Guys, I just want to add something here as an ex-pg student of English linguistic and literature, that yes imitating helps, but you don't need to talk in American or British accent, if you're gonna stay in India forever. You know, in our pg course, there's a topic called "General Indian English", which is particularly based on Indian accent of English. Yes, we have our very own accent and it's not an artificial one. Speak English in your own natural accent, like the way you speak your own mother tongue/native language. Never ever feel ashamed of that. And one for thing, every year, we Indians also contribute some new terms in English language, and you'll get those terms in the updated versions of "Oxford dictionary". 👍🏻
You are not wrong. Indians can learn these accent if they are interested . It's not like that our accent is wrong. All countries have different accent and they don't adopt these accent. This is the way how we speak.
Conclusion - for increasing communication skills 1.watch English movies 2.write things after reading in your own language in any type of diary or journal 3. Believe in yourself..then you gonna learn something new
You are right, but accent is just to connect comfortably with people of some region. If you are able to communicate with your accent (whatever it could be), it's great. Well one problem that we people, not surrounded by English speakers, have is that we don't have someone to talk in English to. But I have a very GREAT TIP and I SWEAR BY that! Find a place where no one would see you open your phone and make videos of your self talking in English about anything like your day or what you are currently doing or anything you like. Just watch it and you'll know about your accent, mistakes, vocabulary, expressions EVERYTHING! It has helped me a lot.
Don't try to match her or anyones speed. Speak at your own speed. You will automatically become a fluent speaker. That's how it works. Think in english whatever you think. Never talk in your local language inside your mind.

But why would Americans speak Hindi ? We havent created the need. Its a sad truth but we always want an apple product but we never care to create one in India. We want to buy Prada or Gucci or Chanel but we never thought of creating a brand as big as them,,, even though Indian textile industry has such a huge potential. Most of the students want to either be a Doctor or an engineer or be a civil servent or just give a bank exam so that they can live a happy life and get married. We still are afraid of taking risks. And its sad that we are more interested in building Ram mandir rather than creating new industries which would create jobs.
We are good at Indian English... Don't need to copy Other county's accent...If British accent is different , American Accent is different so Our Indian English Accent is different...So it's okay having it.

One thing that I don't agree with Janhavi's video is that Grammer and memorization is not important. It is IMPORTANT! I know that every single thing of Grammer is not important but we are supposed to know about these rules cause you can only talk Proper if you know about these rules. And if you'll start speaking without knowing these rules it will not leave a good impression on the person who will see you talking like that!

@@lucaff5899 English language have different accents like- British, American, Australian, Indian, Nigerian, etc. Most popular is American and then comes British. Some find the Brit accent as funny. Every accent is funny to the other.

One thing that I don't agree with Janhavi's video is that Grammer and memorization is not important. It is IMPORTANT! I know that every single thing of Grammer is not important but we are supposed to know about these rules cause you can only talk Proper if you know about these rules. And if you'll start speaking without knowing these rules it will not leave a good impression on the person who will see you talking like that!

English or any language is just medium of expressing idea or thought, it just means if u r good at transferring meaning of ur talk to a person before u, then u r good at communication ,don't just focus on rules of grammar. It just business language don't practice as a culture.
