Even with balance issues, psn issues, and glitches. This is still a far better and more fun game than any of the other live service options i have right now. The loop is just so much dang fun.
I couldn't agree more. We just need some of those vehicle mission objectives now! I want to hop in and drive around looking for samples and bugs.
I yet the yt community on this game whines like hell. I meet so many new friends on mic playing this game, great community in game but look through the various yt videos and it's mostly negative whining. There's always COD 😂
Facts, this is the first game since Cod Black Ops 2 that I’ve been this obsessed with a game. 350+ hours etc. This is one of the best games in a very very long time. BUT the devs seems to know how to deal with a community in general but not one this big,they are a few bad updates / decisions away from destroying their game which will be heartbreaking. They just need to drop the saying “a game for everyone is a game for no one” and realize they have something that 90% of AAA devs wish to have. They can’t mess this up. But anyway great game man.

Yeah they just recently added the new voice lines and TV news clips. They also added one that just plays the Super Earth Galactic Anthem which is funny to hear
I’d ironically and sometimes unironically stand infront of the screen and salute until the anthem is over, otherwise my Democracy Officer will look pissed at me

Once they fix balancing and start with new innovations like new passives, terrains etc. I believe it will increase players and increase its longevity
Yeah they need a nice and large patch adding a lot of features. It's getting boring for me and becoming a social game, which is something new for me. Primarily I now pop in to see if friends are on and maybe to check out the new personal orders just to keep medals on me for if anything fun or new pops up.
There’s plenty they can add, new enemies, new biomes, new objectives, underground missions, etc… if they keep a steady stream of new content, the game will always feel fresh when we come back from playing another game.
Wish the gas mask looking helmet actually worked. I love using the gas strike. I wish it was just a little bigger area. Im so using these

well the gas isn't "gas", its acidic. sooo.. that helmet wouldn't protect you either way. you would need an entire armor that was resistant
You know what would be an interesting addition? Allowing people to spend excess slips and samples to progress something to do with the galactic war. Maybe be able to buy a booster that will give a 3x more impact to a completed operation, for example.
This I do like! We need an alternative way to spend our capped currency.
I HAVE to assume they're adding a gas-mask upgrade option at some point. Otherwise, there's almost no difference between gas and fire.
Gas deals less DOT, but a gas mask can counter it, giving you more flexibility with your chokepoints!

Like the gas affects automatons so is it corrosive? Maybe it could do less damage than fire but corrode enemy armor.
For a while I thought that wasn't the case, because of the Charger's leg armor glitch.
Uh, no. Gas and Fire may both be DoT effects, but function completely differently.
One is just on the ground, the other actually poisons things that jump over the area LIKE HUNTERS.
Hunters can jump over any fire you throw down, but you can't jump over gas.

Personally I'm still having a good time with it. The Sony fiasco really hurt the player base and the delisting needs to be reverted.
Better balance/buffs are needed, and I'm hoping I'll be playing for a couple years.
The new commercials are incredible. My buddy took a restroom break and came back to me laughing uncontrollably! The developer’s ability to tease upcoming gear by weaving it into lore is part of what makes this game feel alive. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a place able AT mine with the excuse being that we produced all the mines but the engineers are still working out the kinks in the deployment mechanism 😂
Imagine a tiny tesla grenade. It stays there for like 10-15 seconds like a turret.

what's the point of the emp nade when stun already exists
I think the emp is useful for keeping a constant field that stuns the enemies while the stun grenade just is instant impact and it doesn't linger
Stun is a smaller radius and completely stuns. Emp has a larger radius and slows...they can still shoot and move.
Electric magnetic pulse probably shut down automatons

wider radius probably and its a constant so enemies can walk in and be effectively stunned. It also probably affects tanks, bile titans, and factory striders too which aren't affected by stuns at all. Its gonna be more useful for bugs since they're melee and all that and can't shoot.
The picture of the grenade in the thumbnail is the same grenade I posted on reddit long ago asking what it may be. I've noticed since day one that various unreleased grenades like thermite, etc, have been laying around the engineering bay.

My list stratagem needs and idea's for balancing.
Flamethrower turret (has 30 meter range but in a 90 degree ark)
Airburst napalm mortar (same balance as current mortar variants)
Gas eagle airstrike (5 payloads, 3 uses before rearming)
Gatling gun (1500 rpm, 2 seconds spool time, 750 rounds. Requires backpack to use, teammate can carry backpack to speed up reloads and steady the recoil when firing)
Tesla guard dog (to be used by the user in conjunction with the 3 armor types that reduce ark damage by 95%.
Maybe a team booster could also be released to stack with the armor to further make tesla and ark weapons for a team build more viable)
i hope the Gas Granades remain like this

at the same time the Gas Strike gets a Buff - as its basically just the granade as of right now

As well as eagle gas in a line of four canisters 👀
Someone tell arrowhead to make the toxic gas flamable so we can light it up with flamethrower, incendiary grenades, fuel tanks and all the incendiary guns and stratagems. It'd encourage some creativity outside of "fire gun and then fire smaller gun" haha
The gas grenade video has been playing on the screen in the ship since Tuesday. If you're having an issue with killing your teammates with the incendiary impact grenade, try not throwing it at them. I don't have a point of team damage with it yet.
Player counts go down with summertime in the northern hemisphere
It has a lot of potential, the devs are very active with the community which helps. It’s going to take them a year to will out the bugs. Like most modern games, it was released too, and wasn’t ready, they thought they’d develop the game as they went, like most early access games do.
just to be clear... does the automons have a respiratory system or does their air filters and pollen filters just get clogged causing them death from the "gas"?
We already have the "emp", it's called the stun, it's in the cutting edge warbond.
I would really like simple highlight color designation options on armor. Say, for example, red - explosives, orange - fire, green - toxic, blue - energy, yellow - ballistics... so-on and so-forth. It would be cool to have a pauldron color, based on the trait of the armor. Be awesome to integrate alongside selectable traits. Gives an easy notifier to other players what your armor and playstyle build is.
Toxic grenade was kind of leaked some time ago as it's a grenade with gas holes.
First Galactic war or Great Galactic war is obviously Helldivers 1 and kinda makes fun of it originally was just Helldivers.
Ems grenade will by far be the best thing in any warbond so far. It’s literally the stun grenade on steroids. Now I just gotta hope that the next balance patch makes the guns fun to use again and I will be on good terms with this game again.
its a live service game so popularity will come and go. Lets just hope monthly updates will keep excite everyone to keep coming back even after some time
What's gonna be the pros of the EMP grenade over the stun grenade?
I do appreciate the historic nods this game does from time to time such as, the First Galactic War being formerly known as the Great Galactic War and only changing once the Second Galactic War started, much how WWI was known as the Great War at least.... until WWII rolled around that is, so as a history nerd I gotta give kudos to AH for that.
Edit: Also as a side note regarding your twitter/X conundrum, I just call it twix pretty much solves the problem imo and is kinda amusing to say.
I wish they would add some new weapons that are fun to use. The last warbond was such a disappointment. Just one smg that is alright, but not great either. The other two are just far too crappy to use.
EMP + Gas strike on top of bug holes will be very nice combo. Or fire whatever people prefer.
I just hope we get a helmet or armor that makes you immune to gas.
Love it. Still hoping for fire, as well. Imagine toxic planets that require you to wear toxic resistant helmets!

@@Danthepanman1 Why? You already know that once fire armor comes in the game, that'll be meta for fire tornado planets. Maybe it might not be ideal if it's FORCED, but as long as it's introduced in a way that makes it ultimately optional, just like it will be with fire armor, it'll be fine.
The gas is not toxic it's corrosive so it melts your armor/helmet and you. It's the only reason it does damage to bots, it's not like they are breathing.
I think you misread Johan's interview about his name. His last name doesn't translate into arrow head, it translates into arrow _stead_ which is a place (shed, cabin, etc) where arrows are stored.
Will you be covering anything relating to the current glitch in the game where by pressing the stratagem and grenade keys at the same time, you can send the grenades into negative values which then loop to become basically infinite grenades?
It’s been confirmed to be patched out in the next update. Not much to say about it
i feel the same way as the last guy, the only thing i have left to farm or gather more or less, are super credits so at this point its all about the fun of the game play for me, as for the game i dont think it will die, at this point its just hitting its settling point imo.

I still play every day, but there is nothing to do or play for other than to boost my friends lol
The game desperately needs an endgame grind or some sort of a progression system once you hit high lvls to unlock some paints/skins, some op weapons/armor/stratagems or anything really.
finally! a gas grenade. been thinking about gas grenades as ive been enjoying using smoke nades against bots.
smoke nades is a sleeper weapon that players havnt discivered yet. they are like stealth flash bangs!

If you look by where the turrets and mine lady on the upper right side of your destroyer you can see the gas grenade on the floor (I have a pic that I took but can’t post it)
In all honesty, unless they make all the toxic/ gas related strategems and such stronger or last longer/ longer lasting effects, I don't see this grenade being of much use.
i personally think with how long steam and sony have taken to put the game back to working order in those countries was the main reason its dwindling.
If the grenades aren't instant...I think they're gonna be kinda meh, the same way it was with the regular incendiary grenades. In my 215 hours before the last Warbond dropped (which introduced the impact incendiaries), I don't think I even seen anyone using the regular incendiary grenades.
Dont we already have a emp grenade? I'm pretty sure that's what the stun grenade is unless this is just the same thing but larger
Honestly, the reason why alot of people are REALLY vocal about the game's issues both big and small because helldivers 2 in its current state is still better than every multiplayer shooter out right now. I don't blame the community or arrowhead (except alexus and some of the community managers), I blame Sony for trying to sabotage a possible game of the year award.
I'd like weather resistant gear, and passives on our helmets with a transmog option. Ain't gonna hold my breath though.
Well allegedly helmet passives are slated to be a thing at some point, the CEO already axed any thought of a transmog option so your SOL there, but I could see elemental resistant armor being a thing, I mean hell we already got that arc resistant armor that nobody uses ever so why not others.... personally I'm really hoping for flame resist.
personally i believe this is a great game made by people who truly care about their players and once the stuff with sony and the balancing acctually makes the game fun the game will definetly be insane to play i got into the game because of the community and all of the stuff with malevelon creek propaganda i saw on instagram it was hilarous to me.

Core issue is 2 fold.
We are still reliant on the devs for difficulty/balance selection (the current “difficulties in og determine enemy mix/unlocks currently I feel MORE swamped in challenging than I am do in suicidal), we should have server/host settings and a browses.
Content is king, we need more stuff to spend out currencies ok and pop will ebb n flow with each meaningful content drop, we just hit the first post launch quiet period made all the worse by the SOnY debacle.
The interaction with the great galactic war comes from real life because before world war 2, world war 1 was called the great war but after world war2 it was renamed to world war1

I don't get to play everyday cause I work 12 hours and the only time I get to play is when I get home... I don't have time to play 3 missions though. so I can't really do anything but hop into a random person's game and help them or just not play that day. but I play helldivers 2 as often as I'm able to tbh. the game is just fun and enjoyable. everyone saw it in the begining but now everyone just sees the fact that they nerfed the fun weapons and not enough new stuff and of course the bugs. I have had some that were bad. but not often enough to act like the game is "completely unplayable" like I see so many people saying. I do think a lot of the people causing a small dev studio to basically work around the clock and not take days off at all just trying to appease the masses of people who have been spoiled by massive game titles... anyway yeah I rambled on a bit more than I intended to lol. yes I still play as often as I can and I do still enjoy the game cause I see it as what it is... a fun game that was fun before and will continue to be fun

I play every night after work still and I also have max all sample types and maxed out all war bonds but I just like playing the game even tho all my friends got bored of it and don’t wanna play with me as much anymore.

Good video, really hope we get a Hazmat War Bond. I would love something like a flamethrower, but it's gas. A hazmat suit that lets me withstand the gas and emotes that let's me fart on the bugs like I am tea bagging them. Along with gas powered mortars.
Would also love ArrowHead to fix their abusive discord mods. Love the CEO(And twinbeard), but their discord mods need a balance patch.
I think the new super weapon will just obliterate Meridia....and of course spread the spores to all the adjacent planets.
Give us both grenades how they are now. Don't nerf them!

No way it dies. It just has a normal player base now, now way it was gonna substance those insane numbers and the second there is a new alien race it will be another surge similar like events in fornite. But a game wide weapon buff would help.

I believe there was a leak for a chem gun awhile ago. It also looks like the flamethrower, so your wishes might be answered.
There was the TOX-13 Bug Spray in Helldivers 1, which was an acidthrower instead of a flamethrower. I heard somewhere that everything in the first Helldivers is going to show up here in the sequel.

the game is not dying. far from it. and the second the illuminate appear, youll have 100s of thousands of players cramming up the servers again.
The game has fallen down a ways from where it used to be. To get back on the right path it needs to bring all weapons back up to the bar that was set in the first week of launch.
And before someone undoubtedly says it, yes not every weapon was good back then and some have actually come up closer to this bar like the Incendiary Breaker and the Diligence rifles. My meaning is not to revert weapons back to how they were back then, it's to have no weapon feel less than how the good weapons felt.
Nerfed on Day 1
The biggest problem right now is their lack of experience to handle their sucess. They rushed stuff, made the game more unstable and nerf all the fun things. They rushed the process and this is hurting the game a lot. It still fun, but cant say it will last of they dont try to fix more than add.

When Arrowhead proves that they're worthy of trust again then I'll start believing them. Remember arrowhead knew that PSN linking was going to be mandatory. As much as I don't agree with it, it should have been enforced from day one. All the balancing issues are on Arrowhead. And the CEO needs to step up and do what CEO's do and enforce one vision for the game. And remember divers, you paid money for this. They are supposed to be serving you. If you're at your favorite restaurant and find a dead rat in your salad, are you going to compliment them on the extra protein or actually do something about it. Save the praise for when they get their shit together.
