Smart move for the Raptors they’re playing other NBA but it’s the playing with their actual teammates that’s the most important thing here. They won’t need time to gel or mesh with anyone because they’ve been playing together for months before the season even started. They’ll be in mid season form a couple weeks into the season. Wouldn’t be surprised if they start the season off hot.

Dude exactly what I was going to say. He’s actually reading the D instead of just trying to exploding by. Blanton had a ton of potential he just needs to control himself. He seemed last year like he was trying to do too much. Watching this he seems more in rhythm

Achiuwa needs to work on his body language. There are going to be moments next season where things don’t go his way. He needs to harness that frustration in to energy on the court.

I heard he started played ball at like 16 or something. Makes sense why he improved so fast. He doesn't stop improving 💪🏾
He's not married, which helps. But agreed, he's the best - constantly improving and a veteran presence. We're lucky to have him.

MLSE has done a great job with the Raptors… I guess it’s Masai through MLSE but anyway the Raptors have become one of the best developmental programs in the NBA. They’re finding talent in multiple ways and then paying them when it comes time. No need for drama like the Knicks etc we don’t need to sign a star when our own president is a founding father of “Giants of Africa”

I think this is the first time they play with their likely starting five, although I didn’t see Tyger Campbell out there, the other times it was just Jaquez, Adem Bona (freshman), and benchwarmers.

@@jas1565 Pascal's prime will start when he's 30 or 31. He does not rely on explosive moves to score. He's sneaky strong, does not need to jump high to get that ball over the defender. King of awkward finishes and beyblade-esque spins. His fade is money now.

Unless he puts on weight, hes just Chris Boucher 2.0. We need him to be stronger to dominate the paint. Shot blocking is nice but thats a god given gift. We need more than that, we need muscle, weight, a walking wall. Raptor's only example of that was Marc Gasol. Raptor's only need for a center is to stop Behemoths like Embiid, Jokic, Valunciunas.

Chris Boucher has clearly been putting in that work this offseason. Not only does he look likes put on some muscle but his handles are looking dramatically improved. He set up a few guys mostly Christian with some in and outs I’ve never seen in his bag before this summer. Looking like a 50+ win Raps team this year with all the internal growth I’ve seen already this offseason.

The reason the whole Raptors team is being used is because they hired Rico Hines as there development coach. He working for the Raptors Organization.
Yes Rico Hines was hired by the Raptors organization...But his private runs is based in LA & you have to pay to play, trained & be coached.
Completely separate from the raptors organization. So the players that show up to these games choose play.
There is footage of 4,5 years ago with the Raptors squad at Rico Hines. It’s something they do every summer

I think Jaime will get drafted, if it’s not for his talent, it’ll be for his effort, he’s a scrappy, hard nosed player, and play both sides of the court, he’s a Caruso like player, he’ll give you a solid 20 min per game, I think every team needs a player like that.
