Davide Cerrato, Managing Director of the Montblanc Watch Division, will present you the (his) new watches 2020. This is part one of our presentation. In a couple of days we will add part two and show even more watches designed and manufactured by Montblanc.
We are starting with the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere with a blue dial. This ticking beauty will be followed by some more ticking stunners, being all together technically interesting and absolutely fair priced watches. So enjoy or video and what we taped via Zoom ...

Why don't they incorporate the Monblanc Star into the design rather than that mountain.
That was a choice made and I think it is a good one, since the mountain reflects the historical logo and also distinguishes the watches from the fountain pens...

Davide Cerrato is a quality-seal therefore! Montblanc is more and more becoming a serious watchmaker and is being recognized as such...

Absolutely right, trade shows are not for the end users anyways, this is a great way to introduce new releases and the people behind it, there is no way an average client can go and talk to the CEO about the products. Here you see the stuff and if it really speaks to you go, see and feel the real thing.
I have the Geosphere in bronze limited edition which I love 😍. Adding the blue one on the bracelet will pair it no doubt.

Really strong range from Montblanc, I particularly liked the Geosphere in blue on the blue calf strap, it works very well and is very competitively priced.

The Pulsograph in pink gold is absolutely stunning!!! wow, the movment is amazing!! really like it!!!!
Minerva! Some of the very best chronograph calibres ever conceived...
I don't understand where are they going with the brand. They do a good vintage inspired designs, but then they horribly oversize them, and overprice them. They don't stand a chance in this price range, these are already rolex, iwc and jlc prices. I really liked the one with salmon dial, but it's way oversized. Plus I don't understand why they came up with a new logo for watches, original logo is one of the better logos ever.
Well, they are talking about a huge demand, not able to deliver enough, 3-4 minutes into the video

Every year is experimental for Montblanc. Cerrato made a huge impact with the Black Bay releases, I hope it will be the same way for Montblanc.

The use of an inhouse movement push up the price.
@@tarquesh it's not an in-house movement. It's an in-house module on top of a Sellita movement.

A friend of mine waited almost one year to get his... so I can confirm what Davide said...
@@WatchAdvisor but there are lot of geospheres available on chrono24 which are labelled as new.

I think a lot of the guys who buy from ad and try and flip, i am sure they are in trouble now by hoarding a lot of pieces pre corona and now with the prices correcting themselves. So the bubble getting smaller.

Really enjoy what Montblanc is doing at the moment. Great value and elegant designs. However, most look somewhat safe, dare I say generic, I can't help but feel they really need at least one distinctive watch to really define the brand.
The 1858 Geosphere is on its way...

MB had the TimeWalker and the Nicolas Rieussec but they've discontinued the old TimeWalker and very much deemphasized the Nicolas Rieussec.
I disagree. Just look at that blue dial and a very unique never seen before metal bracelet...It's definitely unique and the dial with that globe design is also neet...The metal bracelet is 2020 btw....

I own a Montblanc wallet, nice quality. They are directly competing with Rolex, though. I wouldn't buy a Montblanc watch at their current price points.
They are for sure NOT competing with Rolex! Montblanc watches are clearly positioned below of Rolex. So you must compare them to other watch-brands. The price point is correct! You get value for money and a great design.
The burgundy dial is a must for this watch. Maybe in 2021. Last year the JCL reverso had a burgundy dial and it's a huge hit. Look stunning.
Burgundy is a thought I had whilst chatting with Davide... in fact that color could look really good on such a dial and MONTBLANC there with again be a pioneer...

Montblanc website says it's 42mm like the previosully models not 43mm for Geosphere

Will not happen! Montblanc bought Minerva and so the name is no longer officially used...
