Thanks! I never wear a wig for dance, but I'm going to a geek convention this weekend. I'm doing a Sybil Trelawney costume Saturday (complete with wild wig), followed by an Art Nouveau-inspired costume that night. A friend told me about the pin curls trick, and that will definitely give me a head start on soft curls!
I was shown this method (though with smaller pincurls), with an optional extra bit. If you use a mesh wig cap, you can remove the bobby pins before you put your wig on. Then, after you take the wig off, you can remove the wig cap and voila - a nicely waved 'do instead of "wig hair".
Your wig videos are so far the most helpful for what I need. My daughter is in community musical theatre and her current role requires a long wavy wig that needs to stay on through lots of dancing. Pinning the cap to pin curls! Yes! And then your other video that shows how the wig is pinned to the cap is also super helpful. The question I have for you is whether your wigs have to ever be brushed or touched up during offstage moments. The wig we are using is a blend of human/synthetic. So we are finding that it needs attention at scene changes. Do you have any tips?
(Im a theatre kid, not a dancer but...) thank you so much!
You are more than Welcome :D:D:D:D Love Alessia :D
SAME.
Yessss

How would you do that without it falling out of the wig needddd to do this for my show coming up haha x
@@lexicarter96 If the wig cap is as tight as most are, the pressure would probably keep the hair in place unless it's especially fine and slippery.
I did a professional production of the Addams family, my first time wearing a wig in a show. This helped me so much. Not a dancer, but thanks anyways!
What a coincidence, I'm here bc I'm Wednesday and we could dye our hair or use a wig, here I am cuz the wig won 🤠
