@@fantasyteamshorts6112 you dont understand. The Food business especially delicacy foods is a very fragile business. On Diwali the sweet shop owners are ready for the challenge and they project the amount of crowd they'll pull and then prepare according. But in this online order business there's no surity. One day there will be 200 orders second day it'll be 20. So the sweet shop owners won't take this risk of stacking up alot of sweets.. because they're gonna go bad afrer 24 hrs and its all about freshness in the sweet business. The idea of sweets in D2C won't work. That is the reason why to date people go and buy sweets in the shop rather than buying it completely online. Especially Indian sweets. And considering they are from Pune, the likes of competing with Chitale won't be that easy. Plus, this kind of sweets is not consumed on a large level in Pune. They have not studied the market properly. Even the Marwari community is acclimatized with Maharashtrian sweets and food. The only way they can scale is to go into retail, establish the brand and then go in FMCG and Cloud Kitchen and deliver these foods. Being an e-commerce platform and white labelling for sweets doesn't make sense.
They can use limited order quantities for each supplier (halwai), like 100 orders or 200 orders per day, when they reach that mark, they will show next available day which will also be fresh and 24hrs delivery, like if you want something from other state and that also fresh customers can wait, they should have gone with this way…
