@@GolfSimulatorVideos may I live in Dallas and found out Indoor Golf manufactures here. Very impressive operation! However I was not impressed with their GTrak display. No disrespect to GTrak the attachment system looked great. The screen itself was not up to what I am looking for.
Super cool!
That was waaaaay impressive! I like that they have the right return net to catch shanks at about 2 feet and the left return net hardly at all for right handers. Very well thought out and ingenious solution for most American garages. I attempted to do something like the Gtrack but the hardware attachment solution is beyond my ability. The only thing that bothered me was the floppiness of the screen when the ball strikes it. That's how my present screen is. I prefer the screen to be a little tighter and I'm still working on that.
But what an ingenious design. I think golfers around the world are rejoicing. heh heh heh
The net is the same on both sides. The screen can be more tight depending on how you have it secured but I think the movement is key to no bounce back, I really didn’t mind it for a temp setup. Really good design though I agree. Thanks for watching!
neat operation
Thanks for watching! 🍻
That looks like a decent solution for the garage golfer, Jay. However, I have some cautionary advice (from personal experience) to those thinking a retractible system is the 'perfect' solution. Think long and hard, and be realistic, about how often you will use the sim. If you'll be using it more than 2-3 times a week, you'll soon get sick of setting up, packing up, setting up, packing up, etc. even with this relatively simple system. Soon enough, it will remain permanently set up and the car will live outside. In that scenario, a fixed, more robust unit may be a better, cheaper option. My expensive (unnecessarily so, in hind-sight), top-of-the-line retractible system hasn't be retracted once in the past 12 months, because I use it several times a week.
Yeah it’s not for everyone but it really is quite simple to setup. It’s all about the people that have no other options. Thanks for watching!
Was thinking the same thing. Over time, no one wants to take the simple few minutes it takes to move away the hitting mat. Too much friction to use IMO.
Love your videos! I am looking at a retractable screen for my garage. I saw your short on G Trak. In their video and yours I really didn’t like the image. Too many wrinkles and movement. Can you comment on if that is a bad take or not? Quality of screen and image is important to me.
Anytime you have a hanging screen and or portable etc I think you are going to have this to a certain degree. Don’t get me wrong. I think I could have used the anchors at the bottom and tightened things up quite a bit more, I just didn’t really need the side netting so I didn’t do it. I know several people that have purchased and installed since the video and they all seem pretty happy. I think the important thing to consider when going retractable is how easy it is to install then go up and down. Considering this is a simple attachment to a garage door rail I think it’s pretty solid overall.
Does this work on a power garage door that has a track system in middle?
Thanks for the great videos of the golf simulators! I have a question. Which launch monitors have the mobile app for the swing cameras (capture and reply right after shots)? Foresightsports says it is currently unavailable for use in FSX Pro. I can't use the PC so the Swing Catalyst can't be an option :(
So you have a Foresight launch monitor? Many do have a camera connection using phones like Mevo+, Trackman, and MLM2Pro but Foresight currently does not have one.
Are you able to open the garage door with this installed? It looks like the track is blocked with the attachment? Thanks Jay!
Yes! That’s the Design. Works great nothing touches etc. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I’ve been looking for this. Unfortunately my 2 car garage is a single door for both sides and I use a net return on one side. Discount is awesome, any suggestions to make this work?
I have a similar set up bought a couple garage door rollers built them into a wood mount that I then attached a 2x4 vertically. In which I attached the screen to with stop blocks on the rails. I use a simple hook n magnet to flatten it up to the garage door when I need to put it up so It sits flat with the door and then goes up in down with the already existing garage door motor
They custom made this one for me since my doors are tall and narrow. Shoot me an email and I’ll connect you with them to discuss. a98cr125@gmail.com
What about opening the garage door while it’s across rails
Opens just fine! They are on the outside and no interference. I tried it already :)
What is the height? My garage rails are about 12’ tall. Is it customizable?
Various sizes and they can built them custom. This was not a standard size.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos who can I talk to get a custom size? Indoor Golf Shop told me they were only made for 8’ doors but can work with 7’. I have a 8’door but it is a high lift so the rails are higher.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos they are not doing custom or tall sizes for the public right now
@@dduncan86 oh man. Bummer, did not know that :(
