Man. Tears just started going now. Chet seem to be such a warm and good man. No wonder his playing is so classy. Talk about being a super human being! Respect!
I didn't know Lenny Breau, nor had I imagined Chet to get so emotional about a prodigy. I shed a tear for the lost genius and the humanity of Chet, their close relationship and the melancholy brought over by the fact that they didn't get to create more music together and they're long gone taking all their talents and skills with them. Rest their creative souls.
Chet Atkins - the main with the green thumb for helping others to grow, and a golden heart and platinum mind. Gosh, I miss them both but especially Chet.
My good friend Lenny Breau was the most humble and kindhearted person...and one monster guitarist! Truly prolific! Thanks for the years Lenny...I celebrate you every times I play my guitar! Chet was also a huge inspiration to me and my guitar playing! #MikeJohnsonJazz
I met him in 1957 in Bangor. He was a super person, even at that age, and so giving of his talent. He would try to teach you anything, but I couldn't learn it.
Some people's fire burns so intensely that it incinerates them. We've always lost talented people like Lenny Breau. It's sad but it is part of life. Time eventually takes us all, as it did Chet Atkins. We should be thankful for the gifts they left us.
Incredible. He was a genius on the Mozart type level. A savant who knew nothing else. How often would Leona Boyd or Chet Atkins ever be in a room and be the second best guitar player?
I was so thankful and privileged to have a personal relationship with Lenny Breau for many years! I actually had the opportunity to record with him and have many conversation with him about life! He was the best guitar player I ever heard on this earth!!! #MikeJohnsonJazz
He's the only cat we know who figured out a lot of what Lenny was doing, but impossible for most of us.... it's a skill level off the charts with both of them.
I never thought I'd say this about any guitarist, but we just may have lost the best guitarist of all time in a swimming pool in 1984. He could play anything, and he tried to play everything.
Imagine just how far Lenny Breau could of gone if he had of lived a full life span.I first heard of him Twenty years ago and I was just floored by his amazing talent.I don’t believe there was a musical genre he could not of mastered.
Early 70s. Sunday dinners at my grandparents. Aunt and uncle there too, with their friend Lenny Breau. He made Cabin Fever in my aunt and uncle's cabin around that time.
A wonderful documentary about a tortured genius. I cried along with Chet at his reaction to seeing Lenny's daughter. Check out Tommy Emmanuel's video concerning his meetings with Breau.
So young,so good.Lennywas gifted to do what he did so well:play the guitar. We are all gifted;only few bring it up to fruitition(Lenny did)All tragics disregarded.
Oh man, to see Chet so sad is almost too much to bear. Good on Lenny’s daughter for putting this documentary together.
Man. Tears just started going now. Chet seem to be such a warm and good man. No wonder his playing is so classy. Talk about being a super human being! Respect!
Had me in tears, miss you Lenny.

Chet was such a decent, kind man.
1:54 - very touching with Chet and Lenny's daughter.
I understand why Chet lost it. She smiles, speaks and facial gestures exactly like Lenny.

i agree , chet and lenny , two of the greatest guitarists of all time .
I met him in 1957 in Bangor. He was a super person, even at that age, and so giving of his talent.
He would try to teach you anything, but I couldn't learn it.
I live in Bangor. That's awesome. What was he doing there may i ask?

So glad that you've made this segment of the documentary, available to us all.
this broke my heart...
Trying to hold it together when Chet Atkins weeps. Impossible. Happy Celestial Birthday, Lenny. 'Wish you were still with us.
He is.

good point but if Jerry Reed was in the room, he wouldn't be the best in the room any longer. ;)
@@pb12661 Jerry's name always brings a smile to my face. And Lenny's brings a tear.

finest for me too
7:41 "She use to have a lot of medicine" lol Ted Greene is awesome.

Would love to have seen all of this documentary. Thanks for posting.
I can absolutely draw a line between he and Danny Gatton. Two miracles of talent that may have been their worst enemy. Dan idolized Lenny.

Good for you Chet; One of life's gentlemen - in the TRUE meaning of the word.
Saw Lenny live years ago and was in AWE he walked out that night in the middle of a song. lol
Donn La Rossa Do you know why he walked out? Was the crowd unresponsive?
So glad to see that tiny segment of Ted Greene, made me smile.
LinkBulletBill Ted Greene was also amazing, your right.
@@markusantonio4866 well Ted's musical knowledge has never been paralleled
Utterly genius guitar player!!! His son Chet is amazing as well!!!
every seen the video of him and Tal Farlow? That's another genius who could hold his own up against anyone.
Chet cries= I cry
Got upset watching this, both Lenny and Chet my heroes.
Chet is saying that Lenny was on the spectrum and for Lenney it was better to burn out than it was to rust.
jesus that was powerful...I didn't know...and I'm an old guitar player
Oh yes thanks so much. It was very moving on many levels.

God bless Chet ‘Lenny 🎼🙏
all the kids think steve vai invented the 7 string because he had Ibanez do a signature series 7 string. and out of that came the band korn.
Thank you! A michalangelo on guitar

I wish they are playing the guitar together in heaven now.
Chet meant, “Play it straight once around, Lenny. Then let loose.”
a god
Please can anyone post the link for the whole documentary ?
hey there, is the version of Visions in this clip the same from bourbon street?
Is that Danny Gatton playing next to him in the studio?
7:32 Scotty Page know him well.
"she used to have a lot of medicine" before Lenny arrived..lol
Song name at 8:10? Anyone?
🙏
Whatcsong is that with chet and liona?
I hate drugs. So many in my world have been ruined by that shit. So many great people. Lenny, bill Evan’s and thousands more. I hate drugs!!
