I got a rad runner and that rear wheel doesn't want to come off onces I removed all bolts idk what to do I've pull so hard to make me dizzy the rear wheel just don't come off
I'm having the same issue. I literally have been trying for 2 days to get the rear tire off to no avail. Thinking of taking it to a bike shop at this point.
thank's for the tip i have a radwagon an i did a flat an i did have it upside down but not the way you had it but this time after looking at your video i know what i need to do it the right way an mess up led an so an will next time make the seat higher an go from there thank's for the info an the website on rad did not have what i needed to know in how to fix a flat how to take off the back well thank you my friend keep up the good work
Good it does have a torque arm... You called it a metal piece. BTW those are not bolts they are nuts and avoid loading the adjustable jaw on that wrench..
Weel you didnt talk about how o put it back together some of us had to figure out the hardway you have those kinda like lock washers on the tire when you put the back on those are one of thethings u need to put onright because they do fall like a washer go look at the tire they all out easy which way do they go back on?hmmm
Is it true that 'Rad-' series bikes is an online company only? Where would a person find parts and how easy is it to get a service center for 'Rads'? I'm impressed by what I see but currently own an 'Ancheer' and parts and service are impossible to come by. Thanx
I heard a lot of people in the Rad Owners Facebook group that the rear wheel is a real pain to get back on. Not sure if they're talking about the City or other Rad models. Have you had any problem getting the rear wheel back on? Something about trying to line something up correctly, and it's very difficult to do.
I haven’t had a problem, but you do need to line things up precisely to get it in. I only took off my wheel twice though. Once for my flat, and once for this video. Maybe I just had good luck 😀
Prob should have taken the battery off before flipping it over. If nothing else it would have made it lighter an easier to manipulate. Also you could buy some reusable hook and loop (velcro) wraps from Home Depot or something that way you don't need new zip ties or have to use tape for the wires. Anyway, how tall are you? Do you find the standover height to be a problem at all? Lastly what sort of kit do you have for when you end up with a flat while away from home?
+Fred Horner, those are good tips. I think I might try out that Velcro idea next time! I am 6 feet tall, and the stand over height is not a problem for me. I do have little longer legs, so that probably helps a little. My wife is 5’4” and she rides the bike all the time. She can’t stand up with two legs flat on the ground, but she just leans a little off to the side during stops and she has no issues. I carry the tools in this video in my backpack. I may eventually buy a smaller, more portable toolkit. But since I always have my backpack on my rides, it works so far. And of course an extra tube. Are you thinking of getting the bike, or do you have an electric bike already?
I'm wanting this bike and I'm looking to purchase before the month is over. It's between this and the Raleigh Misceo IE Sport which is on sale from 2699 to 1699 at the moment.
Nice! Just took a look at the Misceo. Looks like a good bike as well, heard a lot of good things about mid drive motors. There's a bike called Evelo Galaxy that has a mid drive too, but you can only use throttle if your going at least 6mph (unable to use in demand at any time). Not sure if the Misceo is programmed like that as well and that's for all mod drives, or just that one bike.
FYI I also believe I heard Mike (Radpower founder/designer) say in some video (I think an EBR review) that you should also make sure the bike is completely dry if you flip it over. I believe he said the design features that protect it from water are essentially "reversed" when you flip it over, so they might lead any stray water drops getting into places they normally would not.
Oh yeah, I just watched that video. That was on the Electric Bike Review channel in the video where they introduced the RadCity as a new model. Said if bike is wet, water could run into motor if you flip it upside down.
Maybe they were stripped at the factory. Contact Rad and they'll send you a new set. Or just pick some up a the hardware store. And you can use a vice grip to lock onto the bolts and loosen them. Then replace them with new ones.
I agree about the music! That was not a good choice on my part. I’ll probably do another one of me actually taking off the tire and putting it back on in real time just talking through it.
@@TrulyElectric I would love to see that video, a detailed take and put back of the wheel. I don't understand much about bike and I have even more difficulty because English is not my primary language so I need detailed step through instructions on everything. Good thing today I just needed to patch the inner tube and not actually take the whole wheel of, but at first I thought I had to and was almost about to take the hole thing of just to fix a flat tire. But it is good to know how to take the whole wheel off just in case for the future.
Putting it back on is much more difficult. I am having problems with the chain and the black piece. Is there a video showing how to put it back on?
Is there a vid for this ?? I’m having the same problem. Please help 🙏
can ANYONE please tell me what size screw that is at 4:18? mine broke off finally removed what was left
How do you reset the back rim it it in limp mode
is in limp mode sorry
Great video and great explanation. Thank you!

Sorry for the late response on this! Did you eventually figure out the issue with your tire not coming off?
I'm having the same issue. I literally have been trying for 2 days to get the rear tire off to no avail. Thinking of taking it to a bike shop at this point.
@@thelonercoder5816 It's the way the company made the bikes they use alot of faulty parts take it to the shop asap
@@TrulyElectric Faulty parts the company uses a lot of cheap parts and literally make things more complicated than they should be
Helpful video. I hated to see you put the seat and rear bracket on concrete floor. I would have put down towel or something
Great tutorial, Thanks for making it.
Always better to use a box end wrench or socket on axle bolts to avoid rounding edges of nuts.
Good tip!
I agree! The axle bolts are very tight so this will help avoid damaging them.
And torque to what please? Cheers
this was extremely helpful. That motor sure complicates things even more than usual. It takes time to do this.

Great, glad you found the video useful! Hope you are enjoying your radwagon.

Its making sure that the rotor is aligned and that the flats on the axles are correctly aligned. The first time is awkward. You remember after that.

I spent 25 dollars to fix myself. 10 on tube that were too small, 5 on the right size, 5 on tool and 5 on green slime.
Thanks Shane
Thank you so much~
You showed every thing except the actual removal of the wheel from the bike why ???
Yeah, there is a key step not shown, one washer on the inside of each axle.
Thanks for that, but found your background music extremely irritating... great information and much appreciated

I agree on the piano music, definitely won’t use that anymore.
