Delhi is proper noun so we don't need article but Yamuna / Ganga are aslo proper nouns then why do we use "the" with them ???

sir i studied that the is used before all nouns provided we let that word make specific.
That's really true, but to some extent only, there are a number of situations where we use no article with nouns. We shall discuss those concepts in upcoming videos.

Sir... Why do we say " the equator divides the earth into two halves" ? We know that there is only one definite equator.. for ex : we don't say .. the teacher punished "the" Mohan .
