How very weird watching old Eurovision after watching 2024 - performers were so static back then - nowadays it's an epic performance 😅I've been watching Eurovision since 1974 when I was 10 - I find it so interesting to look back to see the difference in staging, costumes and content over the decades - I love it still in its ever changing incarnations 😊 sorry but the Netherlands entry here is a mere shadow of Ding a Dong from the Netherlands in 1975 if you want upbeat 😊 that's almost my favourite song of all Eurovisions 😂
1987 is one of favourite years! Glorious entries from Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway - I really like Germany too - and that is Rob from Milli Vanilli in the background! :-)
I love your lists! Here is my top 5 : 5 : Netherlands (just pure fun, as were most songs that year) 4 : Italy (lovely, calm song) 3 : Israel (hilarious) 2 : Sweden ( BIG guilty pleasure) 1 : Yugoslavia (my 2nd of all time!)
1987 had a great production, but the songs were pretty dull. Also, it didn't help the sound was flatter than a crepe in the hall. Some entries were pretty good.
Totally agree on Patricia Kraus. Her voice is so cutting that nothing else gets through to me and I just want to turn the volume down. Thanks for 5th place. I think it's one of our best entries and I think Halla Margrét is a fantastic singer. Ps the best thing about the Finish entry is the mullet hairdo lol. I'm a mullet lover of all my life and soul.
Germany, Israel and Portugal and nothing else. It was rather boring year, sorry. And Iceland was disastrous 😀 But thanks for the list!!! It's interesting to see and of course people have different taste for music. 👍👍👍
I don't know if you consciously lived in the 80s but Rikky's song is all inside out a product full - on of this decade. France's song is indeed dated, and so it sounded that night, but the UK song was right on spot in its era. I admire your winner choice. It's my all Eurovision history winner.
I really don't know why I used "dated" for the UK song. This video is three years old, so maybe I meant it differently but I honestly can't remember 😅 You're absolutely right, it feels very 80s indeed! And "Gente di Mare" is absolutely one of the best Eurovision songs 🥰
The song from Denmark was not about peace that song was from Germany in 1982 (great song) the Danish song was also a nice song , but it was more to do with the planet and looking after it.
