He probably meant if she was doing indies or still wrestling part time and she just heard it in a different light. Much like how she didn't get the joke about the "19 20" year until they brought it up, which it did sound like she said she was diagnosed in the year 1920. She's not very good at doing interviews you know, and that's not me being disrespectful. You can tell she's somewhat nervous when she does them.
I was never a big aj lee fan when she was in wwe, but I have a whole new level of respect for her. it takes a strong person to open up about their personal issues
To people saying shes average looking, flat and overrated. I would rather look at a natural beauty whos worked hard to get the body shes comfortable in rather than a insecure plastic, botox, botched up women we have around the media nowdays
Mental illness is no joke. It starts with what we consume. Our gut is literally our second brain. Fill it with garbage, and be more susceptible to serious issues. AJ is entirely right though. Until I legitimately acknowledged that social anxiety disorder ran my life and I needed help--- AND that it was OK to get help--- nothing changed. If you're reading this going through it, try and truly understand you are not alone! ✊
Yeezy Dude Dude a fan of wrestling rather it be men's or women's so I can wish and plus I was that she would flourish perfectly in the women's division now especially on smackdown
AJ Lee is so cool beautiful too I miss seeing her on Monday nights she was the best along with Paige. if AJ ever returned I'D love to see take Sasha Banks Becky Lynch Charlotte Bayley Mickie James those would be great matches it probably won't happen but it's a nice dream.we love you AJ keep fighting that disorder like you are rooting for you 🙂❤
Very insightful. I currently am in CM Punk's situation, where I have to deal with someone whose depression comes and goes. At times we'd argue and I couldn't understand what her problem was. One day we were watching a show we always liked, and the actress in it went through a deep depression that lasted for half the season. That's when it first hit me that I was completely doing things wrong. Instead of arguing back at her, or telling her to cheer up, I kept quiet and just sat there and held onto her. I turn my phone off, and I completely focus on her. My advice is to try and help the best you can. Sometimes the best healing is just holding onto them and not letting go. And I came here to just watch a clip about wrestling, and instead I'm learning about life.
She is such an amazing role model. There are so little moral, humble, down-to-earth famous people nowadays. I just hope she comes back to wrestling one day. I miss her soooo much.
Seriously so proud of you Aj. This made me emotional. You were my favorite in the WWE throughout your entire career. I still love you more than all these new girls. I hope to see you have a special one night only match sometime in the future. Maybe in like 5 or 10 years?
It's a shame she was only with the company for 4-5 years, she's my favorite women/diva off all time and I think she could have been the greatest if she was there longer
She was working with glorified model's and fitness models that couldn't wrestle their way out of a paper bag I think she was probably glad to leave when punk left because she wasn't far behind him
@@rooseveltheath yeah she'd love to work with sasha or any of the horsewomen, the other girls are there to gain popularity and gain opportunities outside wwe
Im half way through her book and honestly I have never been so interested in a book in my life. I thought we already had stuff in common, were even more in common than I thought. I love her so much! Such an inspiration and I dont just throw that name around. She really is.
Gucci: Well there's so much to discuss. AJ has seemingly done it all. Bipolar is very, very serious. For anyone with it, like AJ said, the right medicine is vital. Therapy, all of it is real. Keep fighting.
I grew up taking care of a bipolar mother, and later developed depression myself. It really is helpful hearing someone I was genuinely a huge fan of being so open and honest about it. Can't wait to get the book, was a really great interview to boot
I'm so glad she's come out and shared her story. Admitting to the problem is the hardest thing. Also putting it out for the whole world is even more humbling. It's great to hear what to do and what bipolar really is.. she is soo strong..
Yes, it's a joke. Jim knows a small amount about wrestling, but doesn't follow it, and he knows AJ wrestled. He is just trying to annoy all the twitter wrestling fans, who get whiny and pissy really easily, when he doesn't know something LOL. He even says it at the end of the Nikki Bella/Lana interview, the same day. This isn't a wrestling show, and only Sam is the expert, which is why he handles most of these wwe interviews
AJ and Sam always have great interviews. I just love that Sam knows more about AJ and wrestling and can connect with her on many more levels than Jim and everyone else that has interviewed her recently. Great chemistry will always result in a great interview.
I am not, at all, the type of person to comment on anything, but this interview got me. just caught it on a replay, and, man, I needed that. the way she described bipolar is something I think many of us can relate to. (knowing you're in a swing, knowing you can't stop it, but trying to be better. not having support until it's more of a catch up, than preventative. all the feels.) so as a 25 year old chick listening to "dude radio" thank you for a break from the "dude" and giving us bit more of something we all feel!
My idol right here.... AJ... she follows her dreams... her heart... that's my exact same plan, and I am also planning on writing a book someday in the future... she's an animal activist, former wrestler, author, and wife. She's doing so much, and she loves it.
Absolutely had no idea....the she struggled through life and I think it's super crazy awesome that they made it after having to struggle thourgh life like they have...major Props two Aj and Punk
This was a very genuine video to watch. Sad to see that people are typing down in the comment section about how pretty she is and how stupid her book is or talking about her husband😒
Knowing now that AJ was / is bipolar is a shock and that she was able to direct that rage into her career is amazing . I'm flooded now with the bits where CM Punk said that " He digs crazy chicks " or they had her acting crazy during her term with WWE .
WWE is a business in so many different ways. One way it's a business is the promoter tries to work, milk and control every aspect of the talent he has. When a talent one ups the promoter, they get really, really angry. Punk pulled a few over on McMahon, so he's beyond hated. He left with his balls and pride, which McMahon resents the most. It's almost ironic but Punk & Ryback have so much in common in that regard.
Lungsy1988 They hate Aj too, she burned Steph on twitter once really badly and got mad cuz she didnt wanna be in the total divas cuz she was the main thing while she was on the roster. The reason she had all of that is because they simply couldnt go against the fact that Aj was so loved and well accepted by fans all the time no matter what character, role, heel or anything else she plays. She was the division carrier at the time, not focusing on her would destroy womens wrestling cuz it just wouldnt be nearly as good.
I miss watching AJ Lee Wrestle. She was the best part of the Divas Era of Wrestling in the WWE alongside Eve Torres, Kaitlyn, Maryse, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, Layla ( Layla El), & Melina because these Divas were so great in the Ring & on the microphone. And, they made you care about the in ring work that they were doing.
The true longest running womens champ. Screw that plastic windup doll in attempts to cover up her reign. Her and Punk were true peoples champs, the strength in theyre loyal following to this day is proof of that.
AJ Lee: Wow!!! Thank you so much. I'm bipolar myself. Loved her wrestling career. Admire her so much more even now. An awesome talent. Thank you, AJ, for your bravery.
This is very inspiring for me to see someone in the public eye that seems quote on quote "tough" but has gone through and continues to go through mental struggles. It's easy to see people in the public eye and think they have these perfect lives. Also, to find Daniel Bryan is depressed is very inspiring . I think a lot of young people can be helped by examples like her that this is not something to be ashamed about .
Thank You AJ Lee for being the perfect role model and inspiration. You got me back into wrestler after I stopped watching wrestling after the attitude era. Just got your book Crazy is my SuperPower. XD
I can so relate to her bcuz my mom suffers from bipolar as well so I feel for and knows the signs. Ppl who doesn't know or have a clue about it they will just think the person is just "mad" cuz they want to be but it runs DEEPER that than that.Bipolar isn't easy and have seen how my mom fights or try to fight with this sickness and it isn't easy. BTW I know I kinda went off the whole topic or went on to one topic of the interview but love u AJ Lee😘😘😘 miss seeing in the WWE.
It's just sad that in most interviews with female wrestlers, a majority of the comments are perverse and objectifying them. This is a legitimately serious discussion regarding legitimately serious issues people deal with across the world and THIS is what most of you came away with? SOME introspection please?
kingjappyjoe420 Surely you're able enough to understand the difference between people calling her 'beautiful' and making derogatory remarks objectifying her sexually. Also, was referring to the disparity in comments, about the subject matter and her sexual appeal. I get she's attractive, hell I think she's beautiful and I would say it if I feel it, but she's not an object, toy/pet, or a body without a soul for a majority of those who commented here (on a video about her struggles with bipolar disorder mind you) to blatantly sexualize her. Again, this is also my opinion, and you can feel free to think otherwise.
kingjappyjoe420 and I was also referring to videos including female wrestlers in general, and how 70% or more of the comments are always laden with heavy innuendo, interesting to observe if you ask me.
kingjappyjoe420 Also, I would never tell these people posting comments about their dicks and fapping off, or referring to women they've never even met or know in person, as whores and sluts cause of whatever repressed bullshit is going on within them, 'what to do' cause I know the mindset they possess, and understand that it would be like banging my head against a wall, beyond a certain point. I just asked them to introspect and think about it, cause this sort of behaviour, often makes for interesting observation as I told you.
kingjappyjoe420 Just like I find it interesting that you equated my comments about people being 'perverse and objectifying her' with 'calling her beautiful'. No correlation between the two as that was clearly not the section of commenters I was referring to, but just saying, it was interesting you typed that!!
Being the crazy chick made her the most popular diva during her time in WWE. I mean what other gimmick could've made a 5ft 2inch petit girl work for her? You bash (WWE) Vince for her gimmick when it was the main reason of her big push.
I am also bipolar & have depression. I also didn't realize it until I was about 30 years old. My mom also has bipolar & she has breakdowns often but she insists she has a problem but she has the same things I had... Same behavior... She refuses to go to a Dr & put on meds.
No AJ vs Kaitlyn will forever be one of the most iconic storylines. It seemed so real like they actually hated eachother. So much better than todays storylines.
Wow this is jarring to listen to cus this shit is exactly how my family is as well and literally no one ever been checked. I always knew something was up, especially with myself but no one ever respected it, especially my mother. My dad was never abusive but he was a drunk. Everything she said is so true to me as well. Whoa.
This made me realize I should get back on my medicine. I thought I could beat bipolar without meds. But it’s a constant battle... between mania... and buying sprees... or depression and sleeping sprees..
well my parents were fighting for over 25 years i remember it as long since i was 3 or 5, they fight and in few days things are normal, then it went from fight into morning and happy by night, not physical fights, just vulgar word fight
The "CM" is not even much of a mystery anymore. He revealed on his DVD that it stood for "Chick Magnet" because a friend of his was called Chick Magnet Venom and they were to become a tag team, but Punk didn't really like the whole chick magnet gimmick so he just shortened it to CM and since his name was already "Punk" he became CM Punk. But I suppose it doesn't have a universal meaning these days
Hi AJ. CM would be Chicago Made. I glad u r with him. And yes I am one of his greatest fan. I am a bipolar too. But am working as a juniour accountant in North East Bottling, Shillong, India
AJ is such a class act. Would love to see her back in WWE. Would get a massive pop. She was the female devision in WWE.
'Do you wrestle?' Jesus, Jim. Did he not even google her before she walked in?
redj2012 he's doing it on purpose to annoy the pro wrestling fans
maybe chipper was thinking are you currently wrestling and thinking if she was working outside of wwe.
I haven't listened in awhile, I didn't realise it was a bit until I heard him talking to the one Cena proposed to
He probably meant if she was doing indies or still wrestling part time and she just heard it in a different light. Much like how she didn't get the joke about the "19 20" year until they brought it up, which it did sound like she said she was diagnosed in the year 1920. AJ Lee is the REAL REASON for the Women's Revolution #GiveDivasaChance
LIKE if you agree!
JobberNation: She just seemed to do it her way, and she dominated the divas division. Is trailblazer a good word for her? Dominator is for sure.
AJ Lee still looks good plus she would flourish with the women's wrestlers now especially on
smackdown

wwe typical, so shes has bipolar, ok lets do a storyline that makes her look crazy, respectful
some people can cope better with that this way... they don't want to hide behind a mask
Blade ManX it happens with evry great gimmick. ..Stone cold ,cm punk ,bryan. ........It makes people get more into the storylines and believable....
Blade ManX Wow. Never thought about that. That is pretty fucked up.
ever heard of life imitating art?
WWE didn't know about her Bipolar disorder, she didn't tell them. Very few people knew.

WWE is a business in so many different ways. One way it's a business is the promoter tries to work, milk and control every aspect of the talent he has.
