The remastered collection needs to include one through four including gears of War judgment. They need to use the unreal engine 5 as well to do it right.
Maybe another reason why it's taking so long is because they are remastering the games similar to gears ue and gears 2 and 3 cut content such as levels will have to be added in a certain way so that they don't impact the games in a bad way
We need a collection with gears 1-judgement remastered with dedicated servers and give the option to toggle between old and new graphics and new achievements. I would throw my money at them and would be all I play for a long time
Gears of War 2 Remastered. That’s all. No need for a collection. Gow2 with a fresh coat of paint and solid servers would be the greatest shooter ever. Best Campaign, Best MP Maps, Best Horde in the series.
Can't forget Gears 3. For me, Gears 3 Multiplayer was the best. The competitive side to it is what makes it better than Gears 2 Multiplayer. I loved playing MLG for Gears 3
Even if they made a 1-3 remaster, the original devs are not there. UE is a perfect example of them not understanding the color scheme and vibe. Theres also a 0% chance the game will feel like the old games. Sound design, gore, weapon feel, being able to backpack people, laggy server making you lead your shots. All the beauty from those games are lost to time
Personally, I dislike the original trilogy fans, because they and the "Gears is dead" videos are the main reason why I didn't try any Gears games before, thinking Gears 5 was trash, when it was just a really good game, liked by players and critics, that happens to NOT top the original trilogy or have the darker tone those games had, but I'm still really hyped about this. I'll finally see and understand the reason why they praise these games so much. Yes, I find Gears fans annoying, so I'll ignore what ever they have to say about Gears 6 when ever that comes out, but that doesn't mean I dislike the games. I was thinking about buying the trilogy on the Xbox store, and then emulate Gears Of War 2 and 3, because they never got official PC ports, but now that this got announced... it's probably better to just wait. I would only have to emulate Judgment. I truly dislike the idea of playing shooters with a controller tho. You get rid of an entire and very important "feeling" these titles have.
I still have my gears 1 cd and i pirated it on pc. Im good. They wont get money out of me for their crap. Remasters are what you would get for free in a mod 10 years ago. Booo
