- This video explores the cut content of the First Little Nightmares game. I go back to the Hunger build and look at all the available trailers and also check out the gamescom kitchen demo as well concept art and unused things (like the wax bellman). I hope you enjoy my video.

they seemed to have reused the eye door concept in little nightmares 2, except it’s not nearly as big and it’s in the tower and not the maw

I'm sad that the wax bellman got cut from both games:( he seems like a really interesting character! Like the area you would first see him in would most likely be a hotel for the guests seems like a really cool idea. I really hope the game developers add him in some day

Pretty sad that they removed some stuff. But I like that the plot is more mysteryous now. It's more clear now how much this game was inspired by Spirited Away, which is great.

Kinda wish they kept the part at 6:50 in the final game. It much scarier, and it makes more sense that there’s an elevator to the meat grinder area because in the final game there’s only a little shaft and no actual door in the freezer so how do the chefs even get the frozen meat??
I think this shows some lore. Lore that says that The Maw used to be very different in the past. Perhaps back then, the children would go to get the food for the chefs that used to be in the kitchen.

Actually, I think he could still be alive. In fact, I beleive that there may be even more chefs. Remember, The Maw is a very vast location. There are many secrets behind the doors of places we may never get to see. It could be possible that he is just behind some of the doors in the kitichen, working with his own sibling, or perhaps siblings.
I don't see anyone talking about how six looks a lot bigger compared to the chefs in the first trailer, and it seems more claustrophobic in the original hunger trailer.
2:18 the leech model does have legs they just dont use them, and its hard asf to see ingame, but you can see it in the model!
4:41 im not sure about this but i think that concept was also used in the kitchen level, there was a chance where when you got the key and went down, you'd see a nome running inside of the food closet place, then a nome stuck in a jar. you can break him free and hug him, but he doesnt do much.
5:05 theres a part in the last level of the game where you jump across food plates after escaping the twins, i'm pretty sure this is reused in that part.
5:21 freezer was probably reused in the kitchen where you get the meat and make a meat swingy thingy and swing into the vent, i dont know though.
5:43 that same exact cart model is used inside the second part of where you meet the eye.
5:47 this section was probably reused where you jumped ontop of the food plates, im not sure tho
6:22 the whistle idea was reused in LN2 where you call six, its very helpful :)
8:35 just a theory of mine, but what if bellman moved by hanging like a puppet? that would make him VERY scary in the game, but it was probably cut due to bellman being too fast.
8:49 another theory of mine, what if this was a cut area for the final level? this could be another version of the food plate jumper, it would have been AWESOME for this to be in the final cut of the game.

The whistle thing kinda sounds like the calling mechanic but most bosses don’t hear you when you call six. I don’t even think you can call in the teacher scenes
@@mikecherry7548 they mostly dont hear you cause they make mono whisper to six when monsters are around.
@@breaker1196 sometimes when you’re near a monster Mono won’t call for Six at all. He’ll just shake his head, almost like he’s telling the player “no”.
For the (BONUS PART) Its actually used, you just have to get seen by the chef and make sure he sees you go into the meat grinder room!

I would LOVE it if Bamdi Namco decided to take ALL the scraped concepts from the original and ALL the concepts originally for Hunger (like six being kidnapped from her home and working as a slave) and they put all of it together and make it into a 10 year anniversary special game. Of course it wouldn't be canon to the actual lore of Little Nightmares, but it would still be amazing to see/play the original version of Little Nightmares that is Hunger, for the first time.

A lot of this content is really cool, I get that it was likely cut for a reason but it would be cool to see a finished version of what could have been. Another thing they removed to keep the rating as it is was more gruesome deaths for Six btw, pretty interesting that the game was originally going to go that way.
Six was kinda still taken so she could work for the Maw. They take filtered to turn them into Nomes. Then put them to work in the engine room

ik im super late, but i REALLY wish they kept the hotel area for the bellman in the game 8:39, it would have been a cool concept for like maybe a big hotel lobby somewhere with these little rooms, it just would have been great, and it would have made the game longer, and it seems like in 8:33 the bellman was going to be the hotel staff member? giving out the cards to the rooms?
Im a little late, but I still hope we can eventually get a game that takes place in a hotel. Like you would either start from the top and go down or start from the bottom and go up. Having LN3 take place in SEVERAL places kind of makes it seem overcrowded imo, and uses ideas that easily could've been developed into their own individual games. Such as a carnival, or the Necropolis.

Very cool and well done. I hadn't seen a lot of the concept art shown off here, and I never would have known that they actually revealed the basic plot of the Hunger concept.
By using the waybackmachine you can look at old tarsier stuff. They even used to have a post on city of metronome
I think the slave stuff actually did happen, just before the events of LN. It would’ve been cool if there was a prologue on how she escaped that life.
It might’ve happened when Six was taken to the Maw by the Ferryman, also LN deserves another comic, it would probably show that in the prologue, of how the chefs, And the Janitor taken to the Maw.

The janitor chasing six down the stairs his face kinda looks like one of the guest if you look very close
little nightmares felt like a different game with these concept arts, Its probably because it resembles a *HOTEL* more than the japanese rooms that we got in the final game, also probably why it feels like a hotel is because theres a dining room. (Even tho hotels dont have dining rooms but whatever)

I've always loved the concept art of little nightmares and little nightmares 2, and as much as I love the games I don't think they quite capture the arts surrealism

A lot of stuff used for LN1 was taken from Very Little Nightmares, such as the the trash shoe monster thing, and the barrel of nomes might be from the Pretenders Room, puzzel.

@@raptorjesus2516 If you read towards the beginning of the video, the Maw is described as an "underwater resort" for the powerful elite. Basically like a luxury cruise. On cruises, they usually have spas (bathhouse concept), buffets, nightclubs (not mentioned in the game, but when they are talking about these guests indulging in their whims), etc. And the fact that the game itself is inspired by Spirited Away makes all the sense in the world.

If you have a whisle that distracts the chefs the chefs would be the easiest thing in the world
If you give the transitions maybe 10 seconds then it'll be easy for some viewers like me to read them, they're going pretty fast. Other than that, great video.

1:23 - it seems to me that this scene should have been right before the end, Six should have come in instead of climbing the stairs in the dining room with the guests
I use to think there's going to be a DLC for the bellman.
Love the game but it would be so interesting to see a different version like a directors cut or something with the original footage. I heard that a lot of the game was scrapped which is why the game is so short apparently.
