Blimey, I'm 51 and about to have my first kyukoshin lesson in two days...I've held off starting for a few years as I was worried about my age and injuries, but seeing that 78 year old get his 1st dan just goes to show dun it...If I ever start to doubt myself, I'll just think of him...
Very inspirational. I'm taking my Kyokushin Shodan test this Saturday. I dont know how it's going to go. The 10 rounds of Kumite will be tough but I'm going to try my best. This video has me fired up. Osu!

I believe it is because we challenge our limits that it holds value. Anyone can buy and wear a black belt. But what we seek is not just a mere black belt in appearance.
Thank you for taking the time to watch! I've created English subtitles to reach as many international karate practitioners as possible. I hope to convey the spirit of Japanese karate tournaments even just a little.
@@kyokushinmonmadojo I got you! That's awesome that you can share it. There are very few so-kyokushin videos around the RUclips and internet. Thank you so much! Os from Tatarstan so-kyokushin.

it's really a test of mental aptitude when you reach kumite already exhausted by previous exercices, and the hardest fights are the last ones
