I do things with video and networking aswell, if there's something missing from yours... hmm I'd say maybe DI boxes ( I guess you mentioned you wanna get those ) for the hum sounds or static noise sometimes. Maybe something to send in Pink noise through a system if it's not coming from the mixer itself.
