Volume 3 is considered one of best arcs of the story, I really really hope you like it.
You don't need to dwell too much into the namesakes and religion parts of it, the story itself will give you what you need to know, bits by bits.
Also, maybe it's a bit too early, but make sure for special attention and whatever you need to prepare for viewer discretion in Vol 3 Part 4. Part 3 will still be fine. But part 4 will tackle some darker themes. It's not exactly shown, but it basically not only implies but also confirms some nasty things. Like, for example, thoughts of "unaliving" of a certain character.
But the story still ends with everyone in a better place, as BA is simply one of the most life affirming and positive stories I've seen so far.

Great Stream!
I was thinking, are you planning to do any of the Event stories/Group stories in-between the main story? I think they could serve as a good as a break between some of the more serious/heavy story chapters later down the line.
The Event stories can be found in Event Recap on the home screen. Each one is about 10 Episodes, some people suggested doing Summer Sky Wishlist before doing Volume3Chapter3, but really you can do any or none of them.
The Group stories are short stories focusing on a single club and are each 2-3 episodes long. They require having the students from a certain club to access their story, but some are easier to unlock than others, Veritas and Engineering Department particularly are easy ones, and are both pretty enjoyable in my opinion.
