Really lovely record of the day - it was such a wonderful trip being with some many lovely people including You and Poppy! Looking forward to the next one - thank you for sharing!
Hi Nicola, what a joy to watch your video, I had a smile throughout while I was watching. You are so positive and enthusiastic. What a great idea this active holiday break. Make sure you have good time. I love it that people are swimming doing other water sports there. What fun!
@@NicolaRuns it really does! Picks up the atmosphere and how beautiful the place was . So lovely to see Poppy having amazing life experience and making memories
Wow! Thank you for filming, editing and sharing this, Nic! It looks like such a lovely run and really friendly locals! Copenhagen is on our bucket list but I think you might have just moved it up a few places… Such a lot of parkrun joy… and the best run brief ever! Looking forwards to seeing your Swedish adventure next 😊
It was my absolute pleasure 😃 thanks for your lovely comment! I'd definitely recommend Copenhagen, I'm in love with it now, it's such an awesome place! If you're going to go though I'd definitely recommend this run next year. It's such a special feel with all of the parkrun tourists 😃 I'm uploading my Swedish video tonight so I'll put it out tomorrow afternoon 🤗
@@NicolaRuns thanks! It's very much what I had in mind. It's really useful to see how you experienced it (especially with the additional consideration of having Poppy with you) as you rightly talked about the travel pressure and "arrival time anxiety". Great job.
@@tonyreeves5083 Thanks Tony, yeah I was so worried which is silly as the rational part of my brain knew it would be fine... Doesn't stop you stressing though! 🤦🏻♀️🤣 I think it's because it's the whole reason for your trip! Can't let these things stop us though. Life is short and there are adventures to be had! 😃 I'm already looking forward to next year 😁
Great Vlog, Nicola. It looks like a fun course. I listened a few podcasts and it’s the first time I watched your video. I learned a little bit of your experience, really admire you. Keep the great work😊
Cheers Luke 😃 Poppy was delighted to celebrate her 150th... I just wish I'd remembered to get it announced in the run brief but I totally forgot about it! 🤦🏻♀️ Yes Harriet was there voluntouring 😃
Great video Nicola! Captured the fun of parkrun and felt like I was there with you. 👍🏻 😍 Had already booked for next year, now I just can’t wait! 🏃🏼♀️🧳
I love the bit when you guys, Barnaby and Liz all wave! It's so cute 😍 I think because you all look so cheeky 🤣 it was just the best day wasn't it?! 😃😃😃
Great video Nicola, it brought back some amazing memories. It's one of the best parkruns and even had people swimming underneath me, which is a first for a parkrun! Wish I'd known about the kayaks, would have loved that.
Thanks Danny 🤗 Same! I love the swimmers, was perfect weather for an open water swim! Great to see you at the airport as my first parkrunner of the trip 😃 the kayaking was very expensive if that helps 😜🤣 it was awesome though 😃
What a wonderful time! The furthest I’ve been for parkrun is Perth (the Scottish one), but I’m going to Amsterdam in August and I’m planning to parkrun there. This holiday was originally supposed to happen in April 2020…
Wasn't Hans just the absolute best?! I usually don't leave a lot of the run brief in but I just had to leave a bit extra of his in so you got a feel for how awesome it was! 😃😃😃
What a great trip Nicola! This reminds me of my only ever overseas parkrun in Poland when I travelled over for a half marathon race and fitted in the parkrun on Saturday. There were about 8 locals and over 40 parkrun tourists 🏆
We loved our parkrun in Poland. Run brief completely in Polish and a small but perfectly formed event! Isn't parkrun tourism the best?! International parkruns are like levelling up but tourism in the UK is also awesome 😃
What a wonderful video Nicola. Brilliant to see you and Poppy having so much fun from getting to the airport, on the plane (brilliant choice of sweets) landing in Denmark and the fantastic park run. And I had no idea park runs were international. So I’ve learnt something today. Thank you for sharing your trip, really enjoyed watching. Until the next video, take care.
Travelling using parkruns is honestly incredible! Tapping into like-minded communities all over the world is the best. We've done parkruns in Australia, NZ, Singapore, Germany, Poland, Denmark and Sweden! 😃 Knowing there are friendly and welcoming communities all over the world is priceless 🥰 so pleased you enjoyed the video, thanks for the kind words 🤗
Wonderful start to your parkrun weekend Nicola- love the excitement and parkrun community. I volunteered at Orpington parkrun this morning in gorgeous sunshine ☀️ it does make a difference! Keep them coming and we’ll done to Poppy x👏👍
Great video, Nicola! I loved my trip to Copenhagen before the pandemic although I chose to do Amager Falled parkrun which was lovely too. Managed to see Amager Strandpark the next day and really enjoyed wandering around 💚💚💚 your video is just how I remember it to be 😊
@@NicolaRuns many thanks. I am looking forward to it. It will be my second one on international soil. I did Zuiderpark back in February to get the ‘Z’ in the alphabet challenge 😂. Amazing channel by the way. All the best. 👍🏻
@Nicola Runs, I did it today. What a lovely event in the sunshine! Mostly all English but a great event. Your video was very helpful to suss out the routing, so thank you!!
Hi Nic Nic, thanks for sharing this great video. It brought back so many memories of my Copenhagen parkrun - I did Damhusengen, which was a little quieter than Strandpark, but several simularites. What a beautiful city and how lucky were we with the weather. As you aluded to in the WMN podcast, the run brielf was fantastic. Can't wait to see the Malmo vlog.
What an awesome video! I lived in Denmark for 7 years and never did a parkrun there, but plan to make amends soon. Your video reminded me just how fabulous Denmark is, with wonderful people and gorgeous scenery. I really do miss the country and can't wait to return. Amager Strandpark is my planned run in late July. If you ever return, I recommend visiting Tivoli Gardens!
As someone who isn't usually mad on city breaks I was blown away by Copenhagen! Can't wait for next year, I'm definitely putting it in my diary 😃 although Copenhagen was super expensive! 😱 I better start saving now 😂
You survived Manchester airport and your flight departed, I consider this a huge success. Copenhagen is ace, such trendy folk! Look forward to the Malmo upload:)
I've now fallen in love with Copenhagen. I'm definitely thinking of going and doing this again next year 😃 lol yes I was a bit worried after the horror stories about Manchester airport 😱
I think Vegan Runners are huge now as there's usually a few of the vests whenever I'm at an event 😃 I'm yet to meet a Vegan Runner that's not cheerful and friendly 🥰
Great video Nicola. I’m so jealous. I wish I’d gone. Was there any restrictions to enter Denmark? Tests etc? Or nothing needed at all. I’m tempted to go over the summer.
Good video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Made me smile all over again to watch this: thank you.
Awww wasn't it just awesome! Thanks for helping make it what it was 🤗 I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video 🥰
