Dogs are extremely acutely aware of energy states. I think humans have grown insensitive to this because of verbal language taking up so much of our attention. But we can rediscover it if we try.
Oh my gosh, this is a common problem. But I figured it out that when I clutched my chihuahua he thought I was signaling that he had to protect me. When I lowered him to hip height, he quieted. Yay! It WORKS! Cesar understands dog language better than anyone.
You are the best. My fearful beagle was able to walk forward and pass that big scary truck and construction noises. All that matters is the pack leaders calm energy. Fantastic and without being a treat dispensing machine. It works!
This guy is a legend. I recently adopted a stray dog, who's only just 4 months old, but she is so scared of literally everything, never seen a dog this terrified before. Really makes me wonder how come a pup is so terrified of the world and people. I hope Cesar makes more content on scared dogs, with low self esteem or not sociallized etc. Because I'm literally taking notes
Tam G Smith Being one with the dog. 101 Lol! No but really, funny thing is that people think the dog needs to be changed and it’s the dogs fault for everything it does. In actuality though humans and animals interact with each other. They were created to be by our side by god. So they have a certain way of communication as well as humans do. So we have to learn their language , so to speak. It kinda goes back to a spiritual aspect of looking at things. Taking a deeper look. Not just skimming over the surface.
Also just like our mood and energy affects other people. So it affects our dogs as well because there really in tune to our feelings. Why do you think we have physical therapy dogs? And for people that are sick or dying. You know it’s just all these things that go hand and hand together. And those are the reasons why it goes back to spiritual things.
I have an anxiety disorder and sadly my dog does too because of me :( well, I know he technically wouldn’t have it if he had another owner but he’s my responsibility so I’m trying to fix it with him.
Sorry mate..would have been a tough time for u. Its great and inspiring to know u decided to take steps to make things better for both of u...i hope things are good now...go ahead mate! Love to see u both get going
not sure if it's sarcasm but yeah any dog shouldn't forced to live with people in a house and stick in chips, they should be roaming freely in the wild without any leash amirite?
Ooooo duh I never thought about that. All I have to do is be calm, live in the moment, and forget about the past. That will make my dog stop barking and attacking people. Thanks Caesar.... Hopefully my neighbor's kids are also living in the moment
why do you think that the situation you just described relates to the problem this dog and woman had? Because it doesn't. Watch a video where dogs barking at kids is the problem and you'll get the answer then you idiot
its not only living in the present, your dog can still react to the moment as well, so its important to always watch him/her and make sure that they watch you to get " THAT CALM POSITIVE ENERGY" ;-)
Dog training I don't know but on the more important "Dog Behavior Modification Methods" the two most popular on TV are Cesar Milan and Victoria Stillwell. Milan uses positive (rewards) as well as leash corrections, side submits (rare but necessary to stop dog fighting). He stresses exercise, discipline and then affection. Milan can solve any kind of dog aggression especially vicious protection of their food. Stillwell uses (positive only) methods like avoidance when a dog misbehaves. She's not in his league when it comes to serious, vicious dog behaviors. She criticized his "side submit" technique which is nuts because that's how a mother dog disciplines her puppies. She puts her mouth on the pup and holds him down until he gives up (calm submissive). Cesar can break up a Pit Bull fight and rehabilitate them. Victoria can't.
1 thing i learned from ceasar is being calm with dogs triggers them to be in a relax state , if you fear dogs congratulations you triggered the dog into prey drive mode , so you set yourself up for a bite , by the human remaining calm relax the dog stays calm relax so then the dog dont feel the need to proctect human , thanks ceasar for teaching me that
Awesome that you learned it. I've watched him since 2005 and eventually I started helping others for free with his method. I teach for fun (not as a business). 😃
Why US people have to use that annoying sweet tone each time you greet.someone? That's why you put your dogs in an excited state. They (dogs) don't like that. 1:34
@@marcyknopman9121 hello! Your dog will appreciate it. I myself were doing some stuffs incorrectly with my dog -obviously without knowing it- so it's good that we acknowledge our mistakes to improve our relationship with our beloved dogs.
My dog Buddha has a very similar problem. We got him as a puppy to be an emotional support dog for my mother's anxiety. Admittedly, we didn't do our research and just got a little dachshund Chihuahua mix. He's a good boy, love him to death. But he barks at every little sound and snarls at us. 1:35 unfortunately, this is where Victoria Stilwell is better. She makes sure people are left with results, but also does safe training that will have low risk of getting people harmed and also not get the dogs harmed through hard pokes/kicks :/ All the people liking this video are going to be fools grabbing little aggressive dogs like he did here and get themselves bitten and torn up, possibly even get people angry and snap the little dogs neck or something 😔😔😔
We got my dog a month ago and he goes off on anything that doesnt live in the house. (Animals, guest, strangers, machines) but we are not nervous people. We are actually pretty confident, so not sure what to do. Hes a great loving dog with us, but with others around hes very insecure and scared. He growls and tries to nip them
Cesar, a puppy, 4 months is being aggressive, snapping at family. He has been trained all of the dog tricks, very obedient yet this behavior is putting him on death row. Veterinarian says its genetic. He needs your help. His name is KODA and he is a miniature Australian Shepherd.
Paula's Life dogs feel our energy and state of mind. They can feel when we are projecting calm assertive energy, versus fear and tension. It’s the cornerstone of what Cesar teaches :)
You have to make the leash correction. Make sure the collar is high up on the neck and tug lightly when he barks. Lean down, get eye contact and say "NO". Remember to tug and release. Don't maintain tenison on the leash. Your dog will learn that barking is unwanted by you. You're dog isn't scared, it's a warning bark saying "get away from my female". He doesn't see you as a dominant authority Mom figure but a submissive girlfriend that he owns. Watch Cesar videos and good luck!
My poodle gets a bit nervous trimming or nails and when annoyed. Like I’ll walk up to him in his bed and he’ll growl... I’ll say stop and gets worse. Eventually he snaps out of it any ideas?

It’s amazing that it takes years for some people to figure this out. Luckily I seen Ceaser before I got my dog.
