I purchased that exact model Kodiak, and couldn't be happier with it. Looking at getting the tracks for it next. That thing is a beast. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much, Joe! It sure was appreciated ripping around on this machine after all the years of dragging gear around. So nice getting away from the crowds these days as well 😊
Favorite ice machine is my 2 stroke 277 tundra2 with scratchers. Starts nice in -30. Runs like a clock. light enough i can pick it up myself and stay ontop of 3ft of fluffy snow. Small 32" ski stance for narrow portage trails. Cheap on gas and bare bones simple if i need to fix anything i can do it even though in not the most mechanically enclined.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 wow that is like the most coolest and the most wickedness + the most awesomeness ride I had ever seen, like really. Do you know how to have fun or what. Also I have to say that vehicle right there is so much better than a snowmobile. I wish it snowed a whole bunch in my area so this way I could just have one of those.
Another great video! I've thought about putting tracks on my Honda rincon but the last few years we haven't seen much snow here in the north east coast of Nebraska!
I too am concerned about slush. We get a lot of it on our lake, which also happens to be in the Ottawa area. Does anyone have experience with these tracks in slush?
Haha, thanks! Loved it! Had a couple slush experiences but I was able to get it out pretty easily (just by using a small shovel I bring with me). With this machine being lighter, I was able to get back on top of the snow pretty quickly. Slush is something you have to be careful with when it comes to any machine.
@@SheLovesToFishno doubt! Cool stuff!! Thanks for the reply! Hey if I can lol have you ever left it over night on the lake in cold weather??? Like -5°F with a 15 mph wind? Just curious if that unit is a good starter and if the battery is tucked away pretty good? I'm actually not a fan of polaris sportsman for how many times I've been left stranded during the day... Let alone over night.. because the battery is completely exposed and a pain to get to lol.. it has to have another pop up to keep it in if it's windy... And that's with new battery so it's not like a bad battery ya know... Just wondering... I'm def in the market for a more reliable upgrade that's forsure!
@@tipsicyoutdoors5096 I had the same machine,no tracks.Mine started no problem at -18F after sitting for a week.Just had to try it,normally don't ice fish when that cold.Battery on that machine is easy peasy to access. What I didn't like about the 450 was the lack of storage and fuel fill location.I now have a Grizzly 700 and I like it a lot better overall.I have a Snowdog coming to use when conditions get where wheels won't cut it(kinda rare by me).I'd run tracks on the Grizz if someone paid me to do it,otherwise they are more wear and tear on machine and really cut into fuel economy.
Great video. Did you compare the speed difference from tires to the narrow tracks? I know you lose some but im hoping to lose less speed with the narrower setup
Thank you very much! Also love the kayak fishing videos the most! Great Channel all around! I also I'm in ontario so it's nice to see some good locations to travel too! Thanks for the viewing!

That is great to hear!! Enjoy it, and thanks for watching! 😊
Very nice Kodiac set up. Great job Ashley. Very informative.
Gotta love having more fishing opportunities and getting to new-to-you or remote places. Nice job.

Such a nice set up!
Thank ya, Sir!!

Nice setup! 2 year old video how are you liking the machine setup on tracks? Glad to see another canadian ice fishing I'm from manitoba

Thank you! I would say lucky you (regarding the snow), but I didn't mind it so much this year having this machine 😊
That is one heck of a beast thanks for sharing your adventures 👍👍
Thanks for checking out the video! 😊
Sick setup!!!
Thank you! 😊
Nice video. Who's the cute puppy in the video. U can never go wrong with yamaha
Agreed! Thanks for watching. The puppy is my dog, Blitz 😊
sweet ride!
Thank you! 😊
Sick rig 🤘interesting that your region got lots of snow I live in the upper Ottawa Valley and it was a very light year lol thanks for sharing!
Lucky you, although... for the first time ever I didn't mind the snow! 😊
beautiful
💫🎣 well done. Looks like a really nice set up 👍
Thank you so much! 😊
Great video again thanks
Thank you for watching! 😊
I am thinking you could have made it over that log with those tracks. :)
It is not ideal to have a log between the tracks! Better to be safe than stuck, especially since I was out solo quite a ways back in the bush.
WooHoo! Let's goooooo 🤪💚
How is this in deep snow with maybe some slush? That’s my worst case scenario, slush. I’ve got the 700 and am lokkkng to put tracks on it

2:09 you brought a floor! 😲🤔😁👍💚🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha, yes! The rubber mats are so so great!
Whats the stopseed with the tracks?
How are the r4s tracks in deeper snow?
Dudddeeeee.... THATLL WORK right???? Haha cool deal!! Good work on clearing trail too!!! That'll change anyone's productivity!!!!!
How did it do in the slush?

Thank you! I only ran this machine with these tracks so I don't have a comparison.
Weird question, my wife loves your brown boots in this video, can you tell me make and where you got them?
Aww thank you! Please tell her they are the Eddie Bauer Women's Lodge Boot ☺️

@@leegrahamoutandabout8327 Thank you so much for watching! I will be filming a kayak adventure next week! ☺️ I hope you're having a great summer!
Never seen tracks that narrow before.. Besides for farm machinery.
👍☺️☺️☺️
