I use to sing this for a girl I knew. She would laugh at me and ask me what depressing music I'm listening to. This is still one of my favourite songs.
This song makes me think of sooooo many different things. I'm sad now. :(
The fact that i played this song for my girlfriend over VR chat 3 years ago...it just floods my mind with all of these memories. I had recently played this song about a month ago for my family because they wanted to hear the song that i had sang to my lover 3 years ago and it went perfectly. Skillet is amazing...and nothing could ever change my mind about that.
My crush is a close friend, I'm afraid to lose him if I tell my feelings, so I'm waiting for the right time.. anyway Skillet are amazing and emotional, god bless you guys.
I don't know if you've told him yet, but if not you should, even if he doesn't reciprocate your feelings I don't think you'll offend him or lose him. Honestly if I was the bloke in a situation like this I would find it very flattering as we don't get many compliments and noticing and valuing these qualities will make his week, month hell maybe even his year. I would also recommend trying to tell him in a fairly private place as personally I don't know how I would react in that situation in a public place in front of others. Also as a pre warning if he is surprised it could be due to him not picking up signs (we can be pretty blind sometimes) or he could have been too nervous to act on these signs.

I rarely put anything on here but I take the lyrics so differently . I think it's not about a relationship between a women and a man it's the relationship between you and god. The path we walk with the Lord has jagged edges and it's not always a straight path you fall you get lost can take months years and decades to get back on your path but with a lords heart you find it so the lyric that always gets me leaves me in tears is " i stretch, but your just out of reach im ready , when your ready for me " that's the Lord's way of saying I'm here take my hand I'll walk with you , but if your not ready I'll wait for you I carry this quote in my soul he will never leave me no matter how far I leave him.

If I get a boyfriend at school, he'd probably dedicate this song to me. I used to be an expert at pretending everything's okay, but I've been revealing a bit more these days by being more quiet in class, making sure the teacher is fine with me sitting in the back, sitting alone at lunch, etc. No, I'm not suicidal or anything, but I'm rather still thinking about a lot going on my childhood--such as attempted suicide after being diagnosed with epilepsy at 8 and being on medicine that fucked up my behavior, living in a town full of criminals that caused me paranoia everynight, being bullied in school for my autistic behaviors (which I've been trying to fight these days), and everything. Plus, don't forget my dad's death in 2015 from brain cancer. I know they say to let go of the past, but in my terms, I don't believe it; my childhood is the only thing in my life that is heavily still weighing me down. I guess if I look ahead of that future, I can say that I'm hoping to go to a 4-year college to get a degree in special education teaching to teach other students that are on the autism spectrum, like I was and still am, or whatever. I guess it makes me feel happy that it's awesome for a special needs student, at the moment, wishing to teach others falling in the same category of getting extra help, just like I am now at my current school. But a lot of my past is also restricting me from achieving that goal, just because it's stressing me out.

I like Skillets music,but I don't agree with the fact that they have to publicize that they are a "christian band". Its like thats their whole gimmick to get fans. A lotta the dudes in Slayer are devout catholics,at last check.Many other bands also have very religious members,for another example,David draiman from disturbed,Is a proud Jewish man,and it is sometimes reflected through his music in songs such as "Never again" Yet they don't have to label themselves as "jewish metal",its just metal. So,thats my major malfunction with Skillet. I like their music,but I feel like they are not talented enough to be headlineing tours and such without using the "christian rock" gimmick as a way to drum up more fans than they would have otherwise if people did not widely know that about them. the only reason they are is because of their insanely loyal "christian" fans. It really is just like Cartman said in that episode of south park where they all start a christian rock band,christians will buy anything,just because its christian lol.(paraphrasing cartman)

Well, I certainly don't speak for all Christians, but we're taught to love them no matter what they choose to believe. You can believe as you like, but I will not hide my faith for anybody.
