  • Third video in a series of ski instruction videos from the neighborhood skating rink.
    In two minutes of strong circles I have experienced all the forces of a 800 vertical meter ski run that I would ski at 60 to 70 km. I learned from the repetition of body movement much more about body physics in this controlled environment. I can take this to the mountain.

    I have commented that the most important skiing muscle in your body gets a great workout skating circles. The inside thigh does a lot of work when your speed and g forces increase. You can achieve a similar strength training on the ski hill by side stepping up a hill with skis on. It takes a lot of steps, your challenge.
