While interesting, I don't believe the hanged man is the wax bellman. I think the wax bellman is alive and we actually see him before we see the hanged man. The room just before we find the hanged man we pass through a room that has a door with a window, go near the door and a figure passes by. I believe this to be the wax bellman based on the wrinkles in the face and the red around the head that matches the depiction of the wax bellman. If these two people were the same person, then wax would have to somehow get upstairs, undress from his uniform, then hang himself in seconds to die before Six enters the next room.
gorillazsan This is a pretty good theory. If what you are saying is true, it would make sense, as the little window animation would be placed by the developers right before the room with the hanged man purposefully to prove it.
It just seems like they'd hide the wax bellman in the game with little hints rather then kill him and make it seem like he's dead but not tell you it's him.

True. But knowing there are 2 issues to the comic and 2 DLCs left before the TV show, we should take in all clues and not jump to any conclusions yet about characters or their fate. We all thought in the beginning that Six lived on the Maw and was the Lady's daughter, but the comics show she was brought to the Maw by the Ferryman. While this doesn't mean she may or may not be her daughter, it shows we were too quick to jump on something based on guessing.

My theory: It could be that Lady's daughter is not Six, her real daughter would be the brown-haired girl with trensa on the left side of the android game (very little nightmares), remember that she was wearing the yellow raincoat and when she falls into the sea and dies Six picks up the yellow raincoat and takes it. And my final theory would be that Lady had Six kidnapped and taken to The Maw to finish her for not saving her daughter's life and that is the reason why she wants to kill her.
Guys, in LN 2 show how Six take the raincloat. For me the Hanghing men is the “Thin men”. He maybe try to stop the loop reaching Six at the Maw for... maybe kill her? But he couldn’t. So he written a letter for her and kill him self, for repeat the loop hoping to start over and be able to fix things. In fact, at the end of the DLC credits of LN1 we can saw a small cinematic: A TV turn on and, after a short interference, on the TV screen appear the “Thin men”. I don't think the children's' faces were deformed at birth. I believe the Lady stole their youth and beauty making them deformed. She possibly only had children so she could steal the beauty and that was why the Wax Bellhop killed himself because he refused to be apart of her sick demented scheme of having children not for motherhood nor family but for their youth and beauty. He was possibly her 1st victim as well. Continuously reshaping his face to look good only for her to muck it up again and again. Six took revenge for her father and siblings by killing the Lady and stealing her powers perhaps to give back her siblings' youth and appearance so they may have a better and somewhat normal life. Edit: This was just a theory I had years ago. Now that more has been revealed and delved into I no longer believe in this theory. it's still fun to speculate on or even see it as an alternate story. Here's proof; 1) The Hanging Man's close looks very similar to the Thin Man's 2) We know that Thin Man is Really Really Tall just like the Hunging Man 3) The chair Hanging Man used to hang himself is expat the same with the one's Mono sits at the end of Little Nightmares 2. 4) We aslo noticed there is a eye in the door the Thin Man's trapped, The exact same eye is in the room Hanging Man is. My Theory: The Hanging Man didn’t hang himself, as evidenced by the chair not being knocked over, and the Hanging Man’s feet being above the chair. I think someone (most likely the Lady) killed him and tried to make it look like a suicide.

In the DLC at the end after the credits you see a tv with no signal then an image appears for like 3 seconds and it’s the hanging mans full body. You can barely see his face because it’s a little staticky but it’s enough to see that his face wasn’t deformed. It was a man I have never seen in the game. It gave me chills and like just like that the DLC ended.

Except when Six was Born, both the butler and the Lady's husband knew the lady would kill her (Showing that the husband knew she would, meaning he had other children with her, and they all died), So he had the butler take Six to The Janitor, since that's the place where thr Lady can't see at, in the story the Lady killed her husband, and when Six was well, Six, the Butler and Janitor had her go to the village, so she'd be safe yet, obviously in the story had been brought back a year later to the Janitor, which makes me to believe the Cheifs never knew of the Janitor was taking care of Six. This leads me to believe when Six's hunger process started, she FORGOT, everything, including the Janitor being her cerite father. And she ran from him and he chased after her, the cheifs thought she was a runaway kid, and the Lady knew it was her daughter, so she tried to kill her, yet her being brought back to continue all of this work, leads me to also believe she was SUPPOSED, to kill her mother.

ok, ill start slowly, First! go and read the 2 comics of little nightmares for free online ok? did it?, now, in the little nightmares world there are deities or forces that have great powers BUT my theory states that the power they have is stolen or borrowed from the life energy of the kids, why? this entities struggle and fight to get as much children as they can (as seen with the northwind (comic) and with the geisha (in-game) ) and as you can see in the final part of the DLC secrets of the maw (SPOILERS AHEAD) "The kid" reaches the home/lair of the geisha but he fails his attempt to scape from her and is caught, then the geisha absorbs his energy or kills him, from that point there are 3 possibilities ... 1.- The geisha absorbs energy 2.-Absorbs life or beauty 3.-Absorbs power from the kids. So when done this act they become defenseless gnomes. (And maybe thats the way she tries/gets to be beautifull) Six's name comes from the fact (as seen on the comic) that they used to be 5 children (wich she met) before her that got trapped in the maw. Six is not related to the geisha since (as seen on the comic) she came from the outside world and then from a casualty of destiny she got to go to the maw. She is as beautiful as the mask she wears. In the DLC (spoiler alert) the runaway child is in a scene where he is in the Lady’s house and she is looking at herself in the mirror. The Lady does appear to be hideous, but that is because the mirror shows what’s on the inside. She is beautiful in appearance but horrifying in mind and personality. The only reason she appears to be like this is because she has turned the children that she was supposed to care for into the gnomes to gain their youth and beauty. These are all cool theories, but we also have to keep in mind that Six did come from the Nest, something we see in the prequel game, and got the raincoat from another child who was killed by the Pretender. She then left on a raft and got to the Maw. There are some theories that the Pretender is the child of the hanging man and the school teacher who is shown in the trailer for the unreleased newest little nightmares game.

Here's proof;
1) The Hanging Man's close looks very similar to the Thin Man's
2) We know that Thin Man is Really Really Tall just like the Hunging Man
3) The chair Hanging Man used to hang himself is expat the same with the one's Mono sits at the end of Little Nightmares 2.
4) We aslo noticed there is a eye in the door the Thin Man's trapped, The exact same eye is in the room Hanging Man is.

My Theory:
The Hanging Man didn’t hang himself, as evidenced by the chair not being knocked over, and the Hanging Man’s feet being above the chair. I think someone (most likely the Lady) killed him and tried to make it look like a suicide.

I really don't think the hanging man killed himself, it's hard to believe when the chair is sitting up perfectly and there's like... an extremely big gap between the chair and himself.
In the DLC at the end after the credits you see a tv with no signal then an image appears for like 3 seconds and it’s the hanging mans full body. You can barely see his face because it’s a little staticky but it’s enough to see that his face wasn’t deformed. It was a man I have never seen in the game. It gave me chills and like just like that the DLC ended.

Except when Six was Born, both the butler and the Lady's husband knew the lady would kill her (Showing that the husband knew she would, meaning he had other children with her, and they all died), So he had the butler take Six to The Janitor, since that's the place where thr Lady can't see at, in the story the Lady killed her husband, and when Six was well, Six, the Butler and Janitor had her go to the village, so she'd be safe yet, obviously in the story had been brought back a year later to the Janitor, which makes me to believe the Cheifs never knew of the Janitor was taking care of Six. This leads me to believe when Six's hunger process started, she FORGOT, everything, including the Janitor being her cerite father. And she ran from him and he chased after her, the cheifs thought she was a runaway kid, and the Lady knew it was her daughter, so she tried to kill her, yet her being brought back to continue all of this work, leads me to also believe she was SUPPOSED, to kill her mother.

When I first saw the hunter in reminding me of the portrait of the Hanging man
ok, ill start slowly, First! go and read the 2 comics of little nightmares for free online ok? did it?, now, in the little nightmares world there are deities or forces that have great powers BUT my theory states that the power they have is stolen or borrowed from the life energy of the kids, why? this entities struggle and fight to get as much children as they can (as seen with the northwind (comic) and with the geisha (in-game) ) and as you can see in the final part of the DLC secrets of the maw (SPOILERS AHEAD) "The kid" reaches the home/lair of the geisha but he fails his attempt to scape from her and is caught, then the geisha absorbs his energy or kills him, from that point there are 3 possibilities ... 1.- The geisha absorbs energy 2.-Absorbs life or beauty 3.-Absorbs power from the kids. So when done this act they become defenseless gnomes. (And maybe thats the way she tries/gets to be beautifull)
Six's name comes from the fact (as seen on the comic) that they used to be 5 children (wich she met) before her that got trapped in the maw.
Six is not related to the geisha since (as seen on the comic) she came from the outside world and then from a casualty of destiny she got to go to the maw.

Oh my god, this is so irritating. This is all false. The developers of the game even stated that the Lady is in no way related to Six. And, the Lady is beautiful. She is as beautiful as the mask she wears. In the DLC (spoiler alert) the runaway child is in a scene where he is in the Lady’s house and she is looking at herself in the mirror. The Lady does appear to be hideous, but that is because the mirror shows what’s on the inside. She is beautiful in appearance but horrifying in mind and personality. The only reason she appears to be like this is because she has turned the children that she was supposed to care for into the gnomes to gain their youth and beauty. Next time, do some research before you _try_ to make claims and statements. Oh, and I would work on that grammar and spelling before you even get to the research part.

These are all cool theories, but we also have to keep in mind that Six did come from the Nest, something we see in the prequel game, and got the raincoat from another child who was killed by the Pretender. She then left on a raft and got to the Maw. There are some theories that the Pretender is the child of the hanging man and the school teacher who is shown in the trailer for the unreleased newest little nightmares game.

In the wax bellman portrait is a whole mechanism, not just a rope... in the DLC we saw the Runaway kid using a lot of those mechanismes. (I love this story so my brain is very excited)
