    This Video is music to my ears! I didn't have the words to articulate what I have been doing for the last eight years but this is it! I have been researching and not only by reading but also taking the footsteps through the forests for the culturally modified trees in the area where I live and then made a art installation that included audio art, video art, photography, augmented reality photography, paintings, and more . It was a true shared experience between the viewer and my research in my imagination from my research based on my research. Thank you again for your articulate help in Me knowing more about what I'm doing my heart knows what I'm doing but my brain and my words don't seem to be able to explain it only my art does! Now I'm going to work on the sharing part as you described for the viewer. I have given talks for this installation show of the culturally modified trees and they were very well received at the top University level.

    I thought this was an extremely helpful video. Thank you. I have moved towards research based art practice without realising what I was doing and this video has clarified and helped me.

    I realized while viewing your video that my artwork is "researched based"- now I have an additional way to talk about it and describe it for residencies and such! ...and I already have educational activities for it. Words matter- thank you!

    I really enjoyed this video, and you explain the topic so well. Can you give some examples of artists that use this method please?

    This has been very helpful. I have to produce a series of painting for a Demi-Centennial exhibition for the 50th independence anniversary of The Bahamas.
    This video has given me several research themes to follow up on

    My work is often research based by default as I am often reacting to events. However, when I TRY to make a piece about a situation or event it ends up illustrative. Not what I want to do. This week I’ll try to take current events and abstract them.

    Amazing video ! It was very clear to me, I like the way you articulated it. Thank you, I have a visual art degree and I clearly learned this way of working. And at some point it felt also overwhelming to me. I am an avid learner and the amount of things to know made me feel like to give up and just focus on what makes me happy and interested. And I have a question, is there any other way to create fine art ? Maybe "art brut" ? I have so many other questions about this subject because I am actually working on making clear the intentions in my work kind of. Thank you for this video :)

    Thank you for the wonderful explanation,, what makes a research-based art piece is more expensive than the others?

    I consider myself a research-based artist. What other resources would you point to (books, podcasts, videos) to learn more about it?

    hey love the video, i have a question though. Please help. I don't create art that is 'research based'. Does that mean my art is worse than a piece of art that is research based? I dont think so but after a few comments i received i am doubting myself. should i stop making art that has little to no research? surely not right? a lot of my art is about me and how i feel and my thoughts and stories that i've come up with. would you recommend changing how i approach making that kind of art in the hopes that it hits harder or is more important or that it will make me a better artist? Im confused
    also really want to clarify that i am not picking a fight or anything but i am genuinely asking

    Tao de Ching . There is art in even the most mundane things, that is the way of the tao, just s one may be artistic in his creations ,, he to can be so in his ability to bend truth through the artistic manipulation of language ( sophistry, semantics, machavellianism, etc

      what I really mean is that our elected officials were pretty damn artistic and how they lied to us about 911 slavery virtue signalling and all this transgender stuff.... Oh and let's not forget the two weeks to stop the spread and that soup in a wet market. I mean I was born at night but not last night, the that is a real creative storyline for a Hollywood thriller

    So it's all about being an activist and social worker...we can use art to re-engineer society in a liberal image...or perhaps trigger a revolution to bring about a utopia?

  • @anaglyphx
    @anaglyphx 23 дня назад

    It's a giant scam is what it is. NOBODY can tell you what it actually is...because it is nothing.
