I remember being half way through the first series of the Boys before realizing who he was (Outrageous Fortune…brilliant NZ show).

Senior and older dogs need more of a screening process for homing. Visiting your local shelter or rescue is best. The last thing these dogs need is to shelter rotation.

I've adopted two abandoned cats and one dog over the years that people "left behind".
Fully trained and well behaved, these animals will be your best friend.
There is always this comment not realising this segment is about bringing awareness to the entire shelter. Older dogs need more of a screening process that this show cannot provide. This segment however will bring the audience to its website and the adoption process in general.

I vaguely remember that episode. He said something like "thats not a dog get it out of here"
I think they cheated a little; four of the pictures look like the same dog twice or to say it better, two dogs look like their pictures were used twice. Although siblings from the same litter can look exactly alike.

All the Boys actors are very talented and it’s good to see them help out doggos. Well done all around
Its great that celebrities do rescue events like this, but most of those dogs are the ones that get rescued very quickly at shelters. Cute young dogs get adopted with ease, its the older dogs and dogs with a particular physical issue that typically don't find homes. Im glad they showed one older dog, but wish events and plugs on shows did more to get the elderly or injured re-homed.
Do you think this segment is this Venue for dogs that need a higher screening process? They know what they are doing and are bringing awareness to the shelter.

I think it's very smart to focus on senior dogs. Someday I hope to adopt a senior dog.
They did a giant disservice to this awesome cast by not having them on every talk show circuit for the new season. They all deserve as much love as they can get. They are all awesome. Whoever does the pr for the boys needs to see Homelander

Thank you, thank you Stephen! I have served on the board of a local rescue. And the older bigger and /or special needs dogs are the ones that are most often overlooked. And having had several of these dogs I can tell you they are wonderful pets. Seem to realize you have saved and love you so much. However no matter they give back so much more than you ever do. People miss so much by overlooking these dogs. Again thanks for remembering the.harder to adopt. You just changed the entire of a life
Puppies are the first to be adopted. It's the middle aged and old dogs that are overlooked. And it's tragic. I wish more dogs were given happy and healthy lives full of love.

probably almost 20 years ago at this point, my family adopted my childhood dog from north shore and she was quite possibly the greatest dog to ever exist!!! and yes senior dogs!!!! puppies fly off the shelves, senior dogs need love too everyone!!!

Why? Holland's Spidey movies are better. While Garfield is great elsewhere, he was probably chosen because he's been on the show more recently.

Puppies don't need help getting adopted. Older dogs do, and they feel the pain and depression of being in a pound far more deeply.
Puppies tend to get adopted, sure. However, my own rescue dog was a puppy scheduled to be euthanized the next day. He's now 10 years old and has a great life. Best thing that ever happened to me and the only thing keeping me going. While yes, I would like to see more overlooked dogs get the spotlight, puppies sometimes do also need a bit of help.
