What sold me in the first movie was that strategy for each kind of fight. For big fights with lots of nameless goons, he would use judo throws to throw/trip his opponents to the ground and would then immediately shoot them. He wouldn’t waste time, wouldn’t waste the advantage. For boss fights that are one-on-one or few opponents, he would primarily use BJJ and wrestling since he didn’t need to worry about multiple attackers.

The underling's honorable attitude toward John is a rather fitting contrast to Zero. The brothers clearly admire John and want to face him at his best, they knew he was already tired and beaten down by the time they met him, so they gave him opportunities to recover so that it could be as fair as possible. John acknowledged that respect and paid it back in kind. That's the difference between a common killer and a professional assassin. It was both awesome and wholesome (well as wholesome as possible for an assassin death match).

@@jthreefingers8445 i don't think so.. the fact that they could had easily killed John Wick, Twice! but decided to give him some break and even lend a hand on him during his most vulnerable time, and the fact that John Wick interact and hanged out with assassins and contract killers in the past shows that when they meet, they might have a sparring contest instead of a death fight.. they are not like the others who really pissed John Wick and if John Wick bowed to them, to his book, they are o.k.
@@communistpunk8044 Those 2 were not going to let John live, you know that, right? They were just so assured that no matter how good he was, they were better. He might do something like the knife in the chest thing. Or if they retire, he MIGHT let them live. But, it's John Wick. He doesn't forget.
@@jthreefingers8445 John Wick is known to return a favor. these two Shinobi " Silat Karambit" warriors are the closest to killing John Wick, but not only did they spare him twice, they gave a helping hand and told him " Its an Honor to fight you." if John Wick bowed to them, instead of saying he would return to kill them, it means he is acknowledging their honor as proud Silat fighters, and he sees them as respectful warriors worthy of a warriors's death and at their best, both physically and psychologically, as what they did to John Wick when they encourage him to fight at his best.. when he said " i will be seeing you guys later", it means this won't be their first and last encounter, next time they meet by fate, there won't be a second chance.. like the first two film, John Wick does not forgive nor forget, and he is shown to give his enemy a chance to walk away in a fight if possible, unless it was personal to him.. in the first film, John Wick even let a bodyguard of Victor's son, live, after he revealed the men guarding victor's son.. he also said " take a day off, i'll be seeing you later." in the end, he let the bodyguard, played by actor steve nash, live and enjoy his life with his family.
The two bad guys at the end are true martial arts masters. They study the arts, study the game, and have a degree of respect and honor. They absolutely are masters if they can go toe to toe with John Wick himself and not be killed immediately like he does other henchmen. That must be one hell of an achievement and experience to fight John wick and live to remember it.
Even Keanu Wick's opponents are his fan. When they praise him he replies to his enemies-" No you are Awesome ".😁👍💯. On serious note Keanu Reaves is awesome. 👍💯
My favourite part of the whole respect and honor aspect to this is when John gets up a second time he presents his back to them while making space; he knows these guys won't attack him until he's good and damn ready.
John wick is crazy awesome at fighting. Poor Zero really thought he had a chance, considering john came from a gun shootout with a bunch of guys wearing mini "juggernaut" suits goes against some of the best Shinobi fighters and still beats Zero. Man I bet he felt little lol
Dude, you can see that, after he rolling, his knees cant keep it up.. its method to know your legs-body conditions without just laying around or standing around
*but he is still John Wick* Just like the first film described him as a feared monster, this one had him as a wounded predator. A wounded wolf is still a wolf. Retired, hurt, and exhausted John Wick is still dangerous
Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rehman are the famous Indonesian martial artists, what a great way to showcase their talent and a respected space the maker's have given to them. Hats off!
I loved how the whole continental battle felt like a final level in the video game. You have the hardest enemy type in mass (bulletproof soldiers) followed by the boss’s bodyguards followed by the mini boss (two students) and then Zero, the final boss
I think they did about as good a job as you can expect, but there are definitely limitations to having Keanu take on both Ruhian and Raman at the same time. They're clearly much faster, so their hesitation is more obvious, but the choreographers did a good job leaning into the size and strength advantage Reeves had
When he said "Be seeing you", they know that John Wick can kill them but granted them mercy. That is why one of them looked at the other after he said that and then just laid there as a sign of surrender. At least they can brag that they almost bested John Wick...almost.

John Wick didn't show them mercy. He showed them the same respect, but by saying, IM GOING TO KILL YOU, LATER. So, they know, while they rush to heal, that someday, Mr Wick us going to come for them. And that's terrifying.
Wym he never said that. Hopefully “Be seeing you” doesn’t mean that😳
@@victormelnik9819 Why do you think when John Wick, (He's cool and bad ass enough that I type out his full name.) Says. Not if I see you first. Or be seeing you. He will not stop if you disrespected him in anyway that he will kill you. Nothing can stop that. Those 2 are dead. All they can do is hope he gets killed before he comes for them. And he'll probably wait till there all better before he drops by. Because he's cool like that.
@@jthreefingers8445 John Wick is known to return a favor. these two Shinobi " Silat Karambit" warriors are the closest to killing John Wick, but not only did they spare him twice, they gave a helping hand and told him " Its an Honor to fight you."
if John Wick bowed to them, instead of saying he would return to kill them, it means he is acknowledging their honor as proud Silat fighters, and he sees them as respectful warriors worthy of a warriors's death and at their best, both physically and psychologically, as what they did to John Wick when they encourage him to fight at his best..
when he said " i will be seeing you guys later", it means this won't be their first and last encounter, next time they meet by fate, there won't be a second chance..
like the first two film, John Wick does not forgive nor forget, and he is shown to give his enemy a chance to walk away in a fight if possible, unless it was personal to him..
in the first film, John Wick even let a bodyguard of Victor's son, live, after he revealed the men guarding victor's son.. he also said " take a day off, i'll be seeing you later."
in the end, he let the bodyguard, played by actor steve nash, live and enjoy his life with his family.
"Be seeing you soon"
Them: *oh dat means nap time*
A well choreographed...believable fight scene.👍👍
John Wick- the latest glass breaking tool.
Yayan Ruhian used 3% of his power.
My favourite part of the whole respect and honor aspect to this is when John gets up a second time he presents his back to them while making space; he knows these guys won't attack him until he's good and damn ready.
With that a lot of beating from those two shinobis, in real life there's no way you could have survived that long.
John wick is crazy awesome at fighting. Poor Zero really thought he had a chance, considering john came from a gun shootout with a bunch of guys wearing mini "juggernaut" suits goes against some of the best Shinobi fighters and still beats Zero. Man I bet he felt little lol
The perfect blend of messy and polished fighting.
5:38 hes just rolling for fun there while his buddy's getting smashed
I noticed that too lol I was like uhh wtf 😂 he's just like "aww yeah super cool killer assassin roll"
Dude, you can see that, after he rolling, his knees cant keep it up.. its method to know your legs-body conditions without just laying around or standing around
Yeah hahaha, actually that roll is just for entertainment in tournaments
gotta fill in the scenes 🤣 way better than the catwoman fight tho
Taking “I got my ass whooped with a belt” to a new level
They really need Yaya and homies in turtle costumes with legit cool home made versions of ninja weaponry
*but he is still John Wick*
Just like the first film described him as a feared monster, this one had him as a wounded predator. A wounded wolf is still a wolf. Retired, hurt, and exhausted John Wick is still dangerous
"But he is still.... JOHN WICK"
Caption for JOHN WICK fade slowly........
John activated the dark souls second stage of the boss fight.
Mad dog from the raid
When John Wick Puts His Belt Out Those Monks were like: Mr Wick Thats almost Cheating
4:50 haha
They both had a chance to kill him but they didn't. At the last John could have killed them both but he shown mercy.
After all john has been through and having been retired for 5 years i cant even imagine what a machine he was in his prime
Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rehman are the famous Indonesian martial artists, what a great way to showcase their talent and a respected space the maker's have given to them. Hats off!
I like how they still respect him and fought with honor
I loved how the whole continental battle felt like a final level in the video game. You have the hardest enemy type in mass (bulletproof soldiers) followed by the boss’s bodyguards followed by the mini boss (two students) and then Zero, the final boss
I think they did about as good a job as you can expect, but there are definitely limitations to having Keanu take on both Ruhian and Raman at the same time. They're clearly much faster, so their hesitation is more obvious, but the choreographers did a good job leaning into the size and strength advantage Reeves had
I want to see the two brothers in the next John Wick. I feel like the respect they showed and the fact that John Spared them is reason enough
5:38 this guy just rolling across the screen
Its like an asian dad trying to behave his two sons with his belt
One is an actor playing as a martial artist, the other are genuine martial artist acting
When he said "Be seeing you", they know that John Wick can kill them but granted them mercy. That is why one of them looked at the other after he said that and then just laid there as a sign of surrender. At least they can brag that they almost bested John Wick...almost.
I’ve seen these 2 in the Indonesian movie “Raid 2”, they sick as hell. Here, they’re not even trying. Otherwise, only one will suffice to smoke out John Wick.
Don’t get me wrong, big fan of Mr WICK too 😅
Bro got smashed by glasses 6 times in the row and he still alive!
6:30 mommy after stealing cookies from the jar..
"Senang Bertemu Anda, Mr Wick"
"Bangga Bertarung Dengan Anda, Mr Wick"
"Lambat Dia Sekarang"
"Harusnya Dia Sudah Pensiun 5 Tahun Lalu"
"Tapi Tetap Saja...John Wick"
"Kita Lihat Saja"
John must be legendary among this crime business if we think he is only one guy who can retire from this business
Different stage different level just like a video game, walking up the steps 😂😂
all that glass and still no cuts in the suit, i need to know this taylor
The way John is always kicking someone in the nuts is hilarious 😆
6:30 he is literally angry for calling him slow 😂😂😂😂
So cool to see Mad Dog and the other villain from raid redemption 2 here!
This fight scene is better than the whole new matrix movie
John wick has the best action sequences!
Pays to show Wick respect. He allows alot of people to live when you cross paths again. Better to have him on your side then against you.
I like that respect for wick
Cecep Arif Rahman and Yayan Ruhian it's obvious that the two of them weren't serious or even fighting hard against john wick, because both of them respected john......but wanted to know john's true strength, and more than half of the two of them haven't been favored by the author because they're both martial artists in real life after all
John Wick: **Shows up**
Enemies: Mr. Wick, BIG FAN! BIG FAN!
John Wick could take on the entire Foot Clan solo.
The amount of respect and honor
They showed respect and he let them walk with their lives. Ones probably paralyzed but he's alive 😂
When u forgot to unfreeze the chicken and ur mom gets home: 4:55
It would have been nostalgic if someone said while fighting "COME ON STOP TRYING TO HIT ME AND HIT ME"
morpheussss 😂
Lmfao, I like how you can see the guy on the floor roll over so he also falls into the next scene, 7:02
yup i think they made a wronf decision there. imo the director should've made mad dog roll away but get caught up in it too that would've been more realistic
I can't unsee that now
I would've loved to see a john wick prequel In the 2000's. So we could have technically seen "Prime" John Wick. In that movie, who would be much more of a monster then what we're used too
Honor to fight with you Mr Keanu (what literally everyone was thinking)
