I have tried and make this movie even more interesting than the one before, with more added effects and pictures it should be worth seeing!
For this movie I have not used any website with different lyrics, all the lyrics are selfheared and written.

RIP to my buddy Dave, he introduced me to Breaking Benjamin via this very song and i'll never forget having it on repeat for the rest of that day. 5 years since he succumbed to depression and left us, I always think about him whenever I come across this song. I have some one like that too. My Grandfather was like my second dad for me, He introduced me to rock music, and I will never for get him. He passed away 6 years ago, right on my 8th birthday... I will always remember the times We had.

14 years later, Saturate is still an excellent album. 8 year later, this is still one their best songs. 1 year ago, Dark before Dawn was one of the most popular albums of the year, using the same old formula as 14 years ago. BB have somehow found a formula that never gets old.

When you learn about Ben's past addiction with alcohol and then later put that into the context with his songs. This song was a message to the bottle that controled him. Dude was an absolute poet to his own recovery.

I think the meaning of the song is kinda about love. Some people say its about being addicted to a drug but I think its about a mans breaking heart.
The meaning of the song to me: A man broke up with his love he no longer sees the fire in her eyes (in this case kinda a metaphor when someone sees the fire in there eyes its like saying they love them, when that fire goes away its like losing that feeling u dont feel the same anymore.) "You take the breath right out of me" when you love someone so much this is also a metaphor u love that person so much they take the breath out of you. "You left a hole where my heart should be" meaning he is broken hearted after the break up he still loves her even though she broke his heart. Proof that he still loves her: " You take the breath right out of me." " I know that I can find the fire in your eyes" this kinda meaning he believes he can love her again. "Pour salt over the open wound" his heart is already broken but because he still loves her he is suffering by not being with her making the "wound" or his broken heart worse. "Get away please" he still loves her so if he sees her it makes things worse. "Cause I will be the death of you" this could be the man getting over her and trying to move on, yet a part of him still loves the girl but since they broke up he thinks he isnt good enough for her "I will be the death of you"
So all in all I think this kinda like a break up song. The man brokr up with his love and now he is suffering from all the pain. Thats its meaning to me I guess. Another thing you can think about is the fact it doesnt necessarily have to be a guys broken heart, just cause a guy sings the song. This could also be a girls broken heart and this is whats happening to her. But in this case I'm gonna say its a girl.

I thinking he is talking to himself. He is suffering from addiction.
He sees nothing in his eyes but yet he knows he can find the fire in them if only *his addicted self could sacrifice itself.*
The more aware he becomes of his addiction the less he likes himself.
"Is it over in my head" means he doesn't know which side will win addicted side or his true self
"I know nothing of your kind" -- means he is in denial. He will not reveal to anyone not even himself his evil mind.
"Is it over yet I cant win" -- he feels weak and cant beat his addiction.
"Pouring Salt in an open wound is addiction. Is it over yet?! Let me in!"--- Once again he feels week but after salt in the wound which hurts the most he gains confidence and demands to be let back in to his real self.
Now for the chorus:
"Sacrifice yourself" -- only one side will prevail (addicted side or fighting it off side)
"Let me have whats left" -- after everything I'll deal with what is left of me.
"I know that I can find the fire in your eyes" -- his addicted self tells his true self that he can get himself back.
"Im going all the way" he's determined to get away -- hes demanding -- please -- but still feels weak becauase addiction takes the breath right out of him and left a hole where his heart shoud be.
"You gotta fight just to make it through" -- he's gaining strength over his addiction because if not "I will be the death of you." -- addiction will kill if he does not defeat it. Hes going to kill his addicted self.
That's what I get from this.

@@selohcin well for me the line is about wanting something more than anything but eventually realizing that it cannot happen, and in the end all that left to feel is hate because you feel powerless against the situation you’re in. For me it was a girl I fell in love with, it felt amazing to be together in that short time we’ve had and after like 2 months she left the country (had plans much earlier than the day we’ve even met). I accepted the fact that it just couldn’t happen, it took me a while but I moved on.
This is what fighting a form of mental illness fills like.. when you realize you are not normal and that there is something horribly with you.. or rather said IN you .. the internal struggle.. the evil thoughts..Yes, the losing battle you've been fighting with your Demons all along..
May this song helps you win the battle or at least gain the upper hand as it has done me..

Their shows are great. never sang so loud in my life. it was fucking awesome. I loved the star wars theme they had, and they did a medley of "The Imperial March" in which they took the star wars score and made it metal, then they went into Tool "Schism", another song that I can't remember atm, and then Nirvana "Smells Like Team Spirit". it was epic, and Benjamin was having a great night, it sounded almost like the recordings.

Wow here's my story I had a Facebook friend that introduced me to this song. And it really helped me through some of my struggles. Sadly that friend blocked me. When I listen to this song now I think of the conversations we had. We liked the same music and food and movies. I'm not sure why she decided to block me but a big thank you to this person. And I'm glad to be listening to this song in 2020. I'm 21 now. And I was 16 when I listened to it last. Brings backs so many memories.

By far my favorite by them. It became my favorite back in 2016 when I took my, at the time, 4 year old to see Breaking Benjamin for her first show. During this song, I held her to my chest and was screaming the lyrics hoping she could hear me. She had her hands up the whole song. Best moment ever. No one asked for me to ramble but I did. Oops.

I recently saw Breaking Benjamin at Rock Fest in Council Bluffs, Iowa a couple months ago. Have always liked them when hearing their songs in the radio but it wasn’t until I happened to see them at a concert in which I came to see another band that I became a HUGE fan!! They stole the show from Alice In Chains and Bush and they were good too and AiC is my favorite, so that’s saying something. And the lead singer talked a little between songs and really connected with all of us. You could also tell he truly meant it when he told us how grateful he was for the fans and to be up on stage doing what he does. I took my step son to that concert to get him out of the house and bond with him and it ended up being one of the best experiences of our lives!
I miss music like this. This is why I listen to my local Rock stations!

I think these songs are deeply emotional songs for those of us who need to release pent up emotions and things we never truly got a chance to process. I think these songs are very spiritual and a lot of us are drawn to this music for that reason. Of course, they’re great songs too haha.
I used to jam out to this kind of rock music a lot in middle school and high school, and unbeknownst to me at the time, I was processing my own grief and trauma through this music. Now that I’m older, and having gone through a lot of pain and struggle in life, relistening to these old songs brings on a whole new meaning, in a way that I never experienced back then. I don’t know, I really resonate with a lot of this type of rock music. 😄😄

remember when this used to be one of the last songs in my playlist but now i’m barely

first time listening to this band but not the first listenning this music genre. I'm reconnecting myself with my spiritual being and the lyrics made me remember the process when I was "fighting" against my demons despite the horrible experiences, we all have to learn how to fight against our demons and learn from them they will we always there and it refers the verse: "You take the breath right out of me, you left a hole where my heart should be" and then the author mention " 'Cause I will be the death of you" remembering us we have the power to win our battles. That's my interpretation, I hope you liked it.
