Thank you so much Ben! Your videos have been so helpful to me. If I wasn't broke AF I'd do more than have just words of thanks. If my crypto ever does anything good you are at the top of my list of people I owe... PS If I wasn't broke AF I probably would have just had the shop do it, and never would have seen your videos, so I guess there is a plus in that.
My 2014 fiesta doesn't shift to second very nicely especially when I apply more pressure to the gas pedal from a stand still. If i drive slowly from 0mph it shifts fine. Hopefully, its the TCM I'm bring it to ford Wednesday it has 99k miles 😢.
After replacing the clutch in my 2014 Ford Focus, the car developed a bad vibration coming from the transmission when reaching 2200 rpm is when you feel more. I took it to Ford for a diagnostic and they said the issue was with the engine mounts. I replaced all three engine mounts with OEM parts, and there are no codes for misfires or transmission issues but the vibration is still there. I'm preparing my self to drop the transmission and check for a bend flywheel or something similar. Note: car shift good, and I align the mark in the clutch and flywheel. If you have any suggestions of what I need to check I will be really appreciate.
2015 focus. Original TCM was throwing all kinds of codes. Replaced clutch and shift forks and fluid with motorcraft dual clutch fluid. Put a K05 TCM in. Now it's shifting a little hard in first to second and after driving probably more than 10 miles it will give a transmission hot warning, but no codes. Transmission hot warning usually will come on while coasting or not in city driving, but in highway conditions (very light driving). Could it be a shift actuator? Got any ideas? Thanks.
@clemrod3273 what codes are setting? If none you can try having ford program as-built data into the tcm. It's possibly with a 15 trans you may have an early build and need another calibration
My 2012 focus has about 155k miles and it just started give codes and having shifting problems. Ford replaced the TCM and it drove good for about 2 days. It currently gives the code P07A3 “transmission friction element A stuck on” I’ve use forscan and retrained my clutch 2-3 times and each time it drives fine for 2-3 days. It’s like it’s getting untrained. Do you recommend asking ford to just replace the clutch and forks or to do the whole transmission?
@@justinshinn6218 hi, I would have them do the clutch job. If you keep up on fluid changes, the synchronizers should last you a very long time. Not to mention, an entire new transmission would cost like 8 or 9 grand. As opposed to 3500
Whoops, I called it a "recall" in the video. Its not. Its an extended factory warranty on the TCM itself.
Thank you, I learned a lot with your videos.
@f.t9337 you're welcome! Glad to help 👍
Thank you Big Ben!

@@edwarscasique635 retorque the clutch nuts, and follow my video for that. That should fix it

@@BigBensCarsAndCycles Thank you!!
Oh yeah, it isn't throwing any codes, just hot transmission warning
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles I ended up resetting the TCM to factory firmware using Forscan. TCM works perfectly now. Thanks for the advice,

My 2012 Focus TCM is K04. Should I be concerned?
