That red border around the thumbnail almost tricked me into thinking i already watched this video! Lucky it was at the top of the list or i would of missed it :P
Morten, why don't you save yourself all the hassle and just install a Starlink setup with a separate network output so that you can keep all your equipment in the house. That way you can always check your surveillance cameras to see if everything is OK there from Denmark. Starlink isn't that expensive anymore - especially in Portugal - and very stable too. You could reuse your existing radio bridge, for example, to have a surveillance camera on the mast looking over your property...🤷🏻♂️ I installed such a system in Åhus last year in September, even with the bad snow storms in February in Skåne was not a day without Internetconnection in the meantime.👍🏻
How wonderful to be in Portugal, especially with it being sunny. That was a nice visit at Cindy’s. Sorry to hear of her bad news. Your place looks cozy and warm with the Christmas tree. I like how your place is a bit remote. It must be a big job keeping the weeds down. I like the size of your place also. Although I’m a farm girl at heart I’m no longer up for the large upkeep. I think it will be too much for me to be completely off grid like Cindy. I think if I look at property I will need a move in ready like your place…with a large garden for vegetables…no more than an acre, or less. I think it is smart having solar backup. Enjoy your time with your mother and Jasper. How nice that they could join you. I put traps out in my garden and caught five mice in two days. They like to eat things around my composting heap. They are attracted to peanut butter (hard to find in Portugal). That is what I use on my traps. Good luck!
Great video as always Morten :) How long does it take you to get too your house in portgual from denmark, with flight and rental car drive to the house?
To protect your battery from overcharging you can get a voltage controlled really that will turn on when the voltage gets to high, then it can discharge through a resistor.
When every one clicks all the ads on my videos :-) My main problem is that I like my job, I have good collages and I even get off well, with my boss. If that changed, I would be here most of the time.

Glad you saw it was new :-)

I am going to change the tiny charge controller with another one,, one with settings... might help.
Are you planning on retiring in Portugal?

I meant in the future when you retire. You are about my age, so I didn't expect you to retire tomorrow, :)
