Thank you for this! I've been trying to figure out how to tell the difference between the fleeces except anti-pill. I hate anti-pill because it always leaks for me if I'm put any sort of weight on it, like sitting. Windpro is where it's at!
I love your videos. I've noticed that you are the only one that talks about living in a warm climate. I live in a place that is very hot and humid. If you could please let me know what materials should I look for when living under these conditions? Thank you for your videos.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! I take notes when I purchase pads, but I KNOW I still make mistakes in my videos identifying fleeces! This is really useful!
Windpro doesn't shrink so it's not necessary to wash it, but I do anyway. Micro fleece and anti-pill / polar / blizzard fleece should all be washed/dried on hot prior to use.
Hello Yaya! For my fleece scraps I usually will make cup spots or facial wipes with them as a backing material and OBV or a cotton fabric as the topper. I have A LOT of scraps and it drives me crazy, lol
I chose to focus on these specific fleece backer but there are definitely more options out there. I personally have never used Polar Fleece. Blizzard Fleece is very similar to Anti-Pill Fleece in my experience.
I have used polar fleece as backers to my cloth pads, and while it's not as nice, I find it still does the job ( for a light to moderate flow period). The texture is a bit more sturdy (it reminds me a bit of felt) in terms of the construction of the pad, so it doesn't make a floppy type pad, but a more stiffly structured pad. I find that it's a bit more difficult to sew as well, but I do all my sewing by hand, so this may not be a problem for a sewing machine. Hope this helps! I'm by no means a pro, I only make pads for myself and close family and friends so I don't have all the knowledge of fabrics and how the work, but polar fleece works for my purposes. If I can though, I go with antipill, it's a but more plush, which I like.
I hate microfleece. I made a mistake of ordering microfleece backed heavy pads and I bleed through the wings all the time after just a few minutes of wearing.

Which of the fabrics is the most breathable?
Hi how would Blizzard fleece perform? Is it a bad idea to use as a backing?.
Left field question: do you need to pre wash (prep) these materials before making cloth pads

where do you get the wind pro fleece? I can't find it. Want to make sure to get light weight and can't find a supplier on internet. Please share.
