One of my favourite stunts... Convoy a film I watched 30 times on VHS as a kid and was a great inspiration to become a stuntman!... I love this film... very simple story but so well shot and put toghether.
Beautifully executed stunt and the chickens flapping down slowly after was hilarious. Movies are nothing without guys with skilled calculation and guts like Bob Herron.
Great interview. When Convoy came out in 1978, nobody cringed when that Chevelle was destroyed in that jump. But today, if you saw a 1971 Chevelle SS being destroyed, you would be like "Oh no!!" In '78, that Chevelle was just a 7 year old hot rod that nobody cared about. Today it's priceless!
I'm looking for videos of the filming of Convoy, behind the scenes or to film locations and deleted scenes that were cut out of the film. Is there something there? Can anyone help me there?
That's my Pop!
cool. You must be proud.
He is a Legend.
Be really proud of him 👏
What a Brave man , and what a great stunt . You must be so proud.
Straight LEGEND! They don't make 'em like that anymore!

Damn I wish this didn’t cut off. It was about to get interesting.
Darn it......I wanted to see a photo of what remained......wicked stunt
I saw it. The hood stuck up in the back and the ends sort of folded downwards. There's a pic of the car floating around on the internet.
hell of a jump
Hi, Do you have the full video of this whole segment with Loren Janes talking about Bullitt?
Brilliant interview with Ernie Borgnine's stunt double on "AIRWOLF". Was this shot recently?
One hell of a jump!
