Great review as always my friend! I'm getting so close to swapping to ELRS for my micro builds, instead of the crossfire I'm using, and I blame you (LOL).
@@KremerFPV oh for sure it does! So much in such a small package, especially with the ceramic antenna. I just hope it will run on my T8SG V2 plus, without needing to revert the pin mod I did for crossfire to work.
ELRS is truly something refreshing for our hobby. Even the RXs with onboard smd antennas are outperforming all old gen 2.4GHz systems(d8 d16 and so on). I still have my main quads equipped with crossfire as it's familiar and known system with OTA updates. But Five33 tinytrainer build and all other under 3" quads has been converted to ELRS. I'm still waiting for my HappyModel lite pro TX with 1W output, but I have no idea if I ever even need that much TX power. I still use my Happymodel "lite" TX for T-Lite that I modifies to fit Tango2.
Don’t forget rssi is on Channel 11. Great informative video! I also have grown to love gps coordinates for finding crashed quads. It happens so often to me. Elrs has a great discord channel with great people.
Great overview of elrs. Such a tiny receiver. First flight was impressive range. The second one surprised me being so much shorter distance. Rescue mode worked great. Happy flying. 🤓
Thanks John! On the second one I didn't have a direct line of sight with the drone and therefore the distance was shorter :-) Take care and happy flying!
Can you tell me which fpv googles will match with this unit and how can you use it ONLY straight on a camera?. I'm not flying a quad but would love to put in an an airplane or simply an RC truck of buggy. Thanks in advance.
That baby nano flywoo comes in elrs. Is it the ceramic antenna type? 🤔 I want to get one...i have the crossfire one now. But less weight the better..especially on 1s..
Hi, I just got the flywoo explorer v2 elrs analog version. Is this the same way to bind it with wifi? Aldo how can I find what kind of elrs receiver I have.
Hi, sorry for the late response. You can check out the firmware before flashing it over WIFI by heading over to 10.0.0.1 on your browser after connecting to the WIFI hotspot of the RX.
Hello, I think your video is super good. I have a HappyModel EP1 ExpressLRS 2.4GHz receiver and would like to set the VTX table in Bethaflight, but it cannot find it. what should I do?
I’m not doing long range and the option of using phrases won me over so I’m using now elrs and what’s left of my crsf rx and they third of the price and no antenna to mount win win win
Can someone help me I have the same quad but when I connect it’s terrible connection and when I put it in arm my osd is telling me bad rx anyone now a fix for this? Edit- on beta flight the throttle and other controls are going crazy & I have another quad running ELRS and it’s perfect just can’t seem to get this one working
Thats crazy. That micro Board looks like incomplete :D ordered Flywoo firefly 1s and radiomaster Zorro... Cant wait for it my first quad... ( I know i will have only 250mW vtx but still ELRS is fascinating :D)
having the chip antenna where it is really hurt your range. you're tilted forward when flying away from yourself and fully shading the antenna, if you had it on an angle off the back of the quad you could probably double your range. So that it's vertical and has a clear view back to you when you're flying.
Yes, that's correct. For this reason I was able to get much further in the test where I mounted the RX on my Mavic air 2. I agree with Sergy - the T antenna is a better option for larger quads and the ceramic antenna is a good for smaller ones.
8:30 2.5k away? That's some nice range from something so small, cheap and open source! Loved the concept!
Yes, I didn't expect it to get this far (on 25mW).
Awesome flying and testing, Gal!!! 😃
This system is fantastic!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great review as always my friend! I'm getting so close to swapping to ELRS for my micro builds, instead of the crossfire I'm using, and I blame you (LOL).
Thanks Jeff! CRSF still rocks, but for smaller builds ELRS seems like the proper way to go :-)

What will be the range in 10mw and 100mw

True (and LQ as far as I can remember is on Channel 12 - I need to double check it). Thanks Ronnie!
@@KremerFPV I actually think it’s the opposite. C11 is LQ and 12 RSSI
@@juancgallardo Yep, as I mentioned I wasn't sure about it :-)
How is it different from the HappyModel EP2 rx?
The board is not identical as far as I can tell, but it's very similar. I haven't tested the Happymodel RX yet.

Wherever you are it looks like a very nice part of the world :)
Thanks Joe. It's the northern part of Israel.
It's a really beautiful place indeed!
I might have missed it but, what power was this tested? I can see it was on 500hz right?
25mW, 500hz.
Was the second failsafe (~750m) caused by blocked line of sight?
You got it :-)

Nice video. Even tho i know you really wanted to Power loop the roof. Nice flight brother
Thank you! Maybe next time ;-)
Wow, this is it dude. This is the way.
Mind if I ask what was the power output on the elrs module?
Sure - 25mW
Certainly elrs ceramic antennas will be included in every flight controller in the near future
I am sure that it will get more popular too.
For this kind of test it would have been handy if you had enabled RSSIdbm in the OSD
Yes, thank you.
I want to put ELRS in my Emax Hawk Pro 5 in ,witch one should I get for that size Drone? Gal
Sorry for the late reply. Since weight is not going to be an issue - go for an ELRS RX with a full size antenna.
That baby nano flywoo comes in elrs. Is it the ceramic antenna type? 🤔 I want to get one...i have the crossfire one now. But less weight the better..especially on 1s..
Yes it comes with a ceramic antenna.
Cool as always! What VTX has a built-in DVR? Speedybee stack rocks… Is that an iFlight Mach R5? Thx Gal!
I would like to know that too
Thanks!
I used this VTX: ruclips.net/video/8SP2r7nP3e8/видео.html

Below 10 as far as I can tell.

Thanks! The VTX table is set for the VTX and not for the RX. Which VTX are you using?
can the flywoo elrs use for the happymodel elrs ?
Yes
Apakah perlu kabel antena lagi?
Nice little reciever gal how does it perform through obstacles.as these are ideal for the kids micros.stay safe bro
Really good as far as I can tell :-)
It will be good for the kids, I hope you will be able to get a set soon to test it out.
Take care mate.

what the power you've set the transmitter??
25mW.
next test can include elrs rssi dbm value in osd on all the range test
I like Gal Kremers videos..but like most of the elrs reviewers, he didn't used rssi DBM and lq.
Will do.
LQ tells a more informative story than rssi....as long as you understand it of course..🤔🤨😳🇬🇧

In this condition in this kind of drone better to use rx version with T antenna , range will be better sûre
