Do only black belts have the calligraphy/kanji on the front of their dogis? And what does it mean?

Unfair testing for the girl. You should have arranged for a female partner.
And why the hell does the test take 4 hours? 30 minutes are more than enough to get an idea about the skill of a student.

Getting a black belt should never be easy. There are a lot of factors to take in for them to get promoted. Things like Endurance, physical ability, and execution of techniques.
These are necessary for when the time comes that they will teach it or pass it to the next students.
Above all, they must become the prime example of what a Karateka should be. And that is to push on despite the rigors of hard challenges along the way.
Although I don't usually agree with pitting women against men, I think it's okay in this scenario. This will be a good training ground for a woman who is in an art dominated by men. Besides, Kyokushin tournaments are usually open weight. She could fight against opponents bigger than her.

@@caldeandrade69 sorry, complete BS. He is basically asking them to take steroids. There is no street fight that would take 4 hours. And even the army physical test doesn't take that long. This is completely delusional.
Also for the poor girl, how delusional do you think you are for really assuming this is about weight?? A man is always stronger than a woman, especially if he is as trained as her. Why do you think there is a woman category in every sport? Didn't you see how Lia Thomas basically slaughtered real women in swimming, just because she is a biological male? Pfff

@@caldeandrade69 sorry man, not even the army physical test lasts that long. That's just BS.
And women have their own category in every sport for a reason: no matter how much you weight, you will always be weaker than a man doing the same training! And that's why Lia Thomas is now forbidden from competing against women in the olympics!
