We don’t keep much in the freezer. We think we are going to turn the flex zone into our wine🍷 fridge! So many options.

I have been trying to get this same fridge and its been on back order for weeks! Glad you were able to get it!
Yeah we got the last one in our area. Best Buy and Home Depot didn’t have it. Lowes had it for 1k more. We went to Samsung’s website and they had 1 left. So give that a try if you haven’t already.
First time seeing your channel. I feel you on the moving in the new house experience. We are in our newly constructed home finally as of a week ago. We bought the same refrigerator. The evening we moved in my daughter noticed that the bottom shelf was sitting about a half inch high in the front. Turns out subs that installed the unit or the cleaning ladies messed up! The filter housing was attached in the back but, the front was sitting on top of the track and not locked in place properly. Also the clear plastic filter housing door had a two inch chunk of plastic missing from the top. I was PO'ed! I was able to get the shelf out after a struggle as the doors don't open much beyond 90 degrees. I loosened and installed the filter unit properly. When trying to put the shelf back in I quickly found out how the guilty party broke the filter cover. No matter how much contorting and straining I did, I could not get the shelf back in because the open door space does not readily allow enough room. I don't know how the heck I got that shelf out in the first place ! The builder said the refrigerator was fine when they placed it, and the cleaning crew had to be the ones who messed it up. Have you had any trouble getting the bottom shelf in and out on your Samsung refrigerator? As for everything about the frige, we love it so far. You and your husband are such a lovely couple. Congratulations on your new home! I will be checking out more of your content.
Hi there, and thank you so much for watching! WOW at what happened with your refrigerator installation and shelf issues! Thankfully, we haven’t had any problems with the shelves, and we have been able to maneuver the water filter just fine. One thing to note, be sure to set advance reminders for when to order replacement water filters. The Samsung system alerted us the day-of that a new filter was needed, and luckily we had ordered a replacement back when we ordered the fridge. Now, we have our own reminder set to order a new filter 1 month before it needs replacing. We appreciate you for following our journey! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Our refrigerator just went out, so we went to Lowe's and this model was on sale and it was available. It was the winner. Thank you for the video guide; it's helpful. Hope it is reliable.

@@theirvs793 We were lucky and got it on sale, but when it arrived it was dented in 5 places ... three on the side that you can't see. The Lowes people installed it and said we'd get a replacement in a week. Then a month. Then three months. We do love the fridge, and can live with the dents, so we negotiated an additional discount and are keeping it. Question: Do you need to turn off the water to change the water filter? That would be an incredible hassle.
@@Dvdre congratulations! Too bad about the dents, but happy you were able to get a discount. No, you don’t have to turn off the water. There is a small drip pan under the filter to catch any liquid, but when we took ours out there wasn’t any liquid flowing.

This is similar to the model we chose. I'm still deciding if I want the family hub included. I love that I can pick panel colors to match my decor
Good choice! We recently heard that they are coming out with even more colors. Enjoy it.
For me the real killer app of the family hub is the inventory part of the View Inside app. You probably can do the same with a phone or even a pen and paper if you're old school but having it right there on the fridge telling you what's likely to go off soon has really helped us with meal planning. Some other features are fun and others are a bit useless. If you have somewhat bad habits and end up wasting a lot of food the screen could be worth it, if you think you'l use it to improve your habits.

Did you download the SmartThings app? You can make the adjustments from the app. Or you can use the keypad inside the refrigerator.
That looks very nice! I love the way it fits perfectly in the space. I just moved into my new dr Horton home as well 7/15. I love it!😁 I ordered my refrigerator from Best Buy days after moving in. It will be here 7/26 which was not bad. Everyone else was on back order for weeks for a counter depth fridge. I looked EVERYWHERE for the counter depth Samsung flex with the built in smart hub. Everyone was out. I had to go counter depth my because opening where the fridge goes is so shallow. only counter depth height will allow my refrigerator to not stick out too far. Store clerks kept telling my don’t get the smart hub fridge because it has too many issues. Guess I’ll never know now because they didn’t have it anyway lol My fridge is in front of my island so I decided not to do the standard for fear it would be sticking way too far out. My opening is only 24 inches deep. It has a built in cabinet so I wanted the fridge to look flush with the sides and only stick out far enough to open the doors . I’m praying that it fits and looks good even if it’s not an exact height and width wise. I know there is going to be space around it but I don’t think it will be too much. I went with whirlpool as my second choice because my other appliances are whirlpool. It’s a side by side stainless steel with ice maker. What were the measurements of your opening? Were you able to get a standard size in your space?
Hi there, thanks so much for watching! The refrigerator opening in our kitchen measures 22 in. depth, 38 in. width, 71 in. height. A standard size would have stuck out way too far, so we knew we needed a counter-depth model. Also, we originally wanted a Samsung BESPOKE, but it would have been 1-inch too tall for our space. We landed on this Samsung 4-door Flex French Door (counter-depth) and it’s been great!
@@theirvs793 so Best Buy stood me up lol but I did end up getting the Samsung flex 4 door with the smart hub a week later. I’ll let you know if it konks out on me like they said it would at Best Buy lol. I was done with them. I went somewhere else and got my Samsung flex in black stainless steel and it looks great! I love all the features. The tablet is my kids favorite (mine too😊)It’s awesome! Thanks for sharing your journey

Love your video, this is SO helpful! The fridge looks amazing. I know you’ve answered this in other comments but I’m in a really tricky spot with this fridge - our fridge opening height in our kitchen is 71 ¾ inches. The manual says the fridge height including the door hinge is 71 ⅞ inches, so it would be ⅛ of an inch too tall. It would be amazing if you could take a tape measure to your fridge and let me know the exact height of it including the door hinge? Thank you so much!!!
Just did it. From the ground to the very top, ours is exactly 72 inches.

I like that it looks less shiny than previous models. We took delivery of ours earlier in the week but it's not in place yet as builders are still working on the rooms leading to the kitchen, so we just have this huge box sitting in our living room. They were out of stock for a while so when one popped up on the alert we just hit go even though it was about a week before we could actually move it into place. I wonder if they really called it the flex because of the features or because it's a £3800 fridge.

@@theirvs793 We're loving the fridge. It's a world away from the one it was replacing. We're still getting used to having so much space to use. It's not plumbed in so we don't have the ice maker/water filter up and running yet. It's strange how it's changed the way we do groceries; I definitely feel like I'm eating healthier. We're wasting less food and we're able to meal plan a lot better with the increased space.

We are doing our research on refrigerators now, hoping to finish our new build this summer, I’ve been hearing lots of negatives on Samsung refrigerators (mainly about the ice maker) I’m curious as to if you guys still love your fridge and any issues you might have come across. This one is top on our list because the ice and water dispenser is on the inside but with all the negative reviews I’m wary about purchasing a Samsung.

We just purchased one but ours have the family hub with a middle drawer they said is the newest but for some reason stores are taking 30 to 60 days to deliver Samsung bespoke models mine is coming in 5 weeks I just hope is really worth it for the price . .
Samsung fixed their ice makers. I would avoid the french door models with the ice maker inside the refrigerator

Thank you for this review! I’m curious about your cabin space. Is your space 73 or 72 inches tall? My design sheet shows a 73 inch tall refrigerator, but I can’t tell if there is a ledge before the cabins start or if the cabinets are flush like yours are.
Thanks for watching. The dimensions of our space are 72” height 2 ft depth 38.5” width. We originally wanted a different version of the fridge, but that one was 73 inches high.

Great video, me and my husband just ordered today and it's getting delivered on Saturday. How's the ice maker? Samsung is known for bad ice makers and them always breaking. Is this newer model have better equipment like the ice machine and water system?
Thanks for watching! The ice maker and water system has been amazing. Zero issues. There is one design flaw…if the ice maker fills up, when you go to scoop out ice, the excess ice will fall in the back of the freezer. Easy to clean up, but we wish the ice trays had a higher back. We make sure we turn the ice maker off when it’s full enough.

How do you like your counter depth fridge so far?
We still love it after almost one year! It does well in keeping food fresh, the flex zone has been helpful when we have more fresh food to store, and water/ice functions are super convenient. Thanks so much for watching! 🙂🙂
Do you feel you lack space with the counter depth version. Still deciding which to go with.
For most of our needs, it works. But we definitely wish we had more space. Due to the space available for the fridge a standard depth would not have fit.

Hi! Thanks for your question. Every DR Horton community provides different incentives. Our community only provided the double ovens, stovetop, and microwave. Some communities provide washer and dryer and refrigerator. Once you get a contract for a house, the sales agent will let you know what they can provide.
Most, if not all, definitely provide the microwave and stovetop oven.

Just wanted to ask, does your left upper door close on its own? As in it won’t stay open without some assistance.
If you open the door all the way, it will stay in its position without assistance. If you slightly open it, it will naturally make its way back to the closed position, but won’t close without someone pushing it. If any of the doors stay open too long, the refrigerator will start to beep.
Mine does the same thing. It’s extremely annoying. I’ve done some research and you are supposed to raise the feet in the front? Hope this helps.
@@jasonfrost8428 yeah unfortunately I have to raise the front end like a Carolina squat for the door to stay open. I’m thinking about designing some sort of 3D print that will incorporate magnets.

After about 8 months of use, we haven’t had any issues with it. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 We use the water/ice features regularly and have switched the bottom flex zone several times between being a freezer/refrigerator, and it’s all done very well. 😊😊

I have the same one, but for some reason I can’t connected to my wifi, it says at the end of the steps that there’s an error.
Strange. We get a similar error with our whirlpool oven. Maybe try restarting the refrigerator- not sure how you even do that. Or call customer support like we had to do for the filter 😅.

Not a single issue. We heard all the bad reviews also, but decided to go with what we wanted. We are happy we did.

No issues at all. During the holidays we wish we had room for the full size version of the fridge, but most of the year the counter depth works well for us.
Don't forgot to take the advertising "10 year sticker" off the front of the fridge 😬 not sure when everyone thinks those things stay on electrics/ appliances

I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to RUclips it and think is this device something you want in your house

Samsung is a complete joke. Try calling customer service. Even bigger joke. Spend over $3000for a brand new fridge that won't cool and its 2+ weeks for a repair scheduled to come fix it. Even bigger joke.
