Lyrics:
I ain't sorry for the way I feel,
I know you think I'm being insincere,
From the way I'm treating you,
I never wanted to be so unkind,
The only one thing on my mind,
Is just kicking it with you girl!
Baby it's not the way I feel, you know you must believe me,
Baby it's not part of the deal, Oh, No, No!
Baby when the lights go out, Every single word cannot express,
The love and tenderness, I'll show you what it's all about,
Babe I swear you will succumb to me, So baby come to me,
When the lights go out!

Just got dropped off..we shoulda had this on in the car.
Why don’t we just admit that 90’s/early 2000’s pop was the best. If only music was still this catchy.
This world is cruel
this world is wicked
this world is deceitful

I wish i was still living in the 90s. I'm 35 and still love this so much💜
Same here! Music was so great then!
I’m also 35 and I have had this song stuck in my head for days and I finally decided to watch the video and now I’ll never sleep again because of homeboy’s Joe Exotic eyebrow piercing. I’m also a body piercer, so I am truly traumatized. 😂
I'm about to be 35 and the songs back in the 90s were next level awesome 👌

35 years old in 2024 and love listening to this song ❤ This brings me back to my childhood!
This video is, without a doubt, the best example of late 90s streetwear I've ever seen. I'm tired of kids today thinking of what adults wore to trip balls in nightclubs was 90s fashion. Like, ...no. We dressed like coffeehouse vampires. *All the time*. People were afraid to talk to us and that's how we liked it!
😂 lol so true!
😂coffeehouse vampires?! I love it!!!🤣🤣🤣

Hahaha we bringing back tactical overalls all 2023!!
I agree with that they tried to make it like the 90s like it's underated it's not what these kids learning now is what they have growing up
I love all of us 30 something year old women on here getting our childhoods on 😂
why just women? :D I have an older sister, so I also grew up listening to boy bands and even as a 30 year old, I find their music awesome :D

Five is one of most underrated boy bands ever.
Aqui no Brasil nós ajudamos o Five a alcançar muito sucesso. Mas na Europa e USA era difícil por ter Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC, Westlife e Spice Girls no páreo.
Its terrifying how fast time flies by.. 😭😭
Good luck zombies…i hope your dogs look after you because nobody else will
yes, lately I have been thinking about it more and more, maybe cause 40's are around the corner
My kids called this "old people music" so its now on repeat whenever we get in the car 😊
That's awesome
Lol! Organized torture :P
lol
They'll learn to love it
That, right there, deserves a few spankings. How dare they! 😤
What a blissful period in time the 90's and early 2000's were ❤
If you were a kid LOL If you were an adult, those decades, especially the latter, were awful.
@@APatriotRevivalthey were talking about the music, dvnce. Not the period as a whole. Grow up.
@@urhypeboy Says (I assume) a Gen Z? I'd go on to say a large majority of the music was pretty awful too, music started quickly dying in the late '80s, just after it had peaked from the '60s to then. Stuff got too poppy and record companies started controlling what got put out, and no one realized how bad it would get. Everything sounds like the same poppy, generic cheap karaoke song. Even most country is just twangy pop now.
Swag!
I was born in 90. I'm sure a lot of you were. I am a complete metal head now I have been for 25 years. But I still love this damn band.
I’m surprised Five never got as big as bsb and *NSYNC.. theses guys were so underrated and never really got the credit they deserved
Whaaaat? In the UK were massive in their time.
Would have been better if I was in it, 6ix😎
I feel like all of them are good looking too *NSYNC only had JT and JC as the eye candy
@@damianosavraammisaelidis9727 i think they mean worldwide?
@@MadbutBad07 I guess it depends on the "industry acceptance", promotion, and marketing/market just to name a few. At the end of the day some don't see success in terms of the US and such. Every one of a few songs they can "escape" the "domestic boundaries" like for example Kylie Minogue or even Take That but overall I don't think that success is meant to be a US thing after all.
The 90's rocked ... im 36 now but when one of my boyband jams come on im 14 again

40 year old guy here. I'm not nor have I ever been into boy bands. But, guys my age at the time were forced to listen to them over and over, just for the chance to sit with and hang out with a girl for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon. It's funny now, how when I hear any Backstreet Boys, or NSYNC song, how it takes me back to those moments when you're first feeling those feels towards a girl. Wanting to hold her hand and just get a kiss. But, your nerves are just going completely haywire. I can still smell her perfume, the taste of her cotton candy lip gloss. Haha, I have to LOL. Man, to be that innocent again. I guess, what I'm trying to get at is that this was the only song I actually liked from any boy band. The beat and chorus slap. And it always seemed to set the mood. First time I've heard this in 25 years. To the youth who read this, time flies. Relax. Be your age and enjoy the moment because in the very near future it will be just a distant memory.
I was 6 when this song was released…. I’m 31 now and this song is such a banger. Definitely puts me in a good mood 😊
I'm crying I want to go back to my childhood. I'm about to be 32, I want be 12 again, lol miss not being an adult and not paying bills 😭😭

They are adorable. The harmony, the dances, the rap! I missed 90's and early 2000's already. Now the quality in singing and song lyrics has been decreasingly devestating. I also missed my former room with posters of artist all over it! Oh my gosh - the memories start rushing in, is there anything else that I missed...? 😢 the world has been changing 180° by now
Only good music is metal now. And a few ol school like country, Midland and Cody Jinks, few others.

Every time the electricity goes off, I have to sing this song and drive everybody crazy. Hey, at least I entertain until the lights come back on. And if my older sister is around, we do a two-part harmony and rupture every eardrum around. Lol.
Haha.....I too sing when the electricity goes off..
I am not the only one who did this! I also sing that song about the lights going out in Georgia.
This is exactly why I came to listen to this song. I'm here in Nigeria and everytime the electricity goes off I sing this song in my head
I actually sang what you wrote, lol! Too funny!

+TooHigh ClAw
Felipe Azúa yeah but the older people of the 90s said the same about the bands they grew up with in the 80s and 70s. It's because you grew up with it and music now has changed so of course you love it and maybe even like the music from before better. Feels like each generation will always be manly stuck on the music from their childhood. When you are a kid you have all of the time in the world to find what songs are in and cool. When you get older you ain't got time for that. So you stick with what you know

Rememeber introducing this song to the kids in my class in 5th grade back in 1998. I sang "baby when the lights go out" and shut off the classroom lights and everyone started busting up laughing. For the next 4 hours everyone kept running over and doing the same thing. Teacher got so pissed off to the point she broke down and got the principal and I got my first detention for starting it. I was a 12 year old male when I first saw this video in 1998 and I remember liking it but at the time I didn't know I was gay and me liking it back then had more to do with me being attracted to them. I think these guys deserved more attention than what they got. They probably would have had more hits in the States, too if we didn’t already have these other boy bands on the radio at the time.
I think they turned down the song "Bye Bye Bye" so it was then offered it to Nysnc. I bet they regretted that one or maybe not.
Of course not , bye bye was more suitable for nsync, but for me, 5ive got more hits than nsync , its not about youtube views , its about the music quality.
Hey now, I know the one "boy" and his parents in N'Sync LOL

I was 100% Britney Spears, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys. Born 1984- was 14 almost 15-Went to some spring break youth group skiing trip in Vermont, (from NC and was not active in said youth group) a boy from Scotland literally ran me over on his skiis. We spent the entire 10 days together. It was very dramatic and romantic, for 15 year-olds. :) he ended up giving me a Jenny K ring before he left, proposing. Lol. We kept in touch for an entire year, then went to see him for my 16th birthday. But before he left Vermont, he literally wrote out the lyrics to every song on the 5ive, 5ive album for me. And then a love letter. To date, and I am now just turned 37, the most romantic thing that has ever fucking happened to me. I literally forgot about this song, this group, until I heard it on one of my children’s pads earlier during their hour-pad time. I was like O.o?!?! That’s meeeee! MmmmmMmm…the memories are delicious. :p
Edit: my favorite is the dark spikey-haired boy. With the pretty voice. Mhm. Completely forgot about this group. I’m so happy I found them again.
What a sweet memory! My favorite member in Five is the dark spikey-haired boy, too. His name is Scott.
@@ladylinh yes thank you. It was totally benign, but at 15c so dramatically romantic. Clandestine meetings in the game room, trudging through the snow for the youth group dance, etc. haha. Then meeting a year later at his oil Baron family’scastle in Scotland. (Which was effing nuts, I thought I grew up privileged being the daughter of a surgeon.). getting my belly button pierced because it was legal there at 16. So. Yes. It was actually really really sweet, looking back. I’m grateful I had that experience, 100% absolutely.
And…I still Google the Disney concert 5ive did, every once in a while. it’s literally barely 240hp. But when he (spiky hair boy)sings, “until the time is through”. So good.

36 and dying!! I’ve listen to this a few times over the last few days. I LOVED this song! Takes me way back.
One of the only other Boy Bands of that time I still love. Minus the original Boy Bands. Backstreet Boys and 5ive were mine and I still love BSB and still jam to 5ive. When I met 5ive it was awesome. Such nice guys. Yes I loved the accents. J and Rich were my faves. Still have my pictures and autographs.
