Whoops. It says 13 on the graphic instead of 12. No big deal though. Narration still says 12. Reuploading would hurt the video, so it's not necessary for something as small as that.
Staying strong!
It ain't a theme park crazy video without a reupload
The Devil's Wheel also operates here: ruclips.net/video/5eCpGTtvQ7c/видео.html
Another weird flat ride I saw was a quadruple Ferris wheel just imagine two double Ferris wheels being conjoined it was at the NC Mountain State Fair in 2019 it support but a cable snapped I dont think it ran again while the fair was there that I remember and it didn't show up again here is some footage ruclips.net/video/WOvCP6yYmwE/видео.html at 8:11 he turns to it and talks about it some also ruclips.net/video/vbduXNAjWUE/видео.html at 2:36 thats the only footage I could find whey where talking about it I will look for some more another time and update you
@@TopHatJack4970discord that can be found in RCT3
The Spin n' Spew ride has all the hallmarks of backyard engineering. A small, compact ride installed on a trailer with limited warning signage - and ball pit balls!
Don't tell me that beer was not involved with this.
It looks like a washing machine!
When it started to go backwards I literally went 😳
6:18 ..."Hell yeah, I'll buy one!!! Then charge all my neighbors and there kids, a nice fee! Lol remember south park
Lol! Definitely looks homemade!
"The Bell" was at my home park in northern Germany, and it was VERY popular. As part of a string of questionable choices the Hansapark decided to retire and scrap it a few years ago to make way for a more/differently themed area and because it "doesn't fit the park's concept" anymore.
The decision was met with strong criticism, but the park doesn't seem to care much about public opinion in recent years, having scrapped/retired/messed up a lot of beloved areas/rides.
True. Its not as it was Like 15-20 years ago. Wasted
I can remember that as well. It was amazing.
@@the_gamerx4449 @Marius Winterfeld
The park did a lot of changes for the worse, better don't look it up :|

Always a good day when Theme Park Crazy uploads a new video
*reuploads
bro never expected a Gemmy collector to walk by
I like seeing these unusual rides I have never seen before.
By the ways TPC, you should do another top 10/15 on more weird rides, and a video about UK rides again.
You’ve gotta admit, the creativity on display for some of these rides is certainly admirable!
I can see why the Apollo 14 won the poll. It goes to show how innovative Mr. Schwarzkopf is, and I'm sure that his legacy will live on for years to come.
Reminds me of the ride on the Centerfuge Project video.
It's beautiful!
It reminds me of the giant wheel
Weird flat rides are always some my favorite attractions to ride and learn about, let alone getting a shot in the spotlight on this channel. Keep it up!
Interesting upoad here. I actually went on the Apollo ride at Dreamland in Margate many times, the park was then owned by Bembom Brothers who were a Dutch Family. The park itself was only a few minutes away from my home. The first time I rode it with the Apollo Modules and then they painted it from green to orange attaching the Chair-O-Plane swing chairs as you have shown here. Thanks for sharing.
12:39 - this now makes me want to see a video on the oldest flat rides out there!!
I remember waiting to get on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a fair as a kid, and they had the history of the ride written on one of the panels where the line was (if I recall correctly.) I think my entire understanding of time was blown wide open as a kid when I read that their manufacture dated back to the 1920s! It really made me rethink history, haha. (And looking back, it was really nice that they had that information there on the ride for people to read, too.)
I've seen the Jump 2 before. It's called the Claw of Doom on Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.
yessss
A cool feature that the bell could’ve had was a ring feature. Every time it gets to one end, there are speakers inside the bell that would play a sound of one ringing which could give riders a scare.
I thought about that too!
The Apollo 14 ride is bizarre, I just wish they could continue this model, all these 15 strange rides are awesome. I wish they could continue these models, now that would be amazing
Some of these rides are quite unusual, some are really crazy and a few are downright surreal! I love that there's video footage of each one as a photo alone wouldn't do their weirdness justice! Nice work as always! 👍🏻👍🏻
Somehow the Apollo 14 ride was featured in the game Thrillville: Off the Rails.
I rode Apollo 14 when it was at Dreamland, in its original ‘ferris wheel’ form. It was definitely an unusual and iconic sight, off ride. From what I remember of it, though, the ride experience itself was an underwhelming non-event. I can understand why they later converted it into a ‘swing’ style ride.
I went on both versions of it at Dreamland. I loved that place as a kid.
I too went on at Dreamland in the mid 80s.. Like you, I found it massively underwhelming and therefore only rode it once.
Everyone that's ever worked at that state fair must be a professional bodybuilder now
New videos on this channel have an almost nostalgic feeling to them, always great content, and comforting in the wake of current chaos
I love seeing new videos from you. I find different rides so interesting. Especially all the details you're able to give. Your voice is also kinda relaxing to listen to.
Some of these rides blur the line between ingenuity and insanity. Great video as always. It always brightens my day to see you dropped another video
I gotta say, you know your stuff, dude. Your vids are a joy to watch. Thanks!
"What the hell is up with that bootleg sponge Bob bounce house?!" ......LMAO I WAS THINKING THE SAME DAMN THING AND WHEN YOU SAID IT I DIED LAUGHING AND JUST FROM THAT MOMENT TILL THE END OF THE VIDEO I ENDED UP GOING BACK TO THAT MOMENT LIKE ATLEAST 10 TIMES AND LAUGHED EVERYTIME!!!
😂💯😂💯😂
I absolutely love this series of strange, unusual rides! If not for your research and information on some of these, I'd probably never know many of these obscure rides ever existed!
This series is full of surprises! Every flat ride is different and I still can’t believe that some of these exist! Great Video Man 👍
Yeah! Finally an American coaster/rides youtuber who pronounces Huss the proper (in the sense of how it is pronounced in the language of the country it comes from) way!
Big thumbs up!
The Sledgehammer is my second favorite attraction at Canada's Wonderland. it is so much fun to ride and for someone who can't really do those kinds of ride because I tend to get motion sickness from rotating, The Sledgehammer never gave me motion sickness.
imagine how many bizarre flat rides are still undocumented and we'll never know about it!
ik got to ride "he bell" a few times. its perfect. not too intense but so much fun. and the view from the top of the swing or whatever you wanna call it is just amazing.
Been watching your videos to get hype about going to a new park!
Omg The King Kong ride from Bobbejaanland is in here, I’ve been There so many times, one of the best Belgian rides. Was scared shitless of it when I was a small child.
The man-powered swing is really reminiscent of the rides at King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA! There is a huge swing shaped like a Griffin that is pushed by two gents, a swing ride also powered by a pair of gents, and two rides powered by the riders. They are very cool!
Love these "check out these unique things" videos! Cheers!
When theme park crazy posts any videos, it’s literal serotonin ❤️ it’s always a time to relax and enjoy
Never ceases to amaze me how strange some of these are. Gotta love you discovering and sharing these strange weird but interesting rides!
Hey btw, the devil's wheel thing also exists at Sydney's Luna Park. Plenty of good memories trying to be strategic about how to win
Awesome video love looking back at the retro rides they are neat.
I've been on Sledgehammer. It really fun.
It prone to break down and I've seen it break down when it was up in the air with people on it and I was going to go on it soon.
I should be studying right now, but I’ll take 20 minutes to watch Theme Park Crazy instead.
The Spin and Spew out here in Vegas used to be brought to all kinds of events here, was always seeing it at the annual music festival that was around spring break
Thank you theme park crazy, I needed this distraction :( we love ya buddy
Always good to see these vids
I was on the apologise 14 when I was young and I have spoken about it many times but had never managed to find a picture of it anywhere as I couldn't remember it's name. Thank you so much for this, it's been easily 0ver 40 years since I was on that ride. Best wishes from Scotland
Clicked on this video because I remember the huge planets (in the thumbnail) from my youth. Surprised to find out it is indeed a rare beast, and even more surprised it had been running at Slagharen for years. Just wow! Thank you for digging this up!
Loved this. Thanks for featuring some of our footage in the production :)
Let’s go new video! Always a great day when he uploads!
Great video as always!
The bell was also installed in hansa park in germany. Sadly it got taken down around two years ago. I really enjoyed it when it was still there
It’s always amazing to know about these rides when it comes to theme parks, I still love the rides you talk about and that makes me want to ride them on my “imaginary” bucket list. Also, the channel always inspire me to create new rides as a vision. Thank you so much for the videos! ❤️ P.S there is a ride I used to see, it was like those spinning high-velocity gravity flat rides you seen, but this one actually rotates vertically, and eventually, go back to it horizontal position and slow down, it’s like they mixed the ride with an enterprise ride like the one at Alton Towers!
Edit Update: When the Harley Quinn ride video came out, I was very, VERY disappointed that my comment was not in that video, despite the fact it was hearted by Christian and liked by fans. Nevertheless, I hope this comment gets more attention and a shout out next time!
I remember the devils wheel in the old Funhouse in Blackpool, arrgh! I'm so old!! Lol 😂 🏴
The Devil's Wheel is perhaps the most literal interpretation of "flat ride"
The Apollo and Apollo-14 might be the weirdest ride but there might be a crazy ride out there that still hasn’t been discovered maybe I don’t know but great video theme park crazy.
I rode Apollo 14 as a little boy in Slagharen in the early 80's. I remember being very exited when I saw it, but being a little dissapointed afterwards. The other moon with the swing was much more fun. Amazing to see this childhood memory in this video, made my day!
As a Canadian, I have been on Sledge Hammer many times, and I can tell you from personal experience that yes, it is shut down basically every time I'm there, but when it is open, you actually feel like you're riding a sledge hammer when it is nailing something. It is a great ride, and although I would not be sad to see it go, it is still one of my favourite flat rides.
love sledgehammer!! its annoying how often it's down tho.
Wow. Didn't expect to see Loudoun Castle get a mention.
I remember that ride from when I was younger, I had no idea of it's history.
Amazing.
A similar flat ride of "The Bell" was in Germany's Hansapark in operation until 2019. I can't say anything about the ride experience though. Furthermore I just wanted to thank you and to say how much I enjoy your videos. 👍
I feel really lucky to have ridden an original Apollo 14 when it was at Dreamland Margate in the 1980’s. A really unusual ride!
I needed this video today! Thank yoy. And yaaay Slagharen! My parents and brother went on the Apollo 14 before i was born. They loved it
I'd love to see a compilation of great rollercoasters that don't go upside down! Much as I would love to, I can't do inversions. This video is great!
It's crazy how some of the smallest rides can pack a huge punch. The Macumba looks insane in terms of ejector airtime. Same with Maverick at Cedar Point. That is so small, but psychopathically intense. I think little rides are my type, and I think I would love Macumba.
Sledgehammer is honestly one of my favourite rides at Wonderland it’s so popular however it does end up having a lot of down time because a lot of Wonderlands old rides are prototypes like sledgehammer
The Bell Was a very fun ride. Loved to ride it. It was one of the best rides at Hansa Park.
The devils wheel was also a popular mainstay in American amusement parks in the 20th century, and was usually in funhouses. Famous examples include SteepleChase’s human pool table and Arnolds Park’s sugar bowl which are no longer in operation. Most fun houses usually called the human roulette wheel or something similar. It was around the mid 1980s, They were really put out of service due to rising insurance costs, -and in a similar vein they also had the rotating wooden barrel. But no worries! Examples of these things can still be found today at Luna Park’s Coney Island in australia. As well as many European walkthroughs.
omg the comment shout out about thrillville: off the rails warmed my heart because i grew up with that game as well :’)
Spin 'n Spew! Dude I died laughing! If it were me on that ride though, there would definitely be some spewing.
@Theme Park Crazy, I was looking at Fun Fair Worldwide’s channel and I found a lot of more strange rides you have never seen before.
I’ve ridden the Idaho fair ride! Was able to get myself all the way over!
I love your videos and always watch them and you actually have one from my home town in the UK, Southend! Lol. The time machine is horrible and I normally love rides lol even my son hates it xx
I’ve been on the Saturno. They have it in Mexico for an annual gathering in December called posadas. You sit inside it and there are bars above, below, and to the side. You hook your feet under the bottom bar on the floor and hold on to the bar on top as it spins in ALL directions. It’s divides into about 3 sections and sits 3 per section. I’ve got old video of it on a vhs somewhere.
The manual swing ride at 8:10 reminds me of The Cages, from the 1970s and 80's. We had one at Gulf Shores, Alabama at its small amusement park. Anyone remember it?
Luna Park Sydney in Australia still has an operating Devil's Wheel, though admittedly without the added challenge of things being thrown at you- It was a childhood favourite of mine and it still is a classic!
I've been on the tornado! It's one of my favorite rides ever
Cool video, really enjoyed it
i went on time machine in adventure island like 7 times, and it breaks down a lot but it is very fun
The bell was also built in german amusementpark Hansapark in 2008 but has since been removed in 2019 to give room for a new area called "Awildas Welt". I had the chance to ride it once, it was really good fun!
Imagine going to some random air show only to end up with one of the rarest flatride credits of all time
You should do a video about old-fashioned rides that only have a few examples left. Some that I know of are derby racer rides, Venetian swings, rotors, and switchback railway coasters, and Bayern Curves are getting pretty rare.
I saw a working model of the Huss King Kong ride @ a IAAPA Expo. Very impressive! There ARE some CrAzY ones out there to be sure. Fun video!
Great collection of midway oddities. Have you seen the ride, Turbo, by Chance manufacturing. It made the rounds in county fairs and I've heard only three are still in existence. Worth checking out and adding to a future list!
The swing reminded me of the Farm And Wilderness Camp Fair which, if memory serves, had a crank operated ferris wheel, a luge ride that was also hand operated, and one year we had a hand operated roller coaster that the farm donkey assisted with.
Number 3 used to be in the Lagoon (Farmington UT) fun house in the late 70s to early 80s. It was literally called King of the Hill. Yeah I am that old. It did lead to injuries, including a few broken bones, even with side padding. As laws became stricter, it was removed. I loved that in my childhood.
I really want more of these videos 💘
As a person who previously rode “The Tornado” in Vienna, i can assure you it’s not nearly as terrifying as it seems to be from the outside. It is pretty unpredictable (and high), but other than that, you get a very pretty view of the Prater. So if you get the chance to get there, check it out! ☺️
Yesss!! The Bell was great. I rode it two times a few years ago, it was a really nice experience! It was placed in the German themepark "HANSA-PARK". :D
Adventure island time machine is sooo intense. It's insane. It's at my home park and I make sure to ride it first to set me up for the day.
There was a Devil's Wheel in the Funhouse at my local fair when growing up in the North West UK. To think the fun I had being spun into a thinly padded wooden wall, over and over again 😅
I've ridden Time Machine. It's so intense, you are literally stuck in your seat and can barely move when it's going round
I’ve been on Time Machine at Adventure Island since I was a teenager, so I’ve technically grew up on it.
I absolutely love it, for some reason I find it actually peaceful. I can close my eyes and just relax
Me too 😭 that’s why I don’t find it weird
There's a medieval fair that comes through Gainesville Florida every year. I'm not sure if the fair still offers it, but when I went as a kid there was a flat ride that was a pirate ship that sat approximately 20/25 ppl. It went almost completely vertical with just a lap bar for restraints but the truly amazing part was because it was a medieval fair means no electricity. A bear of a man pushed that crazy thing by hand!!!! He deserves a raise no matter how much he already makes!
There was a Devils Wheel in the Fun House in Blackpool Pleasure Beach...I missed out but it looks SO fun
I love the concept of “The Bell” and I hope we get to see it brought back somewhere
I love your vids!
13:30 "the Bell" was actually installed in Vienna's Prater also for a few years, I think it was early 2010s - I remember that ride, it has been then replaced by a cobra-themed flat ride and now I think there is a small rollercoaster there.
Wow, this is the earliest I’ve ever watched one of your videos!
Canobie Coaster came in so clutch with all this footage 💯 👌🏼
when i went on time machine (3:49) for the first time, i felt light headed for a few minutes but was fine after, i regularly go to adventure island and its really fun
I rode the Apollo as a swing ride many times when it was at Loudon Castle here in the UK. That explains the giant moon design. I'd no idea this was its original form.
Love that you mentioned Dashcon lol
#3 this ride has been around for over 50 yrs. i rode this at whalom park back in the 70's had a blast
There's a very similar experience at Sydney's Lunar Park to the Devils Wheel, just a lot more tame. Its the exact same thing, just without ropes or other items thrown at you and it's aimed more towards children. It's part of a small area full of fun little experiences like that called Coney Island.
Been on sledgehammer a few times. Ride goes down for maintenence all the time. If it's up and running though, make sure to get in line asap before it breaks down!
In goodland ks there is a simler ride like the sit and spew, called the barrels I believe, it spins like the sit and spew but also runs on a round track. It's used during the county fair.
