Kinda wish the animation for Reckless Apprentice played on all targets at once, like Flurry. That’d save so much time!

I really do not understand why Blizzard capped Shadowform's damage at 2 and then immediately introduced Wildfire.
Well wildfire is a great allthough a slow card, this type of mage deck is fun and great but slow for the current meta, i hope i'll be able to have some fun with mordresh aswell heh😁
They capped shadowform? Are you sure they said that? What does playing a second copy do now then?
Because as a class they want Priest's burn to be very limited
Cause is not the identity of priest doing costant damage. I don't really like the new shadowform. the second copy is straight away useless, the only purpose is for refreshing or testing counterspell i suppose...oh and also have a dead draw

Think of how much more satisfying Reckless Apprentice would be if it fired like a shotgun or a semi automatic rifle instead of a flintlock pistol...also just makes more sense flavor-wise in my opinion.
same with that 8 cost dragon that blasts two enemies for 4 damage. Cant lie I’m disappointed ☹️
@@noahgilbertson7530 Do you mean Twin Tyrant? The fire and frost animation make sense for each head have fire and frost breath. IDK how making it faster would be better

Straight up evolved that hero from a 2 mana Fireblast to a 2 mana +1 Fireball. Love it

Lmao, but yeah I think it would be cool if they changed the animation of the Mage hero power to where if you upgrade it to 6 damage, it has a Fireball animation. Then if you upgrade it to at least 10 damage, it would have a Pyroblast animation.
Even changing the name to "fireblast rank x" According to the damage would be cool
If only the name of the hero power changed as you upgraded it. Would love to have a hero power called 'pyroblast'
It'd be sick of they change the name or the rank or the art, when you reach 5 and 10 damage, just like they do with ranked soells
This is definitely one of the most fun decks ever to be created in Hearthstone. Keep playing this deck! It's so fun!!!

Whenever a new set comes out I spend half of the video pausing it when a card is drawn or played so I can read the new card.

Doesn’t it feel a bit backwards to have the animation of the huge game ended be instant when the workhorse 4 drop you’re hoping to see multiples of takes 5 minutes?
At first it seems odd. But consider that a slow game ending animation quickly becomes unsatisfying as people rush to concede to avoid it.
Just repeating the hero power animation for every. Single. Target also gets annoying very quickly. But people will sit through that because they can still win afterwards. Still should be made faster though.

People had low hopes for the hero power mage synergy but I had faith and after watching this, it looks like so much fun (maybe less so to play against lol)

If Scry or Brainstorm effects were in HS it would be sweet. The weapon that does Scry 1 at upkeep is decent but slow, and Plot twist is not quite the same.

@@MartijnTV It's tough to compare because you don't have a whole lot of permanent upgrade type spells in the game (the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are the old quests and maybe Luna's Pocket Galaxy and Embiggen/Survival of the Fittest, and none of those have comparable auras.)
I think it may be ok if you compare it to the only example I can find: Sorceror's Apprentice/Radiant Elemental vs Incanter's Flow/Palm Reading. Both apprentice and radiant reduce the cost of spells in your hand as an aura effect. Now neither Incanter's Flow or Palm Reading do this exactly, but their effects are comparable. Incanter's Flow reduces the cost of spells in your deck, which is arguably more powerful but much slower, and Palm Reading is the same effect as the aura of Radiant and Apprentice but with a discover effect, and costing one more mana. The cost of discovering a specific type of card seems to be around 1 mana ish (it varies - the Studies price it at effectively 0 mana, kinda, but cards like Dragon's Hoard cost 1, and something like Snack Run costs 2 with a minor bonus.)
If you take those cards as a comparison it looks more balanced, and cheating the system to get more copies of it might be a decent slow mage win condition: it sucks vs aggro (see Kibler not trying to go for a huge hero power in the game vs murloc Shaman), but it could be a great late game value deck (see kibler just getting to his payoff vs a super greedy rogue deck). It's difficult to compare but overall it seems not too busted. It's kind of like a slower Exodia mage - it's like having an Antonidas and 2 Apprentices out and only casting a fireball each turn, but you have to play 10 mana's worth of do nothing over the game to slowly buff your hero power (and that's if you get lucky).
TL/DR eh it looks ok.

The spell comes at the cost of being behind on board, which is very painful against more aggressive opponents.

Too early to call for sure but I'm already willing to bet that either Wildfire or Reckless Apprentice (or both) will be nerfed in the first balance patch for this expansion. Obviously every game isn't going to play out like this but it's hard to see how getting a hero power that crazy so early into the game at fairly little cost won't be overpowered, especially when paired with the efficient freeze tools available to help get it running.
But trump said that those cards are 1 star :O

If Wildfire stacks infinite I wonder, if Blizzard made this for shadowform too, otherwise it's illogical why mage can stack his heropower, but priest doesn't. But this might be the case, because we know how consistent HS really is. :D
