But why?: - MRT-3 trains does not look good (in aesthetical) anymore if the 4-car configuation was pushed through. - And it would make the original MRT-3 trains' (the CKD Tatra RT8D5M LRVs) lifespan shorter because of the additional weight caused by the use of 4-car configuration setting. My advice is don't force the MRT-3 to run on a full 4-car configurated train sets setting. The current 3-car config is enough to serve 350,000 daily passengers of the MRT-3 system.
Sadly, I didn't ride the said railway lines today. I'm still waiting on the regular service of the 1st Dalian Train set, then that's the time I'll max up my rail uploads here on the channel.
The gov't should not run the MRT-3 line they as they are inefficient. They should award the O & M to the private sector similar to the LRT 1. Look at the operation of the LRT 1 it has no more problem when it was awarded to the private sector. The reason behind is that the person appointed is a political consideration and not due to competence.
I agree with your opinion but awarding the O&M of MRT-3 to another private conglomerate is impractical. Why? Because MRT-3 is still owned by a private corporation led by Robert Sobrepeña named Metro Rail Transit Corporation (MRTC), and there's still 6 more years before the BLT Agreement between MRTC and DOTr expires. The best solution for now is to let the private owners again to maintain and operate the MRT-3. The government still holds the whole responsibility on MRT-3 as we talk. The DOTr thinks that they are capable on operating the said system.
And by the way, Manny Pangilinan's Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) currently has a shares on the Metro Rail Transit Corporation (MRTC) of Robert John Sobrepeña.
Disagree privatizatioj will lead to high fare. This should be kept by the government and they should just maintain it and besides sumitomo is our maintenance provider so what is the difference between government own vs privatization when in fact they will both use sumitomo as their maintenace provider. The difference government can lower the pricw for services while privatization will look for profit leading to higher fare
@@marklouieadame I agree with your opinion, and I do hope that you're not pinpointing the private owner of the MRT-3 system (which is the Metro Rail Transit Corporation or MRTC)
@@philippineassociationofrai8305 not pinpointing although we all know private companies will always be profit oriented meaning control on fare hikes. Basic transportation should never be a 100% fully own by any private companies.
Very true. MRT-3's rails are not replaced since it was first laid during the MRT-3's construction in 1998. The reason why there are huge cranking sounds on this video is because of the many dents, cracks, and fish clamps on the rails, caused by the continous rail grinding of the old rails. Speaking of soundproofing, the Dalian Trains are well soundproofed. You can rarely hear noises from the outside when the doors are closed.
@@kamijousawamura3168 Actually, the MRT-3's first proponent EDSA LRT Corporation Ltd by Eli Levin planned to build a LRT line along EDSA, by using a metro-type LRV like the Dubai Metro is using today. Stations designs are large and has a world-class look. But in 1995, Robert John Sobrepeña bought the EDSA LRT Corporation of Eli Levin. From EDSA LRT Corporation, he (Sobrepeña) renamed it into Metro Rail Transit Corporation (MRTC), while the EDSA LRT Holdings Inc was renamed into Metro Rail Transit Holdings Inc (MRTH). Sobrepeña's Group decided to create a development group to handle the land development of North Triangle and other commercial-related business, and the Metro Rail Transit Development Corporation (MRTDC; mostly known as MRT DevCo) was created. In short, the MRT-3 was not supposed to be a real MRT line.
@@kamijousawamura3168 Converting the MRT-3 from Light Rail to Heavy Rail is hard and it will cost you billions. The cost for the conversion can actually build a new rail line. Much better if you use that money for building another rail line on other congested places, or cities and provinces who needs a railway system.
Not yet actually. The Dalian Trains and the original Tatra Trains of the MRT-3 are still trapped on 25kph speed restriction, because of the old rails. MRT-3's speed is expected to increase to 40kph after the 1-week Holy Week Maintenance.

And you ride the MRT and LRT? because free ride today from 7:00am to 9:00am and 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Sadly, I didn't ride the said railway lines today. I'm still waiting on the regular service of the 1st Dalian Train set, then that's the time I'll max up my rail uploads here on the channel.
@@philippineassociationofrai8305 yeah i don't know what happened to dalian trains
The dalian train lrvs is still on LRT 1 depot?
@@JoshuaRail3070 Nope. All of the 48 Dalian LRVs was already moved to the MRT North Avenue Depot in 2017-2018 I think.
MRT3 Rails is really bad.
Sound proof is good as Sharyo LRV's
Bad design by bad maintenance
Dapat nga heavy rail ang MRT3 eh, kasi Metro Rapid hndi LRV ang tumatakbo
Good info.
Since di naman connecting na to for LRT Line 1 hoping they convert it into Heavy Rail type
MRT 3 3100 Class
21:50 parang masiyado atang maingay yung pinapanood ni kuya
Yeah, it's too noisy during that time. Luckily the video wasn't ruined by it :)
Thank you 🙏 China 🇨🇳 building this subway to 🇵🇭 philippine! 👏🏻🤙🏻☝️🍾🎈❤️🤩
Faith news ka din eh anong china building this subway? sabog ka ba?
Its elevated and not under ground so its means it cannot be a subway
ang bilis mganda mbilis qa mkarating sa pu2ntahan mo
Not yet actually. The Dalian Trains and the original Tatra Trains of the MRT-3 are still trapped on 25kph speed restriction, because of the old rails. MRT-3's speed is expected to increase to 40kph after the 1-week Holy Week Maintenance.
why do they have to trash it its a better inprovement for the mrt 3 and a good fit on the common station do they really have a heart? the old trains are cheap but they don't function well,The Kinki Sharyo Trains In LRT 1 Are Sound Proof They Use It Why Not The Same For The MRT 3 They Said It's A Rehabilitation But They Did Not LRT 1 did Still They Should Order More And Use More Not Just In Rush hour Special Occasions Etc.They Should Also Use It Like They're Old Trains NAIA Problems? SEND THEM ONE BY ONE To Expensive? THEN DON'T CANCEL IT THEY CAN STILL EARN MONEY
yan ba sabi nilang di compatible na train wagons? haha. ang ganda di ba
Yes Dalian Locomotives, they reconfigured the wheels to it in the existing tracks.

Good news:
I watched the one video of LRT 1

Yes. PHAR Philippines (the agency who manages the TUBE) started installing TUBE screens on LRT-1 last March 2019, starting at the 3G LRVs.
@@philippineassociationofrai8305 how about metrostar trains a.k.a tatra trains
@@JoshuaRail3070 TUBE are already in place on the Tatra Trains of MRT-3 last November-December 2018 as demo models, and started operating commercially in February 2019.

I agree. I still prefer this "not so really" automated announcement used by the MRT-3 from 2008 until 2011: ruclips.net/video/VzHOrk6jiCs/видео.html
