if you want to save a lot of money up cycle fabric that you don't use like old tshirts and I bought fleece backing. I made 30 pads or so for 34 dollars with some store bought fabrics, terrycloth cloth/flannel for the core and and fleece for the back. If you have even limited sewing skills it's super easy
I’ve been sewing my own with fabrics and old shirts I have laying around the house😊 they’re so much more comfortable! And it puts my mind at ease not putting so much plastic waste into the environment. If you’re someone with even minimal sewing experience, they’re super easy to make!
Oh god seeing the disposables next to the reusable ones. They look awful! Wouldn't trade my cute, comfy looking, non-crinkly reusables for the world! Great video by the way :)
I just ordered my first WAHM made pad off of Etsy and I’m so excited to see how I like her work! I have China cheapies and Charlie bananas now, and I like them but I’m ready to foray! Lovely video!
Fantastic on all points! I first started using RUMPS back in around 1999 or 2000 and the choices back then were dismal compared to today (today it is AMAZING!). But it was exciting nonetheless. Do you remember Glad Rags? They were so quality and really ahead of their time. All the points you mentioned were hurdles I too had to cross. Thank you for putting this important info out there for people. :-)
Guess since I have to wash my underwear in the launderette (yes I wear giant granny panties!) With any men who happen to be around staring anyway- I can get used to the confused looks. It is not immediately obvious what they are.. unless you are already familiar with the concept of re-use. Or wash them specifically in a nylon mesh type net bag. Those kinds are designed for intimates or delicates but they would be most ideal for disguising the nature of the goods in question.
I have several of hers. I love the bamboo charcoal ones. The cotton blend ones don't work for me. But I think that has more to do with my cycle - I have a heavy flow.
They're inexpensive because she is a re-seller, not a maker. You can find the same type of "Chinese cheapies" on eBay for a third of Precious Star's price :) Amazon also sells "Chinese cheapies" but I'm unsure of the price point
Maya Griffin u change them as often as u do disposable. So if u know how many disposables u go through during a cycle then thats how many u need unless of course u can wash often
Im afraid to @ 72 and not menstrating x 30 years I think you ladies have too much times on your hands! Plus you are way to obsesses with your "cycle"! Get a grip, get a new hobby and just let Mother Nature do her thing. Get overt,!

Ugh Lori; The sound of those disposables made me shiver!!
Meee TOO!! LOL
Right?! Ick...how did we ever wear those >.
Idk! Thought that was my only option. I am blessed for cloth!
@@charmedcycle7555 disposables were the worst, especially because I don't like tampons they were my only choice.

What are some of the best brands you bought? I’m looking into buying cloth pads
Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you so much... You just reassured me that I'm on the right path.
I just wanted to add that I really enjoy watching your videos. Another good one here, as usual.

Hi. Do you have any thoughts on precious stars pads? They seem pretty inexpensive, and as I'm in the uk, shipping is practical for me. Thanks :)
Flo Wood I have two of those pads I like them, I would just buy a two or three to see if you like them or not. you can always buy more

what fabric is that black topper?
Such great tips!
extremely helpful!
Where do you get your sea sponge tampons? Are they "special" sea sponges?
Cool!
Great video.. it would have been nice if you showed us your cloth designs but it's understandable why someone wouldn't
Great tips !
Is it hyginic to reuse the pads?
Yes when cleaned well and frequently between uses
Where do you buy cheap good pads small style? I flow in the middle and have little flow if that helps.
RoseLaMort etsy has a lot of pads at good price
Thanks for the sub, lady! I love your videos :)
How many pads do you need for one whole cycle? On average
Maya Griffin u change them as often as u do disposable. So if u know how many disposables u go through during a cycle then thats how many u need unless of course u can wash often
Love your video and sharing it 😊
Thanks Neyda! xx

I am 71 sweet. Incontinence is a problem. Something more comfortable would be wonderful.
