The castle was one of the most awesome things I think. It was built in 1160. It's amazing that something built over 800 years ago is still standing. Love watching the journey.
Ponferrada was something, wasn't it? We too had breakfast at that cafe - the coffee was excellent. My wife and daughter (who joined my son & I in Leon to walk the rest of the way) did not like that walk down into Molinaseca...at all! My son and I were used to hills (up and down) by then. Glad to see you're enjoying the experience! God Bless & Happy Easter!
You are closing in on O Cebreiro, our favorite village along the way. They have an awesome Tienda and also the church where the man who started painting the yellow arrows along the Camino to revive it is buried. Buen Camino!!
You can't buy Aleve without a prescription in Spain. I had the empty package and they granted my eight only and that was it. I had Gortex Salomon trail shoes on my Camino. We did not have as much weather as you are having but I did welcome the Gortex on the wet day. Only had one day of rain. I look forward to watching these every morning. Keep up the good work.
If those ancient walls in Ponferrada could talk! Yes, the newspaper really works well for wet shoes ...we tested it thoroughly on a rainy Portuguese Camino! Pancakes!! It will be my favourite place - for sure 🎉.
Hi I’m planning my Camino for next April, just wondering how far ahead you booked accommodation due to Easter holidays and did you find any difficulties during the Easter holidays?
We booked our accommodations about 7 days before Easter, all the way through the day after. I wouldn’t say we had difficulties, but it was more expensive right around Easter

Those snowy mountains! Wow! Great photo! I’m glad you guys could layer down today in the sunshine.
Oh… the highs and the lows on the Camino 😊
You making me smile! We can’t wait, just a few more days…
Buen Camino

For mi the Pilgrim Mass at O Cebrerowas...a festival o friendship...of beauty.
Galicia is wellcoming yoy!
Try asking for tisuderma 2.5%. It is a combo of hydrocortisone and neomycin. I always pick one up when I am on Camino.
Thanks for the tip

@@RecksTreks thank you for the reply!! Good to know
❤😅🎉
You couldn't buy Neosporin OTC?
And yet when I walked in 2013 I got 600 MG ibuprofen w/o prescription and pharmacist told me to take it 3 times a day!
Yeah I was amazed at what you could get versus what you couldn’t
What is your next stage? What village will you be staying in next?
Should make Vega del Valcarce tonight
@@RecksTreks Be sure to grab you some pizza at Vagabond Vieiras
