    Brent Spiner was rude as hell to people waiting in line to meet him at a GalaxyCon in Louisville. He was on his cell phone for minutes before allowing the line to advance. Also, I just wanted to
    say hello and say I remembered him from an "The Outer Limits" episode. The jerk looked down
    at his cell phone as I was in mid-sentence. That was inexcusable of Brent Spiner.

    • @Knight21030

      Yeah, sadly it's common knowledge that Spiner generally lothes TNG fans and anything to do with the show. He only attends those cons because he's paid to. He even says so in this video at 3:56
      Never get to know your heros, I guess.

    You have to pay 40 Dollar for 3 minutes of talking with Data... this is really... sorry, but haven't the actors not already paid by the convention to come there?

    • @snurfbee58
      @snurfbee58 7 лет назад +9

      I have volunteered for many years at San Diego Comic Con and no, the actors are not paid to attend. Although, they may be paid by their studio, if the studio is sponsoring their appearance. Not to mention, this video looks a lot like an autograph show rather than a convention and if that is the case, the actors are definitely NOT paid to appear. They appear there to make money selling their autographs. I've met Brent, by the way. Lovely and very funny man.

    • @snurfbee58
      @snurfbee58 7 лет назад +2

      Oh, I should mention that Creation Con is a whole other deal. Those people are committing highway robbery with the prices they charge and I'm guessing that some of it goes to paying the actors.

    • @MysticHeather
      @MysticHeather 4 года назад +2

      Unfortunately as far as I understand it they don’t get paid to be there and the next generation crew didn’t end up making that much money from the show. I could be misremembering an interview I read but that’s what I recall so I’m more than willing to pay the money, ESPECIALLY if someone like Brent is nice enough and comfortable enough to have a 3-4 minute conversation with you, what a gem

      Then I would suggest that you never become a celebrity by yourself because I'm sure you would meet such fans sometime then, too. I mean people who would tell you to shut your mouth. ;-) I think it is very interesting to hear the opinions of celebrities as well, because every person has an opinion and celebrities have the advantage that they travel around a lot and that they experience more of the world than many others do, they even have more contact. Most of celebrities have very interesting ideas. But it needs that people are open-minded, on both sides. My favorite celebrities are very open-minded, I also speak about Brent Spiner here. I'm also a fan of another (very open-minded) actor and we disagreed in some things. He explained me his point of view and invested a lot of time for that, I also explained my point of view, and he showed me that he is a very intelligent person. We still disagree in the same points, but he got my respect, and it helped me to see also other important aspects of the discussion, which is something like a thought-provoking impulse. If everyone on this planet always had the same thought and the same wishes, it would be quite boring and humankind wouldn't be able to evole. At the end, everyone wants the best for our world. ;-)

      @ecroft1000 8 лет назад +1

      celebrities are not allowed opinions, unlike other celebrities he has a brain and can debate his own views on a subject, so i respect that most actors today don't have a mind of their own other people think for them

    • @byte2702
      @byte2702 8 лет назад +2

      I'm very glad that I'm friend with two world stars who can think and who are also quite intelligent. One is Brent Spiner and one is Nick Mancuso. People should listen to both. I don't say that they have the same opinion, but at least you can have a great and interesting discussion with them. That's far better than to talk someone who has no opinion, because then I can talk to a wall then, too. And if someone has talked to a stupid wall for hours already, will exactly know what I mean.

    • @byte2702
      @byte2702 8 лет назад +2

      Btw, I don't know what celebrities you know... But the celebrities who I know have different opinions. Couldn't be more different, too. I think that most of people don't take the time to try to stay in contact with celebrities for a longer time, to try to understand them as usual persons and to discuss with them like usual persons and to forget once that they are celebrities. Many people are full of prejudices if they meet celebrities, and then they wonder why they only meet the person they want to see (actors/actresses can act and can pretend to be the person you want to see), or why they have to learn suddenly -like in the case of Brent- that he is absolutely different from the person they experienced in their dreams. Because Brent is Brent and not Data. Every person has a character and the character can not be changed like the color of your wall. Must be a big shock for some people that celebrities are persons with own character and own opinion.
