Sounds like a good plan accept for the L.A part. The only reason to go to L.A or California, in general, is Disneyland. Very overrated part of the U.S and really just a trash place.
I think it was just an improvised jam, they played it after finishing up the set and Mango had left the stage. After this they wrapped it up and just had drinks at the bar.
